My Laoshan mountain trip. Part 1.
Laoshan Mountain is a scenic area in the vicinity of Qingdao. This is a very beautiful landscape park, it is a park that you will not be able to get around in one day. I visited two different areas of the mountain and I liked them both. It's not difficult to get there, you can get there by metro, get on the line 4 and go to the terminal station Dahedong 大河东. Opposite the metro you'll see a bus station from which buses depart to the mountain, where you also can buy tickets. From this station , buses depart to two locations:taiqing 太清/jufeng 巨峰.
On my first visit, I chose Taiqing area 太清. The road goes along the beautiful coast of the sea. On the way, the bus makes several stops. The first stop is an observation deck with the beach view. Here, if desired, you can start your trip on foot to the upper station of the cable car. The next stop is near the Taiqing Temple, it is located next to the seashore. The temple is notable for the fact that the tallest statue of Lao Tzu in the world was built here. An important addition: tickets to the temple and to the cable car must be purchased separately. Then you need to take a bus that will take you to the lower station of the cable car. During your visit, you have several options, go up and down the cable car, go up and down on foot, which seems to me more suitable for hiking enthusiasts, or the option I chose, go up the cable car, and go down on foot. The way isn't too difficult, but I would recommend to wear comfortable shoes. Along the way, you can climb to the Ming xia cave , I must admit that it's not very exciting location and it is difficult to climb there, but there is a small observation deck with a beautiful mountain view. On the way down you will meet the Shangqing Temple 上清宫 , small terraces where locals grow laoshan tea. Next stop is a place that is definitely worth your attention, a water reservoir and Longtan waterfalls 龙潭. It's a nice place, the water there gives off greenery, super beautiful. And that's it. You will need to go down to the first bus stop, from where the bus will take you to the final station. The whole tour cost me around 200 rmb: 120rmb for the entrance ticket, 40rmb for one-way cable car ticket and 30rmb for the temple ticket.
