Wonderful
We were just across the Esplanade, where you can enjoy a nice walk by the water when we came across Guayala. It wasnt planned but the place kind of looked nice. Took a glimpse at the menu, the prices were doable so decided to give it a shot. The food was quite nice. Both the mushrooms on toast and avocado's toast were perfectly done. We shared a waffle with a scoop of ice cream that was delightful. All in all this unexpected spot turned out to be quite nice and we stayed back for a while having some of their drinks. It can get busy during certain hours. I liked the atmosphere of the place too. If you are arojnd the esplanade, this might be worth a try.

Very good spot for brekkie
After a couple of trial and error runs and flops at some highly rated places. We came back to the first place we had brunch and it was more than satisfactory. Price wise too they do a great job. Had coffee here twice, be trying milk alternatives. Doesn't always taste as good as with milk but the oatmilk flat white is decent.
Depensing upon your taste preferencd, you might find the food here to be anywhere from okay to superb. Pancakes are huge and filling. They look like Jsoufflé pancakes, those fluffy ones but are much drier. The filling of the week was banana and chocolate came on top of and sandwiched between the pancakes. Hit the spot! The cafe fills up by 9am, so try to come earlier if you want a seat. The first time we stopped by, we needed to take away coffee and there was some wait for that too. Means it pretty popular.

perfect for brekkie
This is a very good place to get breakfast or brunch. I ate here 5 days in a row. Being put up at the Hotel nearby and this being a more sensibly priced place, I am glad to have chosen it everytime. It's a nice little Cafe on Spence Street in the heart of Cairns. Open for breakfast and lunch. I love that you get to have anything on the menu at anytime and not just specific hours. The quality of their food was very good. The portions mostly huge and filling. Especially theirtheir big breakfast which was not onlt delicious but kept me going till the evening.
Very friendly staff and very good coffee. Most importantly, they do a good cup as well.

Innovative
I have been a regular at caffiend ever since I first tried their coffee. Price wise too i think they are quite good. The brunch and some of the breakfast options are brilliant. What I love about caffiend is their Japanese or Korean touch added to dishes. Their avocado toast or even the truffle mushroom toast is simply stunning. I haven't had any better in cairns. The staff is friendly and while it can get crowded during certain hours but I have always found a seta without having to wait. I would highly recommend eating here and trying their coffee.

best brekkie spot in cairns
Muddy's is a very well known and popular spot in cairns for its lovely food and great prices. If you are new, you'd get a lot of people recommend you this place. It's setting is near the Broadway with an ocean view. It's got some tables under shade and then some outdoors. Good selection of food, drinks, smoothies, and ice cream.
Vegan and vegetarian options too. Certain days even have certain offers on food items. We were able to first try it for breakfast. The raisin toast and smashes avocado with eggs and feta was spectacular. Plus the morning view and ambience of the waterfront makes things even more memorable.

Love Cairns
The Cairns Lagoon is a popular swimming facility located along the Cairns Esplanade in the Central Business District. This 4800 square metre saltwater swimming lagoon offers an all-year-round, safe, swimming location without stingers and crocodiles.
Whether it's a swim in the Lagoon, a workout at one of our green gyms, or a casual game of beach volleyball, there's plenty of facilities along the Esplanade to enjoy.
The Esplanade also includes 2.5km of pedestrian and shared paths, with markers each 500m, for a picturesque stroll, jog or run.

Gorgeous well-equipped apartment near Cairns
When we were looking for accommodation in Cairns as a family of four, we wanted somewhere nice and clean with reasonable price. Valle Vista became a natural choice with its proximity to the airport as well as Cairns City.
Situated in the quiet suburb of Redlynch, Valle Vista was only a 15min drive to town and 9min stroll to the nearest shopping centre on foot.
The owners did an outstanding job in making guests feel comfortable about the apartment. You can tell a lot of thoughts have been put in from the apartment design to equipments available. We chose the Cannonball theme which was located on the 2/F of the building which was accessible by lift.#queensland #cairns #australia
We were welcomed by a bottle of prosecco, fresh fruits and nice breakfast items as a special offer for a week’s stay. It was really thoughtful that a bottle of milk was also available in the fridge.
The apartment was well equipped with tasteful appliances and amenities, you can easily make this your home. Nespresso machine, rice cookers, dish washer… adding great convenience for meal preparation when you don’t want to dine out.
The pool is really cute though we did not really swim in it, but it would be the perfect place to chill or have a drink in the afternoon.
We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend if you are staying in Cairns!
Magic moments at Cairns’ Esplanade Lagoon
One of the key highlights of our trip to Cairns was swimming at the Esplanade Lagoon. Located in the heart of Cairns’s City next to the waterfront, the Esplanade Lagoon is open to public and free!
Simply enjoy the amazing view while strolling along the boardwalk, enjoy a picnic at the lawn next to it or even better take a dip in the water for an enjoyable swim. The view was stunning during the sunset and you would be amazed at the transition of colours during the magic hour!
Along the edge of the lagoon, there is a sand area for children to play. The lagoon also has a shallow end with little fountains along the way, as well as 1.55m progressive depth for keen swimmers.
After the swim, you can easily take a shower at the toilet and change area which provides warm water. It was clean and comfortable! Then you would be ready for dinner at a nearby waterfront restaurant. Be sure to book the restaurant in advance as popular ones are fully booked quickly and do not take walk-in guests.
A must-do while visiting cairns!

Jewelled sea - natural wonder downunder
It has always been one of my bucket lists to visit the Great Barrier Reef and it certainly did not disappoint! The weather was perfect on our sailing day with cerulean blue sky and light breeze.
We booked a cruise tour which included two reef locations- Saxon Reef and Hasting Reef. It was one of the most amazing experience ever! The two sites were quite different in terms of their marine landscapes and great for different activities. The Saxon Reef was relatively greater in depth and would be a perfect location for a dive, whereas Hasting Reef has spectacular coral reef at proximity even when snorkelling. We saw a huge local fish called ‘Wally’ (Maori Wrasse) and many other marine life! Would love to visit another reef next time!
Tips: even if the sea was calm, highly recommend to take sea sickness prevention pills in advance.

cairns adventure
I was in Cairns for 5 days and it was a packed few days. I’m very happy with what we still managed to do in the short time we had. I would highly recommend going to Green Island they also have a great opportunity for sea walks where they put a helmet on your head and can walk on the ocean floor. we also went to the sky rail and village in krunda and had the most break taking views. there is also a night market in cairns city with lovely food of all cuisines and all sorts of different market stalls

Should you visit Cairns, Australia?🇦🇺
📍Cairns, Australia
Our very first stop in Australia - Cairns. Upon arrival I was hit with a big culture shock - everywhere looks familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. The city, and perhaps Australia in general, feels like a merge between America and Britain.
I didn’t anticipate how much I’d be walking in Australia, but the streets are so clean and so accessible, we ended up walking everywhere - especially the promenade / Cairns esplanade (which is such a beautiful walk).
I also couldn’t resist checking out Cairns’ markets - Rusty’s market was fab & so was the night market. There are also so many Vietnamese and Thai food & coffee places that are great to try.
Honestly, as a big fat foodie, my favourite thing so far has been just walking up and down the supermarket isles, looking at all the crazy snacks that Aussie’s have! I’ve made it my mission to try a new snack every day, so stay tuned if you’re into that kinda thing 🍪🍦🍫

Cool down im the Creek after a hike at Barron Gorge NP
Amazing trip to Cairns topped off with a hike and swim in Barron Gorge NP.
the hike was very warm and humid but even more worthwhile when plunging into the refreshing waterfall afterwards.
It is such a beautiful natural landscape to enjoy.

we are locals in Cairns Queensland but we regularly go to the Cairns aquarium. The kids learn about marine life regularly, this is one of our favourite spots it is a little tunnel where you can observe Turtles and fish swimming all around you it is super fun and makes for a great picture. #tripblazers#familytravel#awesomepic#cairnsaquarium#cairns#farnorthqueensland#fnq#underthesea#familyfun

Australia’s untouched gems FNQ Ellis Beach
BEAUTIFUL FNQ #cairns #australia #fnq
located only 20 mins drive north of Cairns.
Ellis Beach is situated in the Djabugay (Tjapukai) traditional Aboriginal country. [3] The Cairns Historical Society's records show that it was named after Dick Ellis, who at the time resided at this beach. He was a shot firer for the Queensland Department of Main Roads – presumably at the time the Cook Highway was constructed in the early 1930s. He lost a hand and the Queensland Government constructed a house for him at the beach now known as Ellis Beach on the spot where the café now stands. This was about 1940 and Dick Ellis died in 1960.
Before World War II the area was unnamed (in English) and had no houses. It was only during the war years that it became known as Ellis Beach and this fits with all other records. There are a number of mango trees at Ellis Beach, which it is believed were tended by Mr Ellis. After the construction of the Cook Highway through the area the authorities decided to plant many varieties of trees along each side of the roadway. This was done where the terrain permitted. Mangoes were particularly suitable for this purpose and many of the original trees survive along with other flowering trees. Those along the stretch of road at Ellis Beach would no doubt owe their existence to Dick Ellis. In other areas drought and fire have taken their toll but some still exist.
Copperload Dam/Lake Morris
Wow, what an amazing place to spend half a day, Copper-load Dam is simply stunning. Beautiful scenery and so many nooks and crannies to explore. The pictures don't do it justice, I really enjoyed simply immersing myself in the absolute peace and tranquility.

Because th
Because the shores of Cairns are surrounded by crocodiles, there’s no beach for tourists to visit that’s close to the city. Luckily, they’ve set up this huge outdoor public pool near the ocean that can be visited for free. It’s the perfect way to relax for a day before heading out to see the Great Barrier Reef. There are also tons of shops, restaurants and bars nearby to visit once you’ve finished your day at the pool. For visitors, there are lockers to keep your valuables safe and changing rooms. #wintergetaway #australia #cairns #queensland

If you’ve
If you’ve always wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef up close, then you’ve got to visit Cairns! Situated along the northeast coast of Queensland in Australia, Cairns is a major spot for adventurers seeking to discover the beauty of the majestic reefs. Book a snorkeling tour, or if you’re feeling adventurous, book a live aboard scuba diving tour, where you’ll stay overnight on a ship while you explore the area’s biodiverse marine life - and go on a night dive (if you dare!) Wake up early enough for the chance to swim with sea turtles. Who knows, you might even find Nemo! #wintergetaway
