This hotel is quite accessible via the underground trains as it is just a brief walk. It is also connected to a number of malls, like the Marina Square shopping mall or Millenia Walk. However, it is unlikely that you will need to head out of the hotel for food as not only does the lounge provide multiple meals a day, there are also 3 other restaurants on level 1 to choose from, including a bakery for any breakfast items or sweet treats. Of course, it is subjected to availability but do let the lounge concierge know so that they can check if you can utilize it. Address - Grand Park City Hall Hotel, 10 Coleman Street, Singapore 179809 The club lounge here at Grand Park City Hall Hotel is one of the more unique ones we’ve come across as it not only has an indoor section, it also has an outdoor section that is shaped like a elegant and cool dome-shaped bird cage! The breeze here was wonderful and it didn’t feel that warm even though there was direct sunlight. With 5 meal presentations a day, there is no need for you to leave the hotel for any meal as it is pretty much a full-board lounge stay. Shortly after we were done checking into the hotel, we were ushered to the privacy of the executive club lounge to relish the afternoon tea spread there. All the dainty pastries were arranged and displayed in such a lovely manner that made them look all the more tantalising. They not only looked great but tasted great as well! My husband and I were glad that we bought the room that came with club lounge access so do remember to check for that if you’d like to check it out too. This might not be a widely known fact but within the club lounge at Swissotel The Stamford, there is actually another even more exclusive lounge area specifically for guests staying in Suite levels and above. This area is located all the way in towards the end of the already massive lounge space and boasts the best sunset views on the horizon. There is also a table tennis table and set you can use on a first-come-first-serve basis. Truly the ultimate level of luxury. It covers quite a big space with different sections and various furnishings. The staff was nice to share where the spots with the best views are. I have been to the Hyatt Regency TST Club Lounge twice and the experience was quite extreme, I guess the quality depends on the day of visit and whether the club floor booking is full or not. Hospitality could be terrible when the lounge is full because they have under-staff problem and weak management. Forget my first terrible experience. My second experience was good after 3 weeks of my first visit; so it is worthy to give this hotel and club floor a second chance. There are dishes like steak and eggs, toast and caviar-topped soft-boiled eggs, as well as yoghurt brands that aren’t the common ones. However, the one thing that was a little frustrating was that all guests are only entitled to two mains each, meaning it isn’t free-flow. Afternoon tea offering is quite a disappointment with only 4-5 small bites and few whole fruits. There’s the usual cold and hot beverage. Expressed my disappointment which they apologised and promised to do better. Come evening, we were greeted with a surprise. They noted my casual remark that I’m a vegetarian and they specially prepared a vegetarian lasagna hot from the oven and vegetarian steamed Chinese buns in addition to the meatless options in the counter. Highly commendable. Mentioned that I won’t be staying too long as I would be going back to my room to watch NDP. They offered to change the tv channel in the lounge which I decline as our room offers a direct view of the fireworks live. So instead we brought cold beverage/beer and whole fruits back to the room to enjoy. 😄 Appreciate the GEM (Go-Extra-Mile) service. Come next morning for breakfast is another surprise. Noted that there are 2 requests for vegetarian options and we are 1 of them, the chef prepared a few more meatless options for us. So touched with the gesture. Had an enjoyable and leisurely breakfast followed by WFH from the lounge. Now I appreciate the power socket underneath my chair. Thomas especially will come to check on me regularly and offer to change the hot drink when it turned cold. Such attentive service is a good example of service excellence. It’s a shame that we couldn’t stay for lunch as we need to rush home for another meeting after checking-out. There is no egg benedic specially prepared at the tablescape while chef Judy at Crystal Club lounge will offer and help you with it! The menu is pretty much similar, just that in club lounge they will give you personal service and hidden menu. If you have the benefit, why not heading here instead? Address - Hotel JEN Orchardgateway, 277 Orchard Road, Singapore 238858 During our staycation here at Hotel JEN Orchardgateway, the original club lounge on level 19 was closed due to staffing issues in the covid situation, but we were thankfully still able to enjoy club lounge privileges at a dedicated space on level 10! The ambience was lush and relaxing, with many sofas and plush seating to choose from. Staff here were also delightful and helpful. However, the evening canapés and cocktails were a sore letdown. We didn’t expect them to be served in a bento box with a limited selection of mainly fried food. The drinks menu was quite basic too.
