Kyrgyzstan’s Asman Airlines considers A320 to potentially serve Europe 🇰🇬 Recently launched state-run Kyrgyz airline, Asman Airlines, is looking to lease two Airbus A320 or A321 jets for flights to Europe. This was announced by the President of Kyrgyzstan during a meeting with the head of Region Europe in Airbus Johan Pelissier in Berlin on November 27. President Japarov hopes that opportunities for direct flights to Europe would open next year, as there are expectations in the Central Asian republic that Kyrgyz airlines may be removed from the EU Air Safety List. Over the past year, Kyrgyzstan authorities have worked toward this goal by trying to implement international aviation safety standardsand strengthening oversight of national airlines. Using the mid-haul aircraft, Asman Airlines plans to operate flights from Bishkek to Paris, Berlin, and London, according to the press office of the Kyrgyz president. The airline, owned by the state holding Manas International Airport, launched revenue operations in September with two De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft on domestic routes within Kyrgyzstan. Innovation in air cargo: transformation for business from World Trans Aero The growth of the air cargo market is accompanied by the rapid digitalization of various processes in the industry. Traditional methods of sourcing and booking charters are being supplemented by innovative IT platforms such as World Trans Aero. This online platform connects players in air cargo charter market, as well as fully automates the process of booking aircraft in whole or in part. It enables brokers and logistics companies to send requests to multiple carriers with a single click receiving real-time offers. Airlines and cargo operators can process requests quickly in real-time data exchange. The World Trans Aero platform also provides function to find an aircraft of opportunity using the Empty leg system. The platform’s developers designed its features to streamline daily operations, saving time and resources. World Trans Aero has attracted significant interest from some international market participants - industry experts - which confirms its appeal to professionals in the field. “The advantage of the platform is that it introduces airline names we might not have considered or helps us discover entirely new carriers. This is especially valuable in our dynamic market, where new airlines emerge and existing ones exit,” said the UK expert. “The platform would appeal to our company as it provides charter prices directly, as carriers often fail to respond to individual request,” added the US expert. “I assume, cargo airlines are likely eager to make their freight rates available online, so many will respond and sign-up,” explained his German colleague. New users are now actively joining World Trans Aero. Key brokers, cargo holders, and major cargo operators from CIS countries, Georgia, the UAE and others have already joined the platform. The creators of the platform are expanding it to the new regions, leading to a steady increase in users.

Uzbekistan’s My Freighter to obtain foreign Air Operator Certificates 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan's largest cargo airline, My Freighter, has initiated the process of obtaining Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) in Hungary and Saudi Arabia to globalize its route network, the airline’s founder and CEO, Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, announced at the Air Cargo Summit 2024 in Tashkent on November 27. The Hungarian AOC will enable to expand the airline's network to North and South Americas, as well as across Europe. Meanwhile, a subsidiary cargo airline in Saudi Arabia, which My Freighter is establishing in partnership with an unnamed “leading local carrier”, will serve routes in Africa and the Middle East. The parent airline will continue operating out of Uzbekistan, covering Central Asia, South Asia, and China. Currently, the Uzbek privately-run carrier serves 10 Chinese airports, Abdurakhmanov said. Its primary cargo consists of e-commerce goods, a result of direct partnerships with major Chinese marketplaces like Alibaba and Temu. My Freighter aims to expand its fleet to 20 cargo aircraft by 2026. Подписаться на @CentralAsiaPlusAero
