Some hikers especially Catholic Religion do hiking into this mountain during Holy Week seasons to do some solemn reflection and at the same time to celebrate together the passion, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is one of the largest night market in Yilan and located right in the heart of the township. Yilan is a popular stop over for people who is travelling especially to Hualian from Taipei vv. It is a nice quiet town in the day, and when the sunsets you will see the night lights poppin up. Ludong night market opens on a daily basis and opens in the late afternoon till midnight. If you do drive, you need not worry as there are loads of parking vicinity around the area. But do look out for them, they can be on the streets if not in nearby schools or shopping malls.

Our day tour stopped over Yi Lan Train Station and we love the vibe here. The traffic light crossing to Yi Lan Jimmy Park has animation and music 🎶 🎼 accompanying you when you cross the street. Yi Lan Jimmy Park has different sculptures which you can take photos with. Interesting place to visit and fun to take photos with friends. There are many eating places around this area too. #yilan

It is strongly recommended to get a rental car if you travelling around the east coast of Taiwan. Kind reminder for Malaysian driver, we need to apply international driving license at closest JPJ office before departure in order to get a rental car in Taiwan. Wild walk in Taiwan (Rainy Season)

One of the crazier moments where my parents didn't want to take cab and decided to try walking to #shangri-la Hotel in #Yilan Taiwan because their tourism board was giving free vouchers at that time to use. I relied on Google map and we took public bus to a bus stop that's 30mins walk away from the hotel. It was drizzling and the path to the hotel had minimal street lights. We were walking on roads, there were no pavements. We walked pass farms, rice fields and people home. At the 10 mins mark, we saw the bright glowing hotel. And in we went to eat this buffet that cost us only $30 after using the vouchers #taiwan #walk

Tickets for the healing Yinong Ranch are NT150 per person Tickets include feed and grass for small animals and goat milk redeemable for 60 yuan❗️❗️❗️ The previous tickets were extremely cheap, only NT30, but they have been increased to NT150 since 2023❗️ As a digression, I couldn't help but think of the popular custom when I was a child that every household ordered goat milk❗️ Thinking about goat milk brings back childhood memories. I really don’t drink goat milk often now, but when I did, I felt it tasted particularly delicious☺️ There are pure goat milk and strawberry goat milk. If you want to drink more from other drinks, you can make up the difference~ You can get close to the little animals all day here😆🥰🥰 Except in the park there are ⬇️ The super hungry sheep bleated🐑 directly ate my coat🤣🤣🤣 There is such a magical photo. Hidden gem in Yilan - cafe

Sem Nome Celeiro 無名糧倉 Prices were a little high for the area but worth it for the ambience and food quality. Oolong milk tea was rich and creamy, matcha latte came in a big portion and was not too bitter. The cafe’s location may be a little out of the way, but possible to book an Uber. If you’re coming from around the area the walk to the cafe was calming too, nearby houses have paddy fields.#yilan

Kavalan whisky distillery!

Taiwan has a rising reputation for its whiskeys in recent years, and it was an interesting visit to the Kavalan Distillery. You can take a quick gander to see how the whiskey is produced, including the various wooden casks. Small bottles of whisky are available (good choice for souvrnirs xd) All in all, it was a fun visit, and you can buy a few tipple souvenirs for friends and family back home. #Kavalan #whisky #yilan #Taiwan

The animals are free to touch and they will give you feeds as well. there are also other animals like kangaroos, ducks that roams around freely around the farm. makes for a great 1 hour visit. it is at Yilan. the farm is Zhang mei ah ma farm. there are also small pony and deers as well which they will give you a bottle of milk to feed.

One of the best hideouts in Taiwan - Black House, Yilan

We were very fortunate to be able to book Black House as our hostel when travelling in Yilan, Taiwan. The scenery was marvellous. Staff in there were superb. They also upgraded us to their most luxurious room as well. None to say, their breakfast and coffee were one of the best in town.
