A Shanghai Surprise: A City of Contrasts
#chinatrip
Shanghai, a city where the ancient and the modern coexist in perfect harmony. During my recent trip, I was captivated by the city's stunning skyline, rich history, and vibrant culture.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Bund, a historic waterfront area with stunning colonial-era buildings. As I strolled along the promenade, I couldn't help but be amazed by the breathtaking views of the Pudong district, with its towering skyscrapers.
Another must-visit destination is the Yu Garden, a beautiful classical Chinese garden. The intricate landscaping, serene ponds, and traditional architecture transported me back in time. I also explored the bustling Yuyuan Bazaar, where I indulged in delicious street food and shopped for unique souvenirs.
For a glimpse into Shanghai's modern side, I headed to the Oriental Pearl Tower. The panoramic views from the observation deck were simply stunning. I could see the entire city, from the bustling streets to the serene Huangpu River.
In the evening, I enjoyed a traditional Chinese dinner at a local restaurant. The delicious food, combined with the warm hospitality, made for a truly memorable experience.
Shanghai is a city that never ceases to amaze. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or a shopaholic, there's something for everyone.

Finding Tranquility: A Serene Escape at KLCC Park in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur
#parksandgardens #100waysoftravel #Kualalumpur #klcc #klccpark #green #citytour
My visit to KLCC Park was a pleasant surprise, as it turned out to be a peaceful and beautiful oasis amidst the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.
Despite being located right next to the iconic Petronas Towers, the park was remarkably quiet, offering a serene escape from the urban hustle. I noticed many locals jogging along the well-maintained paths, making it a popular spot for fitness enthusiasts
. I particularly enjoyed sitting under the shade of a large tree, watching the stunning fountain in the center of the park. The gentle sound of the water and the cool breeze made it a perfect moment of relaxation, allowing me to fully appreciate the tranquility of this green space.
An iconic spot in Lille
I am so impressed by the architecture during my trip to France. Be it the cathedrals or squares or even older buildings that have turned into something. Like in the case of La Vielle Bourse. What a beautiful building. A perfect example of gorgeous Flemish architecture. And if that wasn't a reason enough, what a fine vibe around this place!
It's fascinating to see people with an interest in books. The area around has got plenty of coffee shops, retail outlets and a lively atmosphere. There is a market inside the building which i explored. It sells old books and vintage records. Very picturesque spot.
I'm told it was even the stock exchange back in the days and so it has a symbolic importance to the history of Lille. There were people playing chess, friendly locals who spoke to me and told me so much about Lille. I even got invited for a meal. Such a place cannot be missed. Plus it's all free! I don't see any reason why you won't stop by here if you're in Lille.

Carcassonne City Day Tour
#citydaytours
Carcassone is a wonderful medieval city that makes for a nice trip from Toulouse. There are people that also stay here overnight to be able to experience the Carcassonne castle's light show. However, Toulouse is far more comfortable for staying with wider options. So, I did a day tour of Carcassonne. I had the option of taking a bus tour, the benefit being that then all my transport would be sorted. But i preferred taking my time and so visited the city on my own. In terms of travelling by train. It is recommended that you get an intercity or a tgv. It will cost you just under 10 euros and it'd be a 45 minute ride. If you have a similar day trip plan. Perhaps taking cues from my day trip would help. Here is what it looked like :-
1) Castle and Ramparts : The most obvious thing to do in Carcassonne was to tour the castle and the ramparts in the medieval city. This is the upper part of the city. I recommend getting an audio guide. It will improve the castle experience and understanding to a great extent.
2) Canal Du Midi : Next we follow this up with a walk along the canal du midi. The same canal that passes by Toulouse, passes by Carcassonne as well. It is one of my favourite activities in Toulouse. Also here, you have the opportunity to take a boat tour. Which will orient you with the different sceneries as the canal is pretty long and covers a good deal of the city.
3) Local Lunch : While it is the lunch hour, grabbing a bit would help recharge. I tried a lunch set at a local restaurant. Like with most of France, the food experience in Carcassonne too was delightful.
4) Old City : After lunch it is time to explore the old city. You’ll want to visit Saint Nazaire Basilica, a pretty church from both the in and outside, as well as the Dame Carcas bust on the outside of the city walls. And inside there is also a museum and shops to explore.
5) New city : As the evening approaches, now we will explore the new part of the city. This is more local and you will find less tourists. Here you can see the Andre chenier square, Saint Michel cathedral, St Vincent church and the Calvary Garden. By this time you will have seen plenty of satisfying sights and you should head back to the station for the train to Toulouse.

City tour Split 🇭🇷
#summerdestinations
I recently enjoyed a fantastic city tour in Split, Croatia, and it was a highlight of my summer vacation! The tour started with a visit to Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The entrance fee was around €15, and it was well worth it to explore this ancient Roman complex, with its stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere.
The tour also included a stroll through the bustling Riva promenade, where I enjoyed local cuisine at one of the many seaside cafes. We visited the historic Cathedral of Saint Domnius, and the nearby Marjan Hill offered breathtaking views of the city and the Adriatic Sea.
Split’s blend of rich history, lively streets, and scenic views made for an unforgettable experience. 🌅🏛️ #trip #Split #CityTour #DiocletiansPalace #CroatianHistory #AdriaticViews
DUBAI day tour ❤️
#citydaytours
During my summer vacation, I took a city day tour in Dubai, and it was an unforgettable experience that truly captured the essence of this incredible city! Dubai is a place where tradition meets futuristic innovation, and seeing it all in one day was both exciting and eye-opening.
Our tour started at the iconic **Burj Khalifa**, the world’s tallest building. The entrance fee for the observation deck on the 124th floor was around 149 AED (roughly $40), and it was worth every dirham. The views of the city skyline and the Arabian Gulf are absolutely breathtaking. After soaking in the panoramic views, we made our way to the **Dubai Mall**, which is not just a shopping destination but an attraction in itself with its massive aquarium, indoor ice rink, and countless luxury stores.
Next, we visited the historic **Al Fahidi District** to get a taste of old Dubai. Walking through the narrow lanes of this heritage area, with its traditional wind towers and quaint courtyards, was like stepping back in time. We also took a short abra (water taxi) ride across Dubai Creek, which only cost 1 AED, and explored the vibrant spice and gold souks. The colors, scents, and the lively hustle of the market were so different from the modern side of Dubai—an experience not to be missed!
In the afternoon, we drove along **Sheikh Zayed Road**, marveling at the futuristic architecture, before heading to **Jumeirah Beach**. The white sandy beach with the stunning backdrop of the **Burj Al Arab** was the perfect place to relax for a bit.
The day wrapped up with a visit to **Dubai Marina** and the **Palm Jumeirah**, where we enjoyed a leisurely stroll and admired the incredible man-made island. Nearby, the Atlantis Hotel is also worth a visit, especially if you’re into luxury hotels or aquariums.
Dubai is a city of contrasts—modern yet steeped in tradition, and exploring it in one day gave me a deep appreciation for its unique character. Whether you’re into skyscrapers, shopping, or history, Dubai has something for everyone.

Among the old historical mosques
The city community in particular has recognized the Kuala Lumpur Jamek Mosque which is located on Jalan Tun Perak in addition to its position between the Gombak River and the Klang River and makes it the most strategic position for the public to focus on.
The architecture of the mosque made it a landmark that later developed as the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. The Kuala Lumpur Jamek Mosque was the main place for Friday prayers and the center of Islamic activities until the construction of the National Mosque in 1967.

Under Neon Nights: A Manhattan Foot Tour
On a brisk evening, I took to the streets of Manhattan for a night-time exploration, the city's bright lights guiding my path.
My tour commenced outside the iconic Grand Central Terminal. As I stood beneath the star-studded ceiling, I was awestruck by the sheer magnificence of the early 20th-century architectural masterpiece. The beautiful Beaux-Arts style building, adorned with sculptures of an American eagle and Roman deities, gleamed under the city lights, adding to the charm of the night.
Just a short walk away, the majestic One Vanderbilt building pierced the night sky. The towering skyscraper, glittering like a constellation, stood tall as the fourth tallest building in New York City. The building was an architectural marvel, its reflective walls and glass-mirrored floors creating an illusion of infinity. Its ethereal glow added to the vibrancy of the night, making it a sight to behold.
My journey continued to the electric buzz of Times Square, the heart of Manhattan. Amidst the multitude of vibrant billboards and the pulsating energy of the crowd, the city truly came to life.
The next stop was the illustrious Radio City Music Hall. Standing outside the Art Deco masterpiece, I admired the radiant neon lights that adorned the façade, adding to the city's ever-glowing panorama.
Finally, I found myself gazing upwards at The Shed and the other skyscrapers in the vicinity. The architectural wonders, towering high above, were a testament to the city's ever-evolving skyline.
This night-time stroll through Manhattan offered a unique perspective of the city, its landmarks stunningly illuminated under the cover of darkness. It was a night to remember, a testament to the allure of the city that never sleeps.

Rittenhouse Square: Philly's Urban Oasis
Rittenhouse Square, a gem in Philadelphia's heart, invites visitors to embrace its urban charm, and an unexpected giant frog. This whimsical stone carving, known as "Frog," is the work of Cornelia Van Auken Chapin, a celebrated 20th-century sculptor known for her animal-themed creations. Unveiled in 1941, it has since become a beloved feature of the park, greeting visitors with its frozen joy.
The day further unfurled with a spontaneous open-air concert, courtesy of a busker strumming heartwarming melodies that wove magic into the cool winter air. The park resonated with his tunes, embracing music as a vital part of its vibrant aura.
In a delightful spectacle, squirrels enjoyed a feast at a picnic table, a thoughtful arrangement by an anonymous benefactor. Their joyous dining added a dash of warmth to the crisp day, personifying the park's endearing spirit.
With its historical art, enchanting music, and unexpected wildlife encounters, Rittenhouse Square stands as a testament to Philadelphia's vibrant urban life.

#london #citytour #boroughmarket
Vladivostok is a city in the Russian Far East. It gets really cold in winter so I recommend to plan your trip to Vladivostok from May till September.
✈️ Getting There - Vladivostok is located near Japan, China and Korea so pretty much the only way to get there is by plane. Vladivostok has an airport express train that will take you straight to Vladivostok’s city center, another perk is that the train passes by great sceneries.
🎠 Attractions - My favorite place to visit in Vladivostok is the aquarium on the Russian island, it has a lot of interesting fish and animals in there and the area outside the aquarium is just wonderful, it is right by the seaside.
Another great place to visit is the Tokarevski Lighthouse. When the tide is low, the shallow path appears which you can use to walk to the lighthouse.
You can walk along the seaside and the riverside, rent a longboard or a bicycle 🚲 at Naberezhnaya Tsesarevicha.
You can visit Vladivostok’s surf camp and learn surfing or just rent a standup paddle.
You can visit Russian theater and absorb local culture.
🥞 Food & Restaurants - Russian food is amazing, there are a lot of great restaurants with good service. Don’t forget it is in the culture to tip the waiter 15-20% in Russia.
Start with having Russian pancakes for breakfast, they are called Blini, they are often served with condensed milk or they are stuffed with cottage cheese, potatoes, meat, cabbage.
The next dish to try is Sirniki, it’s some sort of pancakes made of cottage cheese often served with sour cream.
There are a lot of dinner dishes in Russia, it would take me dozens of pages to name them all, just prepare your stomach to eat a lot in Russia because it’s just so good 😍😍😍
Enjoy your trip to Russia and don’t freeze if you decide to go in Winter ❄️

Togi the Travel addict 113 Zhan garden: Royal gift to Xuda
There’s a popular site in Nanjing that requires your attention when you visit the city. The Zhanyuan garden, or Zhan garden, originates from Ming dynasty, when the emperor gave it to his minister Xuda as royal gift. This garden is one of the most famous gardens in China, recognized as scenic spot of national importance.
This garden complex includes over 20 garden spots, and holds the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom history museum (east side), as Zhanyuan became the residence of Taiping rebellion leaders when Nanjing was established as the capital of China.
My favorite area of Zhanyuan was by the the west side, walking around the pavilions, admiring the rockeries and water pools. The general ambience of the site provides a peaceful and refreshing trip. One not ceases to wonder how this complex could retain so much of its original layout despite the conflictive times it endured.
Opening hours: 8am to 9pm. Night performances are very popular, which increases entrance fee from 30 to 70 RMB.

Dubai 7days Tour
#100WaysOfTravel
During my summer vacation, I took a week trip to Dubai and it was an unforgettable experience that truly captured the essence of this incredible city!
My tour started just sightseeing the city around business bay and Downtown Dubai . I later ended up in the mall of the Emirates , and I did some shopping as there are variety of things at the mall .
The next day I went to Safari desert to experience the camel riding and the bike through the desert .
Riding a camel isn't the most comfortable experience, but there's something magical about swaying through the desert on the back of one of these gentle creatures. The silence of the desert was only broken by the sound of the wind and the occasional grunt from the Camels .
During the rest of the days I visited the Yatch club, the beach in palm Jumeirah and also went for Kart driving . All in all my experience was very good and hoping to go back to Dubai soon when the hot weather calms down

Tokyo: A Timeless Journey Through Japan’s Heartbeat
Imagine stepping into a city where ancient temples stand proudly amidst towering skyscrapers, where every corner pulses with energy yet offers moments of serene reflection. Welcome to Tokyo—a city that enchants, surprises, and leaves you craving more with every step. Over the course of six unforgettable days, I journeyed through this vibrant metropolis, uncovering its hidden gems and iconic landmarks. If you’re planning your own Tokyo adventure, let my experience be your guide.
From the moment I arrived, Tokyo embraced me with its electric charm. Shibuya, the heart of the city, was my first taste of Tokyo’s boundless energy. Standing at the famous Shibuya Crossing, I felt like a tiny drop in a sea of humanity—a thrilling sensation that set the tone for the days ahead. But beyond the rush, I found quiet moments of beauty in places like the Hachiko Statue, a poignant reminder of loyalty and love amidst the bustling crowd.
The next day, I ventured into the soul of old Tokyo, Asakusa. Here, the majestic Senso-ji Temple rose before me, a beacon of tradition that has withstood the test of time. As I wandered through Nakamise Street, the aroma of freshly made senbei and the vivid colors of handcrafted souvenirs filled the air, transporting me to a different era. And just when I thought I had seen it all, Akihabara swept me into its whirlwind of neon lights, anime, and technology—a stark contrast to the peaceful morning I had spent among ancient shrines.
But the highlight of my Tokyo experience was a day spent in the magical world of Tokyo DisneySea. No words can fully capture the wonder of this unique park, where every detail is crafted to perfection. From the Italian charm of Mediterranean Harbor to the mysterious allure of Mysterious Island, every corner held a new adventure. Time seemed to blur as I reveled in thrilling rides and mesmerizing shows, each one more enchanting than the last.
When it came time to dine, I knew I had to visit Gonpachi—the restaurant that inspired scenes in *Kill Bill*. As I stepped inside, I was immediately struck by its ambiance, a perfect blend of traditional and modern aesthetics. The yakitori was divine, each skewer cooked to perfection, and the evening passed in a blur of laughter, great food, and unforgettable memories.
Odaiba, a futuristic paradise, was my playground on day five. From the towering Gundam statue that made me feel like I’d stepped into a sci-fi movie, to the mind-bending digital art at TeamLab Planets, Odaiba captured my imagination like no other place. As the sun set over Tokyo Bay, I took a quiet moment to reflect on my journey so far, the city’s lights twinkling on the water like a thousand tiny stars.

A journey through the Vietnam's history
#wheretogo
#citytour
The Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, played a pivotal role in the Vietnam War. It's where significant events, including the Fall of Saigon in 1975, unfolded, marking the end of the war and the reunification of North and South Vietnam.
Exploring the interior of the palace reveals meticulously preserved rooms and chambers, each with a unique purpose. The grand reception hall, the presidential office, and the war room offer insight into the daily operations of the government during that era.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the visit is the preserved basement, which houses a labyrinth of communication rooms and tunnels. These were used for strategic planning and coordination during the war.
The well-maintained museum within the palace complex provides additional context through photographs, artifacts, and exhibits. It's a valuable resource for learning about Vietnam's path to independence and reunification.
In summary, visiting Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City is a thought-provoking and historically rich experience. It's a testament to Vietnam's resilience and determination to chart its own destiny.
