We had the pleasure of staying at Mercure Chengdu Chunxi Taikoo Li for one night, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the seamless and efficient check-in process. The staff was exceptionally professional and welcoming, ensuring we felt at ease right away. One of the highlights of our stay was the thoughtful complimentary services offered by the hotel. We were delighted to enjoy a lovely afternoon tea, which added a touch of indulgence to our experience. Additionally, the complimentary fruit platter provided was a refreshing and much-appreciated gesture. The attention to detail in these small yet impactful offerings truly made us feel valued as guests. Our room exceeded our expectations in both comfort and size. The spacious layout provided plenty of room to relax, and it was immaculately clean and well-equipped with everything we could need for a comfortable stay. The design and decor were modern and inviting, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was another highlight of our stay. The variety of options available was impressive, catering to different tastes and preferences. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was the perfect way to start our day. The hotel’s location is absolutely fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu and look forward to returning in the future.

Super satisfactory accommodation. The environment is clean and tidy. The most important thing is that the staff are super super nice. Whether it is the front desk, the driver, the restaurant or the sanitation staff, the service and attitude are really perfect! ! Not only did they take us to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, but they also took pictures for us. The photos were super beautiful and not perfunctory. The front desk information was replied in time to help us solve the problem in time. Everyone was very enthusiastic to us. The breakfast was very diverse and tasted very good. The view from the room really needs no further explanation. The first sight when I woke up in the morning was a shocking view. I thought that because it was relatively remote, the facilities would be worrying, but it was unexpectedly complete! The room was warm and the hot water would not be hot and cold. The design was exactly the same as the photo! I can't praise it enough. It is definitely the most profound and satisfactory memory of our trip. Thank you again to all the staff of this accommodation🥰
Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu - MGallery

This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms. Some noteworthy details: - Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort. - The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include: (a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now! (b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room (c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C. (d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold. - Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them. - We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away. - We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2. - Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too. - We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests. Areas of improvement: - Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake. - The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper. - Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor). Thank you Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu! We had a great stay here. Will definitely be back!

Chengdu University of TCM/Kuanzhai Alley Nearby Area
It is only a five-minute walk from the west gate of Kuanzhai Alley. It is quiet in the bustling area and very convenient. At the beginning, the driver sent us to the main entrance. Because it was under renovation, we needed to walk to the narrow courtyard to check in. The concierge helped us take our two boxes in without any help. Free upgrade to the suite. In addition to the large room, there is a double bathtub in the bathroom. The children took a bath for two consecutive days and were very happy. There is also a sofa in the bathroom, which is very convenient. The facilities in the house have a sense of age, but they are well maintained, and the hygiene is also very detailed. It is completely safe to bring children. Xiao Chen at the front desk was considerate. In the morning, he saw that we did not go down to eat breakfast and kept asking us if we needed to pack. The service was very good. There are two shortcomings. The air conditioner is very hot and stuffy, but there is no way to adjust the temperature. We can only turn off the air conditioner and sleep with the window open. It is a bit noisy in the morning. Another point is that the basin and shower door are too old, which makes people feel a little dirty. Although it has been cleaned, it does not feel comfortable. It is very convenient to go out to Kuanzhai Alley and there are many choices for eating around, which is great!

Absolutely gorgeous villa style hotel with great service provided by Eve and her colleagues. Eve was responsive and checked in with us to ensure that we had all we needed for a stay. The housekeeping team was also prompt with our requests. Buggy can take a while to arrive during breakfast peak hours. You could tell that the room heater had been turned on hours pre-arrival to welcome its guests warmly. Room had a beautiful mountain view and the toilets were huge. Though we had some issues with opening and closing the sliding door at the toilet it, wasnt too big an issue. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting jiuzhaigou!

Chunxi Road Commercial Area
It’s centrally located, just a 10-minute walk from both IFS Mall and Xinnamen Bus Station. The staff was welcoming and even upgraded our room. They kindly allowed us a late check-out for free, despite normally charging for it. We also got cute panda headbands as a gift! There’s a convenience store right next to the hotel, and a shop selling fresh fruit nearby. It’s easy to catch a Didi, and the hotel offers luggage storage and ironing facilities. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its location, service, and thoughtful touches.
Emeishan Fanxing Mountain House (Huangwan Visitor Center)

I wish to do a fair review of my B&B stay at Emeishan. Service was spectacular. 1) The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off services from Emeishan Station (not to be confused with Emei Station), about 7-8 mins drive from the hotel. I communicated via WeChat which trains I would be on and let them know that my 1st train arrival was actually so that I could drop off my large suitcase at their place, before going backwards to Leshan for half a day, and then returning to Emeishan in the evening. Not only did they agree to send someone to the train station to pick-up, they agreed to pick up only my luggage without me needing to accompany. So I could add an additional hour to my Leshan trip. Then they came to the train station a 2nd time in the evening to pick me back to the hotel. 2) The hotel replies very very quickly on WeChat, as if monitoring it all the time. 3) The hotel could arrange ticket purchase of a show, Only Emeishan, at a price lower than what you find on the official website. 4) The hotel even left the suitcase in my room before my arrival. 5) When I told the hotel to skip preparing my breakfast as I was starting off at 7am the next day to go Emeishan (breakfast is 7.30am at the hotel), they offered to put some items into a plastic box for me to take along. 5-star service in terms of making arrangements! They gave me a really large room, and I never used the bathtub with the bath herbs, but am thankful for the upgrade. Loved it that they gave 1 gigantic bottle of water and 2 smaller ones, showing their care for pple intending to climb Emeishan. Please don't expect too much from what they call ”Afternoon Tea” included in your package. It is merely a small tray of dried/fresh fruit, so it wouldn't form a meal. But I would not be fair to readers of reviews if I didn't give a balanced review. a) The hardware is a bit tired. The wooden planks in the shower room are blackish, and there are water marks on the stone in the bathroom. b) The power sockets are not at good locations. They are at the lower parts of a wall at a random spot and nothing near the bedside. c) The lights in the room are not well-positioned. d) There was an empty bottle below the wardrobe area when I first entered the room, which was missed even on the 2nd day. e) As I'm not familiar with Emeishan, I also didn't know that 黄湾 area is not exactly the main activity area in Emeishan. That said, the hotel is a 5-7 min walk from the 黄湾 entrance/exit to Emeishan. I believe the Baoguo Temple entrance/exit would be more popular. There are several restaurants around the restaurant but the vast majority appear closed or are not occupied, so it doesn't feel very lively, whether day or night. All in all, I would still recommend this hotel as they are family owned and run. The whole family depends on your support. Support local small business and give them a chance.

Chengdu International Convention and Southwest Jiaotong University
I stayed in this hotel during my trip and was pleasantly surprised. It is a complex with a bar and restaurant downstairs, which is very suitable for couples to date. It has a great value for money and the service is very detailed. There are afternoon tea and supper when you check in, and red bean paste drinks when you check out in the morning, which is just right for filling your stomach if you get up late and don't have breakfast. The toilet is fully separated into dry and wet areas, and the room is small and exquisite, with a medieval style. I like it very much and will choose this place again next time I come to play!

The hostel and rooms are clean and well maintained, the AC is working well and there is complimentary water to refill your bottle. The biggest asset of the hotel is the English speaking staff, who is incredibly helpful, creates a warm and friendly atmosphere. Biggest shout out to Loura, who with her friendliness and smile made our stay there great!
