Blooming Beauty: Spring Adventure in Anza-Borrego Desert
Visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in spring was an unforgettable experience. The desert was in full bloom, and the flowers were everywhere—vibrant colors scattered across the landscape. I could not even imagine that the desert can be so colorful and vivid with life.
A tip: bring plenty of water and sunscreen. The desert heat can be intense, even in spring, and there’s little shade on some trails.
One of my favorite moments was just sitting quietly and watching the desert come alive. The flowers, the birds, and the quiet made my day!

The most iconic bridge in New York City!
Dreams come true! Surely, I went to see the Brooklyn Bridge when I came to New York. Walking across it was lovely. You get these awesome views of the skyline, and it’s just so cool to be on such an iconic bridge.
A tip: try to go early or later in the day to avoid the crowds. It’s a lot more peaceful.
I really enjoyed just taking my time, looking around, and soaking in the whole vibe. It’s one of those things that feels even better in person than in pictures! Totally worth it.

Exploring the Tranquil Waterfalls of the Pacific Northwest🚿
#magicalxmastrip #pacificnorthwest #usa
The Pacific Northwest is a treasure trove of natural beauty, and its waterfalls are the crown jewels. Hidden among lush forests and moss-covered cliffs, these cascades are the perfect escape for those seeking tranquility and awe-inspiring scenery.
One of the region’s most iconic spots is Multnomah Falls in Oregon. Plunging 620 feet in two dramatic tiers, it’s a postcard-perfect destination. The easy hike to Benson Bridge offers a close-up view of the falls, where the roar of water creates a peaceful symphony against the vibrant greenery. For a quieter experience, visit during the early morning or in the off-season when mist rises from the falls, creating a magical atmosphere.
Heading north into Washington, Snoqualmie Falls captivates with its 268-foot drop. The surrounding trails provide panoramic views, but the best way to take in its beauty is simply to stand at the base and let the cool spray refresh your senses.
For those willing to venture further, Silver Falls State Park, known as the “crown jewel” of Oregon’s state parks, boasts a Trail of Ten Falls. This loop takes you behind several waterfalls, offering unique perspectives of shimmering water curtains.
Each waterfall has its own personality, from gentle trickles to thunderous cascades, but they all share an unparalleled ability to soothe the soul. Exploring these tranquil spots is more than a nature trip—it’s a chance to reset, reconnect, and experience the magic of the Pacific Northwest firsthand.

Ho ho ho! If there’s one place that gets me feeling extra jolly, it’s Oahu, my dear friends! Here’s why this island is on my “Nice List” year after year:
1. Adventure for the Naughty and Nice!
Whether you’ve been extra good or a little mischievous, Oahu’s got something for everyone! If you’re the adventurous type, surf the big waves on the North Shore, or take a hike up Diamond Head—the views are simply magical! But if you prefer some peace and quiet (like me after a long sleigh ride), you can relax on the soft sand at Waikiki Beach or enjoy the calm waters of Lanikai.
2. Culture and History That Warm Your Heart
Oahu isn’t just about fun in the sun, my friends—it’s full of history and culture that’ll make your heart grow three sizes! Pearl Harbor is a must-see for anyone who wants to honor the past, and don’t forget to check out the Iolani Palace and Byodo-In Temple to experience Hawaii’s royal heritage and peaceful traditions.
3. Scenery That’s the True Meaning of “Beautiful”
From the majestic cliffs of the Na Pali Coast to the crystal-clear waters of Hanauma Bay, Oahu’s landscapes are like the most beautiful Christmas card you’ve ever received. The colors are so vibrant, even Rudolph would be jealous of the view!
So, whether you’re naughty or nice, Oahu is sure to bring you holiday cheer all year long! Ho ho ho!
Epic views of Monument Valley
Visiting Monument Valley was an unforgettable experience! The landscape is like nothing else—huge, red rock formations stretching for miles. What I really loved was how peaceful it was. There were barely any people around, so it felt like I had the place to myself.
Having a car is definitely necessary to explore, since the valley is spread out. I drove around the famous formations, and it was like stepping into a Western movie.
One thing to note is the weather can change quickly, so be prepared. Overall, it was an amazing trip, and I can’t wait to go back someday!

Freezing but beautiful Mountain Washington
Visiting Mount Washington was such a cool experience! The drive up was amazing, especially in the fall with all the colorful trees. The views were beautiful all the way up, but as I got higher, it got really cold. By the time I was close to the top, everything was frozen, and I literally drove into a cloud. I couldn’t see anything, but it was kind of fun in a weird way.
Even though the weather wasn’t great up top, the whole experience was totally worth it. It felt like a real adventure. One thing I’d recommend is to dress warm, even if it’s nice at the bottom. The weather changes fast up there. Despite the cold, I really enjoyed it and would do it again!

Winter’s Coming: Utah’s National Parks Take on a Snowy Spin!
#magicalxmastrip #utah #usa
When winter knocks on Utah’s doorstep, it brings a whole new vibe to the state’s famous national parks. Picture this: snowflakes gently dusting the red rock formations, towering hoodoos wrapped in frosty layers, and landscapes that look like they were plucked straight out of a winter wonderland.
Take Zion National Park, for example. As the winter chill rolls in, the crowds melt away (pun intended!), leaving you to hike through the canyon in total peace. The red rocks pop against the snow, and you might even spot a deer or two in a cozy winter coat.
Meanwhile, Arches National Park? Pure magic. The famous arches and rock formations, usually sun-soaked and desert-dusted, get their own winter makeover with a blanket of snow, making it look like a scene from a snow globe. The best part? You’ll have all the time and space to snap epic photos without the crowds!
And let’s not forget Bryce Canyon—the land of hoodoos and fairy-tale landscapes. When winter arrives, these towering rock formations get a frosty crown, turning the park into a snow-covered fantasyland. It’s the kind of place where you can’t help but feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret winter oasis.
So, if you’re looking to escape the usual hustle and bustle, grab your winter gear and head to Utah’s national parks. The snow makes everything more magical, and who wouldn’t want to see red rocks and icy peaks in one epic adventure? Let’s hit the snow!
Winter Exploration in Oregon: A Winter Wonderland
#magicalxmastrip #oregon #usa
Winter in Oregon offers an enchanting experience, where snow-covered peaks, icy landscapes, and serene forests create an idyllic setting for outdoor adventures. Whether you’re seeking winter sports or simply wish to immerse yourself in Oregon’s cold-weather beauty, the state offers a multitude of experiences that truly come alive in the winter months.
Begin your winter journey in the Cascade Mountains, home to Mount Hood, which stands tall against the snowy backdrop. During winter, the mountain is a hub for skiing and snowboarding, offering pristine, powdery slopes at Timberline Lodge and Mount Hood Meadows. For those preferring a more tranquil experience, the area offers numerous snowshoeing and winter hiking trails. The trails around Timberline are particularly scenic, allowing visitors to explore the winter wonderland at their own pace while surrounded by towering snow-covered trees.
The Oregon Coast presents a unique winter adventure. While the beaches are often quieter in winter, they remain just as beautiful. Cannon Beach is especially striking during this season, where the iconic Haystack Rock stands in contrast against the grey winter sky and the crashing waves. The stormy coastal weather adds to the drama, making the area feel both wild and serene. Ecola State Park offers incredible coastal views, perfect for winter hikes with fewer crowds.
For a peaceful winter retreat, head to the Willamette National Forest, where the snow-covered trees and frozen streams create a magical, quiet atmosphere. Cross-country skiing or snowshoeing along trails like Santiam Pass provides an immersive way to enjoy the tranquil winter environment.
Oregon’s winter landscapes offer both adventure and serenity, making it a perfect destination to embrace the season’s beauty in its purest form.
Visiting Yosemite National Park in Winter

Yosemite National Park transforms into a serene, snow-covered wonderland during the winter months, offering a truly unique experience for visitors. The iconic granite peaks, cascading waterfalls, and towering trees take on a new life under a blanket of snow, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and awe that is unmatched.
The park’s centerpiece, Yosemite Valley, becomes even more magical in winter. The towering granite walls of El Capitan and Half Dome are dusted with snow, providing breathtaking views that feel almost otherworldly. Yosemite Falls, while quieter in winter, offers a unique beauty as parts of the waterfall freeze, forming glistening ice sculptures. The valley trails are perfect for snowshoeing or taking leisurely walks while surrounded by this serene, snowy landscape.
One of the highlights of winter in Yosemite is Badger Pass Ski Area, a family-friendly destination for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. For those who prefer a more leisurely winter activity, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing through the park’s trails provide an intimate way to experience its quiet beauty.
Another must-visit location is the Mariposa Grove, where the ancient giant sequoias stand tall amid the snow. These trees, some thousands of years old, are even more impressive when their massive trunks contrast with the pure white snow.
Winter also offers a rare chance to enjoy Yosemite with fewer crowds, making it an ideal time to explore the park in peace. Warm up with a cozy stay in one of the park’s lodges or sip a hot drink by a fire as you take in the serene beauty of the winter landscape.

Snow and Winter in Bryce Canyon National Park: A Wonderland Awaits

As winter sweeps into southern Utah, Bryce Canyon National Park transforms into a magical wonderland that feels straight out of a snow globe. With its iconic hoodoos dusted in white, crisp air, and peaceful trails, Bryce in winter is nothing short of breathtaking. It’s a season that doesn’t just arrive—it blankets the park in silence and serenity, inviting visitors to experience its beauty in a whole new way.
The park’s famous hoodoos—those quirky rock formations that look like something from another planet—take on an almost magical quality when capped with snow. The contrast of the fiery red-orange rocks against the sparkling white snow is a photographer’s dream. Views from Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, and Inspiration Point are particularly dazzling during this time of year. The soft light of winter mornings and evenings adds an ethereal glow to the landscape, making it feel like you’ve stumbled into a hidden realm.
Winter also brings a quiet charm to the park, with fewer crowds allowing for a much more intimate experience. Hiking trails like Navajo Loop and Queens Garden remain open, weather permitting, giving you the chance to wander among snow-dusted hoodoos. For the more adventurous, Bryce Amphitheater becomes a playground for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Walking through the amphitheater on a winter day feels like stepping into a painting, with every turn offering a new masterpiece.

If you’re not a hardcore winter adventurer, don’t worry. The park’s scenic drive remains accessible, allowing you to take in the incredible views from the comfort of your car. Afterward, warm up with hot cocoa at the Bryce Canyon Lodge, which exudes cozy, rustic vibes.
Winter at Bryce Canyon isn’t just about snow—it’s about a slower pace, a deeper connection with nature, and a chance to see this already-stunning park in its most enchanting form. Snow blankets the hoodoos, wildlife leaves its delicate tracks in the powder, and the air is so crisp it almost hums.

Immersive fairytale experience
Visiting Hopscotch in San Antonio was really cool! It’s an immersive art experience, where you walk through different rooms filled with colorful, interactive installations. It’s kind of like stepping into a living art gallery, and there’s a playful, creative vibe that makes you feel like a kid again. I went with friends, and I’m really glad I had company. It’s more fun when you’re laughing and exploring together.
The rooms are all unique, so it feels like a mini adventure as you go from one to the next. My favorite part was the giant neon wall—you can literally step into it and be surrounded by glowing colors. It’s a great spot for fun photos and just getting lost in the art.
One thing to keep in mind: it’s not a huge place, so it’s easy to get through in an hour or two. But the experience is definitely memorable.

Secret hike close to Las Vegas
I had a great time hiking the Historic Railroad Trail in Nevada. The trail is pretty easy and flat, which made for a relaxing day. The best part was walking through the old railroad tunnels—there are five in total, and they’re cool to explore. The views of Lake Mead along the way were stunning, especially with the desert landscape around it.
One tip: bring water, because there’s not much shade. It can get hot, especially in the summer. I also loved how quiet and peaceful it was; I hardly saw anyone else.
Overall, it was a great way to combine history, nature, and some light exercise. Definitely worth checking out!

Epic view of Grand Canyon
I went to the South Rim of Grand Canyon, and it was amazing! The views were breathtaking, and the scale of it all really hits you. I was walking from one viewpoint to another, still could not believe that I was visiting this epic place, so happy!!!
The weather can change quickly, so I’d recommend dressing in layers. The crowds at the South Rim can get heavy, but if you get there early, it's much more peaceful. There’s so much to see, from the lookout points to the trails.
I loved every minute of my time there. The Grand Canyon truly is one of those places you have to see for yourself to fully understand how incredible it is. I’ll definitely go back!

Visiting Zion is like going to another world!
I had just half a day to explore Zion, but I still decided to go and I did one of the shorter hikes, and I’m so glad I did. The views were incredible—the huge red rock cliffs, the clear blue sky, and the fresh air all around made it feel like something out of a movie. Even with limited time, I could tell Zion is truly special.
There are a ton of hikes in Zion, ranging from easy strolls to more intense, multi-day treks. I barely scratched the surface, so I’m definitely planning to go back and see more next time. There's just so much to explore!
One thing I’d recommend is using the shuttle system if you're visiting during busy seasons. It’s a super easy way to get around the park, and it helps avoid the stress of parking.
Overall, even with just a half of a day, Zion left a lasting impression on me. The scenery, the feeling of being surrounded by nature—it’s something I’ll remember. I can’t wait to return and do some of the longer hikes next time!

The most scenic spot in Death Valley
Zabriskie Point it's probably the most iconic and awesome spot in the entire death valley. The views are truly stunning and fascinating. There is a convenient parking lot nearby the lookout.
A few hikes start here. If you're planning to hike here, then better come very early because by 10 AM the temperature even in winter is nearly unbearable.
But even just a simple visit of the viewpoint itself without any hard-core hiking is absolutely worth it. Seriously, that's probably the best you can see. I spent quite some time there and took lots and lots of pictures, this place is extremely photogenic.
#internationaltravel #nationalparks #usa
One of the best viewpoints of Death Valley
Dante's view is one of my favorite viewpoints in the Death Valley. It’s high up on a mountain where you can see the whole valley below. It is good to visit before or after Badwater Basin cause these two are pretty close to each other. The drive up is a bit curvy, but once you get there, the view is incredible.
The view is absolutely stunning. And during the winter, you can see some snow on the peaks at the horizon.
Tip: Go early or late in the day to avoid the heat and catch the best light.
One more tip: there is a little path that leads from the parking lot pretty far along the hilltop. It's really worth to walk for a few minutes before you choose the best spot - the more you walk the better the views become.

Mind blowing scenery of Joshua tree national Park
Joshua Tree is such a cool place. The landscape is stunning: the big rocks, the weird Joshua trees, and that wide-open desert.
The hikes were awesome, especially with the sun setting behind the rocks. It felt like I was on another planet. On the day when I went there, there were very few people.
Driving was a pleasure, most of the roads are dust roads, but they were well maintained. I had lots of water with me in the car and all the snacks I needed - there aren't many places to buy those.
One thing: definitely bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes.
One more tip: download maps to be able to use them offline, cellular connection isn't great there.

Easy way to see sequoias
There are many places where you can see Sequoias in California. Due to the weather and the fact that we had a 3yo kid with us, we went to Redwood national Park cause of its location and amenities. And it was a perfect choice for a day trip to see those majestic trees.
It is an easy drive. There is a convenient parking lot and most pathways are well maintained, so it was possible to cross and walk around even on a rainy day. There were quite a few parents with small kids - most broadwalks were wide enough for a stroller.
There is a cafe and a gift shoo at the park. But the waiting line to get some coffee was very long, so I would advise to bring snacks and beverages to save some time.

Valley of fire is a massive area with lots of short hikes. There are no stores or restaurants, so make sure you're bringing all the water and snacks you might need with you. Best walking route in Austin
For those who enjoy long walks, a walk along Colorado river in city of Austin is an absolute must. This city hike was my absolute favorite amongst all the sightseeing I did in this town.
There are many entry/exit points, and it is possible to walk just one short section, or turn this hike into a long walk that will take many hours to complete. There a few bridges to cross from one side of the river to another, the ultimate way to cross would be Mansfield dam.
There are a lot to see on the river banks. Local flora, lots of birds and even turtles. Many cute houses along the way with paddle boards and kayaks stashed on their front yards.
The hike is peaceful and very serene.
Tip: it gets pretty hot during summertime, so it's better to have sunscreen and a hat, and surely plenty of water.

One of the most scenic drives in California
17 mile Drive probably is the most beautiful coastal Drive in California. I totally enjoyed the drive on a stormy rainy day. The scenery was fantastic, the ocean was wild and powerful. Most of the time we were in the car driving, hopping in and out to various lookouts and taking short walks.
There are facilities like toilets at parking lots along the drive. But there aren't any places to buy snacks, so better to bring snacks and water.
The power of nature is stunning and this drive is an absolute must while in Cali. Additional bonus to all the stunning landscapes was a colony of seals chilling and swimming in the rocks, those guys are super cute!

There aren't that many people, specially when it's cold so make sure you know what are you doing.
The hike is relevantly easy and will feed to anyone in moderately good shape. You will need good shoes, and better take hiking poles.
