When you go to Old Town and walk down the streets you will see a lot of shops. On the square there was a market where you can buy a lot of handmade goodies. #100WaysOfTravel Verona is a lovely, romantic city that in a way resembles Rome. While you walk down the streets you will find yourself immersed in so much history with beautiful architecture. One of the highlights is to see Juliet's balcony from Romeo and Juliet. Another one is the Arena. Or the bridge from the photos called Ponte Scaligero. The views next to the bridge and along the bridge are one of a kind. Morialta Conservation Park Hiking Trail This hike has probably one of the best views in Adelaide and it is actually not that hard and it probably takes around 1.5/2 hours to complete. A good thing about this hike it has different difficulty trails that you can choose from which is nice. 🥾 It is not that busy on the weekends or weekdays which is nice and on the walks you can see kangaroos 🦘 and koalas 🐨 Overall very recommend trail to take during the morning. Often missed by most visitors who head straight to the summit, Birg is actually the starting point for hikes and the centre of the skiing area for all levels. If you are a thrill seeker like me, you definitely should not miss the Skyline Walk and Thrill Walk in Birg. The Skyline Walk starts from the sun terrace at Birg. Walk further out and you will be at the observation deck which is an extension of the terrace constructed from steel and reinforced glass with a grated floor. It is a great vantage point to enjoy the alpine scenery. Those who are physically fit and not afraid of heights can head to the entrance to the Thrill Walk which is at the other side of Skyline Walk. The Thrill Walk involves climbing stairs which lead down into the perpendicular walls of the imposing rock massif. The 200-m walk also features a crawl-through tunnel, glass-bottomed floor and tightrope walking. Discovery Bay is not only a quiet and sleepy community. It also has great hiking trails, some of which aren't difficult and are paved. A good suggestion is to walk up to the reservoir from the plaza. It's along sidewalks the whole way so it isn't difficult or strenuous. Along the way, you'll find greenery and relaxing waterways. It also isn't too busy so you can walk in relative peace. If you want a sprinkle of the magic dust of Disney without the steep ticket price and the crowds, come and have a walk around Inspiration Lake. While obviously the lake is developed as a part of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, the landscape is thoughtfully designed to build a genuine nature trail by the lake. Around the lake, which in summer maybe adorned by boats (ride tickets can be purchased from the 7-11 store at entrance), have an easy and peaceful walk amid all kinds of trees and plants. My girl picked up seeds and pods from different trees so we stopped frequently, our walk round the lake takes about an hour. Green flats and slopes are everywhere for picnickers, and there are even exercises facilities scattered around for the active ones, so this can be the place for a half day or even whole day out. Take public transport if you can - parking here is very limited and expensive. The botanical garden here is very different from the other botanical Gardens you see world wide where there are gorgeous colourful flowers located all around you, but George Bush botanical garden focus more towards plants, trees and uniquely shaped roots. Alam Damai Recreation Park is located at Alam Damai Kuala Lumpur, it’s a neighbour park with trees and a small lake. Excellent place for jogging and walking, there’s a kids playground in the middle of the park. You can also bring some food and drinks to picnic in the park, there’s no entrance fee needed. Toilet is available at the entrance with no cost, very clean. Parking is free too. Apart from all the hiking trials in nature, there ks an area in the North of singapore located in the vicinity of seletar west where there are cafes and also view of the airplane strip runway. Yes! You got that right, an airplane strip runway. As seletar was once an airfield, this place was developed to make it an industrial area mixed together with cafes and a park. Wheeler estates has several cafes there which opens for brunch on weekends and opens later in the afternoon on weekdays. But you will be able to see many locals here doing their jogs, cycling and walks and stopping by via the fence to take a glimpse of the airplanes and runways at seletar west. Do you know that in the Western tip of Singapore there is an underrated attraction called the little guilin Park which is located nearest to the bukit gombak MRT? Little Guilin is located at Bukit Batok East Ave 5 and I don't recall any parking near by unless you park via the block estates nearby. This place is a granite rock formation located in a residential area with a easy small hike located around it with beautiful scenic lake views which is only about a 3/4km walk, pretty short! If you dare to try not planning anything for your trip, it can be quite fun just wandering around and look at every detail you can find in the local environment. I did that in Lisbon - not checking out any famous or recommended tourist spots, just walking out of my hotel and following the road ahead without any purpose, and I still enjoyed myself a lot by looking at the above buildings. September has the ideal weather for adventuring in Portugal- the temperature is pleasant, the day is long and the sky is blue, so no matter what picture you take, it has a beautiful background especially when the buildings are colourful. If you are into the nature and plants, it’s not a bad idea to spend half day working in the local village of Nam Sang Wai in Yuen Long. The entrance is within walkable distance from Yuen Long west rail station. Along the way you can see the traditional houses of old Hong Kong, and appreciate the many fruit trees along the way. There is also a lotus pond where you can see many lotus flowers when it is in the right season. If you prefer a short walk, you can make a small round trip in 30 minutes. If you are adventurous and want to explore further, you can walk for 4-5 hours as well. Mind you, inside the village there are quite many fierce dogs who try to guard their families’ houses with loud bark. They can look scary but as long as you don’t make eye contact with them and walk slowly, showing no intention to harm anyone, they will be fine after a while.
