You get what you pay for, which is not much. Upon arriving, there is no sign that says 'Luyao Inn'. The sign is in Chinese characters. We were dragging our suitcases up and down the alley when the host finally came out. The room was on the second floor (4 flight of stairs) and there are no elevators. We had 4 suitcases and we did not receive help getting those up. The room was small, as indicated in the description. You get two bottles of water, toothbrushes and shower gel, shampoo and a small roll of toilet paper. None of those were replaced. We ran out of water and toilet paper and had to get our own. The host was barely around for us to ask. In any case, those are things that are usually replenished on a daily basis, without needing to ask. There is a kettle. No slippers. The shower and the toilet are in the same unit, therefore everything gets wet when you shower. You get shower slippers that have been used by others and do not look the best. The wall paper is also coming off the walls. The curtain was broken. The bedding had a weird sweat smell. The host was polite but does not speak English. You can communicate with them on wechat. The location is convenient, very close to the cableway station to Tianmen mountain. On our way out, there was someone else working, he helped us with our suitcases. To conclude, one can make do with the the space but do not go in with a lot of expectations (especially if you are used to Chinese hotels that give great service and hospitality).

My flight to ZJJ got cancelled and I had to stay for a night near to the train station. Booked last minute and was thankful that the staff upgraded our room for us. We had a restful night. Room was well kept and there is laundry service downstairs. The staff were highly responsive, kind and helpful. Other than the noise level and crowd even at late night… this hotel will be perfect if you need a location near the train station. 🤩💕

Excellent service by the front office staff who was extremely helpful, friendly, professional and polite - Miss Xiao Ting gave an fabulous overview of the Zhangjiajie National Park and tour strategy to maximize our time time. She helped us to make the relevant bookings and even arranged a courier service (for just RMB20 per piece)to move our luggages to another hotel (closer to Tianmen area) when we checked out. Hotel / room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Location is just a few mins walk to the East gate of the National Park

The hotel has an elegant environment and a superior location. It is located next to a small river. Across the river is the East Gate of Zhangjiajie, which can be reached in ten minutes on foot. There are also restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel staff are very warm and polite, the room is clean and odorless, the decoration is luxurious, and the breakfast is quite rich. Overall, I feel satisfied.

I paid $191 NZD for 3 nights, pretty good deal! Clean, smart room, looks new, mostly quiet, could hear the hallway noises and some traffic noises (from the 15th floor) but not the next door room noises. Smoking was allowed outside I think, but was not an issue/the room did not stink of cigarettes even though there was an ashtray inside. Staff don’t speak English but with a bit of my Chinese I could communicate with them for the free trip from the West railway station to the hotel (15min car ride away). The bus station was about 10mins walk to catch the 1hr bus to the ZJJ National park, while the Tianmen mountain cable car was maybe 20mins walk away. Some nice restaurants and mini supermarkets nearby too. Would recommend.

Nice of hotel to upgrade my stay to a new room. Spacious new room. Changsha is very hot in Sept and caught a fever. Hotel allows me to extend until 2.50pm. Buffet is mainly Chinese style - with bread/buns and toaster. To reach hotel from subway underground maze, head for Exit7 (all stairs), walk 150m as the hotel entrance is on the side road. Main shopping street for ladies 黄金街underground is 10mins walk- must bargain! Go to the large 茶颜悦色 on 2nd floor of 7mall (a mall block besides hotel) for food tasting before buying food souvenirs home.

We had a memorable stay in this river-side hotel - Very unique set up & decorated.  Felt very secured with permit entrance. Managing staff was very friendly & helpful in providing us with information of the area - places of attractions, food & transport.  Not forgetting the complimentary daily fruit & sweet basket. It was an added advantage to guests of the hotel for the free shuttle service to & from the high speed train station.  Worry-free. The upper floor verandah is another added advantage for us to view the river, waterfall & lightings.  At the same time to enjoy our chinese tea brewing with the provided chinese tea set at the verandah. Laundry is provided free by the staff & we can put them to dry at the open space on the verandah. It was convenient for us to walk to the open air & in-door performances. Managing Staff, Miss Liew sent us off to the free shuttle transport at the entrance with free bottles of water & oranges for our journey. Really missed this beautiful & gorgeous place.

Before stepping into the main lobby, you'll be greeted by the aroma of a mild floral tea scent (imagine the contrast after being infused in stale cigarettes environment outside) . High standard in everything from cleanliness to customer service. I got a free upgrade to a suite with bathtub. Ramada has great TV programmes and washing machines/dryer too. I didn't opt for the breakfast hence no review on that. The service delivered by Front desk receptionist 吴宇芹 is exceptional and I'm glad I chose this hotel and gave up the other one.

New hotel with good staff We chose to stay at this hotel because it is a new hotel and very near to Tianmen Mountain CableWay station, just 10 minutes by walk. The front office staff, a young guy at day shift and the others at night shift (sorry we did not know your name), these 2 staff are very helpful. The male at the dayshift gives us directions on how to get to the station and the male at night shift helps us change rooms because the first room is smoke-smelt, we can not stand with that, to the other clean room. There is a lot of local food surrounding, also minimarket and shops. The room was spacious with a nice view of cable cars up and down from/to station. Although the hotel is at the busy street, but the soundproof quality is good. We can sleep tight without any disturbing noise. The breakfast menu is also well proper with variant cuisine.

This place is great. The girls at the front desk were nice and always in touch. They spoke English to me when I checked in, which is rare 🫶 I only stayed here for three nights, but if I had the time I would have stayed longer. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was so nice that they upgraded me to a bigger room with a great view of the river. If I ever find myself in this city again, I will definitely stay here. Это место великолепно. Они говорили со мной по-английски, когда я регистрировался, что бывает редко 🫶 Я останавливался здесь всего на три ночи, но если бы у меня было время, я бы остался подольше. Quite like the room design and features based on different lifestyle themes at different locations around the world. The sunset river view was awesome. But I wouldn't expect the mold around the washbasin and I would also expect the afternoon tea could be far more better than few pieces of fruit and frozen cakes.

The location is right on Wuyi Square. Just go down to the street we can find so many street food stores and shopping areas. The Wuyi Square metro station is in front of the building. It’s very easy to go to anywhere. The staff have a very good service mind.

Pleasant stay in hotel. Room was nice and cosy, and location of the hotel is just beside the railway station! Very convenient for us, who is taking a train to another part of China. Hotel also allowed us to check out at 3pm, which make things more convenient for us. Counter staff (小陈 and 丽丽）were also very helpful in accomodating to our requests. Highly recommended. 👍

When you come to Changsha, you must check in at Tyndall Hotel. This is an aesthetic palace in the sky. The black tone of the lobby is full of atmosphere, It is great for taking photos. You can freeze the fashion when walking or resting at will. The guest rooms are on the 53+ floors, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, The sky, river view and buildings are perfectly integrated, It is full of the prosperous scenery of the Star City, as if you are in a fairyland in the clouds. There are also thoughtful Changsha specialty snacks to accompany you, Taste while watching the projection, lazy and comfortable. There is exquisite afternoon tea before 16:00, Gym, yoga room, laundry room are all available. Breakfast 7:30-12:00, the special stinky tofu is super good. The service is super considerate, and the appearance and quality coexist. There is also a super popular selfie photo studio downstairs of the hotel, ** operation, a variety of styles to choose from, A lot of free props are provided, it is simply too easy to take pictures. Located just beside 宝峰湖. Got discounted entrance tickets. Staffs were extremely helpful and patience with explanation of ticket, routes, discounts etc. We were extremely tired and lazy to go out for meals, staff help us order food delivery. This was extremely helpful for foreigners that do not have local no. we really appreciate. Hot food delivered to our rooms while we can enjoy the spacious room and comfortable bed. Free shuttle service to East gate makes visiting 张家界森林公园 even more convenient

We enjoyed our stay so much with another couple friends! The hotel provided free pick up service from high speed rail station so that was the first good impression . Room was spacious, beautiful decorated and clean. It is located at a perfect location (behind the Tianmenshan cable car station, restaurants, shops around) . The staff was super friendly , warmth and welcoming . Especially Ms Xiong 熊管家. We came back to stay for another night and arrived very early so she kept a look out for any empty room available so we could check in early .

Such a great hotel with personalised service provided by Miss Fong the hotel manager. She treated us like VIP guests. She provided services like free pick up from high speed railway station or airport, arranged park and attraction tickets at discounted prices, spent time to show us the best route to travel, and suggested the best restaurants in the local area. I don't think even a five star hotel can provide this level of excellence and service. This is the best stay we've had from the 9 cities we visited in China.Even a five star hotel cannot provide this type of personalised service.. Thank you so very much Miss Fong for looking after us. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and family.

Very good service in give National Forest guide direction For people who first time coming to Zhangjiajie like us, this hotel has very good service. They provide some staff that assist tourists to get a guide direction in Zhangjiajie National Forest route. This national forest park is very huge. The entrance ticket is available for 4 days visit. So you can imagine how big this area is. Therefore, if you do not have enough time, you need a brief information that helps us arrange the excellent routes so that we can get the point of view and enjoy it. That is the purpose of this staff, to help us, bravo! Thanks to Huan Huan, female staff, your instruction is awesome. The hotel room is spacious enough, but lacks of wardrobe. Breakfast is amazing with many varian cuisine. There is a free laundry service that is very helpful for long tourists like us. The kind thing is this hotel put drinking water (bottles) everywhere. It is very pleasant, so hotel guests do not worry about drinking anymore. One more satisfying thing is the drain shower. The water pressure is strong but soft. Getting our body washed with a treatment like this after a tiring journey is very enjoyable.

Near cableway station to Tianmenshan. This ‘hotel’ occupies level 10 of a building in which there are other ‘hotels’ operating the other floors. After comparing several of them in this same building with same views, this was the best one. It’s a cosy room and the receptionist was very kind when checking us in. Everything was fuss free as we only stayed one night. One suggestion would be to put an additional light source in the toilet, as it’s quite dark.

The hotel is the perfect choice if you want to spend some time in Fenghuang. The rooms are very clean and with a modern design. The rooms have a balcony with a table were you have the perfect view over the river. The breakfast is chinese and western style (buns, eggs, a lot of vegetables, fruits and cakes). The guy from the front desk (Tian) and the girl who was my housekeeper (Yan) were really nice and friendly and helped me with everything I need: carrying me luggage, getting a taxi and giving me any advice I asked about my staying.

Staff were very friendly. You can get recommendations from them on the best route to tour Fenghuang. We had big luggage with us (28”/30”& 32”). The accommodations do not have an elevator. The staff kindly carried all our luggage to our room when we checked in and down to level 1 when we checked out. Tip for travellers: if you are not expecting to do much shopping. Would be better to travel light.

Book your stay with Tusi Xuanfu when staying in Furong Ancient Town! We had such a wonderful stay and the view from their courtyard is amazing! You get to see the whole view of the beautiful ancient town! Check in and check out was prompt and smooth! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Prior to us arriving, they helped us arrange for a driver to come pick us up from the train station. They made our stay in furong so seamless and stress free. The staff also helped us arrange for a car service back to Zhangjiajie Hehua airport when we departed. I will be recommending Tusi Xuanfu to all my friends and family who are planning to visit Furong Ancient Town! 💕

What an absolutely incredible place to visit. The staff were amazing, they picked me up from the train station for free and purchased the town entrance tickets at a discounted price. The view from the balcony was fantastic both at day and night time. The staff also helped me book a taxi to my train when leaving and I had left some belongings behind and they ran them to me before the taxi arrived. 5 star service 5 star location. Would highly recommend this the service could not have been better!

Service was great, picking up from the railway station and dropping us there after checkout. I forgot to return the room card and they were friendly and attentive to pick it themselves at the railway station. Thanks

Pros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help. Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.

This Hotel Offers great waterfall views. I would say it has the best views in town! The room was small but comfortable and had a nice balcony to observe the beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful. A downside was that there was no tea/ coffee in the room.

I chose this hotel for its simple yet elegant interior design, and after checking in, I was even more impressed by the service. Xiao Xue at reception was incredibly helpful, responsive, and open to feedback, making my stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Feng Huang.

Our stay here was good. The girl at reception is very kind and always wants to help, and even gave us a lift to the train station when we left, but you need to ask in advance. The hotel is right next to the scenic area of Furong. Our balcony and room were beautiful- but our mosquito net was broken so the room got very damp. Also there was some mould on the curtain in the bathroom and the chair on the balcony. The breakfast was free and very nice, although the kitchen it is cooked in looks a bit unclean which put me off. There was free snacks but no free water which we have experienced everywhere else in China. It looks beautiful at night. I wish it was cleaner.
