#citydaytours Taroko National Park is one of Taiwan's top scenic attractions. Located in Hualien county, so you will need to take train about 3 hours away from Taipei City. You could either stay a night in Hualien or get there directly after train ride. And then you will need to take bus which will take about 1 hour trip to its first stop Taroko Terrace Trail. The moment you just step in the first stop, you will be blown away by its magnificent and natural beauty! Taroko is magical! I highly recommend you to go to Shakadang Trail because you will see its beauty as it has a river with crystal clear water. Stunning view! It actually has some grade of trail which you can just follow the bus used for Taroko route only. If you need reference for the grade of trail, you may visit the government official site. As I have not much time there, I didn't finish the trip to the very top destination because i think that was the last bus stop. So I just enjoy the view of clear water, fresh air and stunning view of temple with a cup of coffee in my hand. #exploreasia Chisingtan or Qixingtan beach is located at the northeast of Hualien City overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The beach itself is huge and filled with pebbles. The pebbles are of various sizes and have unique marbling or colour to it. You would find stacked rocks along the shore and it was indeed a unique sight. I visited in the morning and boy the sun was scorching hot! It would definitely be great to visit late autumn or beginning of winter when temperature is a bit lower. #exploreasia Shakadang trail or also know as Mysterious Valley Trail is one of the trails located in Taroko National Park. It is a trail by the river cliff but it is not too difficult. I personally did not manage to finish the trail due to the lack of time. The view was stunning. From the entrance of the trail, you get to see the Shakadang river leading down to the Liwu River. We were lucky to see the jade green waters at the Shakadang trail as we went after typhoon which caused most the main streams to have murky waters. We also rented a car and the driver is nice and knows how to speak English. It was a long ride but the beauty of nature is worth it. This place is relaxing and indeed a great comfort. Taroko National Park located in Hualien, east of Taiwan is the best national park in Taiwan for me. It's very convenient to visit a park from Taipei since there are trains daily. I bought one-day trip of the shuttle bus which cost 250 ntd and once I got off the bus, I needed to wait for an hour for another bus to come. Stops I recommended are Shakadang, Yanzikou and Jiuqudong. Also, I recommend you visit the park on weekdays since there might be less visitors. #tarokonationalpark #nationalpark #hualien

🚌 Getting There - From Hualien Bus Station, theres’s a bus every 1 hour going to few destinations in Taroko. I took Bus 310 and stopped at Tian Xiang Village then go down stopped in a few destinations (we can use Bus 302 if we waited too long) but getting back to Hualien Station, we have to use Bus 310. Please aware this bus is very full when we got back from Taroko to Hualien. 🎡 Attractions - A few attractions we visited is Tian Xiang Village, ChangChun Shrine, Tunnel of Nine Turns, Buluowan Terrace, and Yanzikou Trail. 🏨 Hotels - Im not quite sure where to stay in Taroko but i heard there’s a hotel called Silks Place Taroko and its quite expensive but luxurious since its a 5 stars hotel. But im staying in Hualien city in a new built hotel named Full Kind Hotel or 福康大飯店. My hotel doesnt have any nice views such as beach side etc but the room is very nice, high ceilings, modern, affordable, and breakfast was okay so furthermore 8/10 would recommend. 📍Some tips : • From Hualien Train Station, you can go to Hualien Bus Station and asked the Visitor Center if there’s a free shuttle bus (event from July to August if im not wrong). 🍔 Food & Restaurants - Near 福康大飯店 there’s Dongdamen Night Market only around 7 mins walk. We eat some seafood there but i guess the taste is very mid and nothing special. 🛍 Shopping - Try to shop some local delicacies in Hualien and the most known one is their mochi. I bought mine in Tzen’s Mochi since there’s so many branch of them so i thought ill tried their mochi but it turns out the mochi is super good. I choosed to bought a peanut mochi 花生since its the og. 🚃 From Taipei - Hualien (ill make its easy to read) Taipei Main Station - go to TRA - buy the ticket at ticket machine - choose date & time - choose the trains - depart from the TRA gate - ready to goo 📍Some tips • im using Tze-chiang limited. express 3000 bcs the train is new and i love the interior (speed goes around 100 - 130 km/ h). • if youre lost on Taipei Main Station just look for the sign TRA. • if youre confused from which gate you will board, check it on the monitor or ask the gate person (they can speak english). • i prefer having a reserved seat TRA ticket : NT$440 #summervacation #nationalpark #travel #hualien #taiwan #taroko #urbanexplorer #awesomepic

#wecreate This suspension bridge is located at Buluowan Terrace and is called Buluowan Suspension Bridge 布洛灣吊橋(山月吊橋). It is one of the MUST VISIT attraction if you are in Hualien and visiting Taroko! It will be a short walk about 5-10 minutes to reach the suspension bridge depending on how fast you walk from the entrance of Buluowan Terrace. We recommend to have a stroll on the bridge as you will see the amazing scenic views of the mountains and canyons! You will experience strong wind blowing over when walking across the bridge. Do climb up to the observation deck (布洛灣吊橋觀景台) to have a better view of the scenery and the bridge. MUST take note that this attraction closes quite early at 4pm! Qingshui Cliff (清水断崖）is an extremely popular tourist spot in Hualien that offers gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic mountains! In order to catch the turquoise- blue (2 different colour of the ocean), you’ll need to check on the weather. According to our private tour driver, he said that it has to be sunny to have such scenic view and that is why he dropped us off at Qingshui Cliff as our first stop at about 10am so we wouldn’t miss such a breathtaking view! You will be able to spot train tracks and trains driving past it as well. All in all, Qingshui cliff feels like a paradise and you will really need to visit it in person to experience how beautiful and magnificent the nature is! You will require to pay an entrance fee per pax, cars are not allowed up here so you are required to park downstairs and do a short steep hike up to this place. Upon entering, you will be greeted with an amazing view of the Pacific ocean, unblocked view while enjoying your cup of coffee or dessert. These are exchangeable with the amount you paid for the entrance. There are also many photogenic spots here, some even resembles London or Italy too! Do walk around the park and explore, also the entire area is free sitting if you want to just have a good tea while soaking in the surrounding views.

One of the most incredible recycle architecture! The Starbucks cargo container store was designed by the famous Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma💕 Getting there: 🚗 The one and only Starbucks container store, located at New Paradiso Mall in Hualien. You can take bus 301 from Hualien Bus Stop, and ride around seventeen stops. Get off at New Paradiso Bus Stop. You can also take taxi around Hualien. Attraction: 🍽️ The store was really crowded, but the ambience was super good. You will need around 30-40minutes to order and found a seat. We order our favorite Chocolate Chip Frappuccino and Creeps cake. Definitely tasty as usual! Farglory Ocean Park is a theme park that combines marine theme natural landscape park with five-star leisure hotel✨ The theme park has eight different theme area, including aquarium and other attractions! Getting there: 🚗 You can take Bus from Hualien TRA Station or Taxi. I prefer to take Taxi because the waiting time for bus pretty long. Driving your own vehicles also an option. Attractions: 🐬 Overall, there are a lot of things you can do in Farglory Ocean Park. I really recommend the aquarium. They have a lot of healthy fishes that actively swimming around~ I do really enjoy the dolphin and seal show. You can also enjoy their food and playing in the theme park! The place was not that big, but enough to take many instagramable photos~ People usually spend 2-3hours too take photos.  🚗 Getting There: I think the best way to go there is with Taxi or motorcycle. It’s pretty hard to wait for the bus. ✨Attractions: They have a lot spaces to take foto, featuring crystal balls, tent, cabins, with ocean views. 💵 Price: around 80ntd/weekends and 70ntd/weekends you can buy the ticket there or from KKDay. #2023travelwish #taiwan #hualien Creative spaces have always intrigued me so I was eager to pop by the multi-storey Starbucks in Hualien, constructed from 29 recycled shipping containers by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Inspired by coffee trees, the pearly-white containers were staggered across four levels and set at 90-degree angles, an ingenious referencing of the plant foliage, as well as traditional Chinese bucket arches used in temples and historic palaces 😍 Even if I don’t stay for the coffee, I would undoubtedly remain for the store’s impressive facade. My travel wish for 2023 would be to continue exploring foreign lands & revisit familiar boundaries to gain different invaluable insights!

From Taipei Main Station, get a train ticket for a cost about TWD250 to Xincheng Taroko Station. Travelling journey time within two cities is about 2.5 hours. Taroko National Park is a stunning mountain national park with nature marble formation. It is accessible for all kind of tourists, included handicap and elderly. Love the nature. It is strongly recommended to get a rental car if you travelling around the east coast of Taiwan. Kind reminder for Malaysian driver, we need to apply international driving license at closest JPJ office before departure in order to get a rental car in Taiwan. Even though I don’t usually stay in hostels as I don’t prefer to share toilets, this one was not too bad. We got the room with double decker beds and our own private toilet. It was clean too, very important. But I liked the common lounge spaces most as it looked super hip and trendy. There was even a guitar there for guests to have a hand at it. We hired a guide to drive us from our hotel to the hiking location and he was very familiar with the terrain. He brought us through some caves and along the mountain side that faced towards the sea, what a breathtaking view! Would recommend not to have young kids with you though as there can be falling rocks overhead. The Eastern coast of Taiwan is by far the most beautiful area to explore when travelling there. Taroko Gorge is located north of Hualien city and is a breathtaking area to see. The best way to experience the gorge is definitely on scooter where you have the freedom to stop whenever you need to take a picture 📸 Nestled among the high peaks are colourful bridges, pagodas and a temple which provide great juxtaposition with the scenery ⛰️🏯 If you have enough time be sure to explore the coast a few kilometres north of Taroko Gorge where the cliffs tower above the sea.
