After about four months of ESL teaching in Jiange before I realized that such a beautiful and monumental place exist. Jianmen Pass is a mountain pass located southwest of the city of Guangyuan in Sichuan province. It's located in Jiange County which is a few distance from my apartment. It's famous for the beauty of its steep slopes and it's strategic importance in ancient times. As the traditional Chinese saying goes, "If one man guards the pass, ten thousand are unable to get through".
