It’s a nice enough bar with friendly staff, most of whom are happy to help in English, as well as in Italian. It’s not as expensive as it could have been, which is a plus, but the menu is not that impressive.The actual design is also not universally great, either. I personally did not find it too impressive, feeling kind of ‘cheap’ to me, especially the patterned wallpaper, although the wood column bases looked great. We ordered two lunches which included salad, dessert and cold/hot Japanese sencha (sugar free). The salad is fresh and crispy, and the portion is moderate. First up is the sea urchin (sea urchin/toro/crab meat/sashimi/salmon caviar) sushi TACO with Japanese cold udon $248. This sushi TACO is very creative! Used with crispy seaweed to serve fresh seaweed, tonga, crabmeat, sashimi and salmon roe, each seafood is fresh and delicious. Also cold udon, and hot spring eggs mixed together. Another was grilled white squid steak with sashimi with rice $298. Fried white squid steak, the fish is tender and the barbecue sauce is rich. The fried sashimi is quite big, and the overall combination is special. Finally, the dessert was red bean matcha fern cake, which was sweet. The sencha is fragrant and refreshing. I have had both lunch and dinner at infinity on several occasions. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming with the best views of Sydney. The wines were excellent. The staff were fantastic. The view was just priceless even with the rain. Excellent presentation too. You can see the whole city throughout your dining. All the staff were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming and added to the amazing atmosphere of the restaurant. The fact the restaurant spins around throughout the night as you get to see all over the city blew our mind and is something not to be taken for granted. The food was all explosions of flavour. The views of the night lights is magical. The restaurant slowly spins so the view is ever changing. It's walkable from the train station and the restrooms were excellent. The vibe and service was friendly and attentive. A good selection of wine. The icing on the top was the food. If you are a foodie or into fine dining or want to discover what fine dining is then you won't be disappointed. The combination of flavours was heavenly and very rich. The food was reasonably priced considering its high quality and presentation. There was a fantastic selection of wines that would suit all budgets. After work on Friday night, I went to this charming French bistro in Sheung Wan, Chakan Street, for dinner. Although it's a bit far from the subway station, the unique decor and great atmosphere make up for it. We started with a glass of red wine and some bread. The Niçoise Onion Anchovy Olive Tartine, although called a tartine, is actually a crispy baked bread. The sweet onions combined with the salty anchovies make a perfect match. Japanese Shimeji Mushroom Tart This dish was outstanding. The tart crust was flaky and crispy, topped with a generous amount of mushrooms. Underneath the mushrooms were finely chopped mushroom bits, providing two different textures. It was incredibly fragrant, and the creamy special sauce drizzled on top made it irresistible. Chicory Salad The presentation resembled a blooming flower, very beautiful! Inside were cherry tomatoes, walnuts, cheese, and chicory. The chicory had a slight bitterness, but when paired with the sweetness of the fragrant pear, it was very refreshing overall. French Pan-Seared Whole Sole The presentation wasn't very appealing because the sole looked a bit intimidating! The waiter deboned the fish after we took a photo and then served it. The fish was tender, juicy, and very fragrant. If you love fish, you must try this. The creamy spinach was tender and green, and the large potatoes were filling. It was a creative main course combination! Apricot Tart with Pistachio Sorbet The apricots were sweet and fragrant, and the pistachio ice cream was rich. The highlight was the tart crust, which was flaky and crispy, very well done. This small bistro truly embodies the French style. Every dish is beautifully presented and surprisingly delicious. Rouen filled the spot perfectly. With under 2 hours of a comfortable train ride. It ensured there was plenty of time that remains for exploration on a weekend trip. The city has several heritage and architectural marvels to visit. Particularly boasting several impressive churches and cathedrals. The half timbered houses and the cobbled streets give it such a medieval feel. The notre dame of Rouen is amongst the most famous of structures, whose cast iron spires not only make it the tallest cathedral in France but are visible from any corner of the city. More famously it was also part of Calude monet's work who did several representations of this cathedral. It doesn't stop there, the same cathedral is also the resting place of Richard the Lionheart. But that is just the cathedral, this fine city offers a plethora of other sightseeing options in the form of museum of fine arts, St Catherine hill, botanical garden, Le gros horlog, church of st. Book in bar is a small, quiet cafe, very suitable for studying or working. It was my own big mistake not to know about Book in bar sooner and write a review for everyone so that everyone could have a new place to hide for themselves.
