A new version of the FIFA Football Agent Regulations enetered into force on 1 January 2025. ➡️ Agent exam The only material amendment relates to the agent exam procedure -  the format, grequency and date of the exam shall be established by a FIFA Circular. There is no more reference to member associations as exam hosts and to the charge of an exam fee. ➡️ "The Suspended Rules" Interestingly, the new version of Regulations inculdes also the  "Suspended FFAR Rules". One could understand that FIFA has reinstated the suspended rules, however since there have not been any new developments in any of the pending court proceedings it is only reasonable to assume that this is not the case. #football #agent

FIFA has introduced an Interim Regulatory Framework for Article 17 RSTP in response to the ECJ ruling in the Diarra case. The interim framework will come into effect on 1 January 2025 and will apply to any pending cases before the FIFA Football Tribunal. 💶 Financial compensation for breach of contract by a player will follow the “positive interest” principle ➡️ the injured party is entitled to be placed in the position they would have been in had the breach not occurred. 📑 Burden of proof is reversed. A new club can only be jointly liable for compensation if the claiming club proves the new club induced the player to breach their contract. 🚨 new BAT arbitration rules 🚨 A new version of the BAT Arbitration Rules will enter into force on 1 January 2025. The main amendments concern the issues related to delivery of official notifications/communications and defining time limit for submissions and payments. ➡️ Delivery issues 🗞️ Any notification or communication from the BAT shall be deemed to be received by a party if it was sent to an email address provided by that party in the arbitration agreement or in writing during the arbitration – the arbitration clause is amended accordingly. ➡️ Time limit 🗞️ A time limit is met if the relevant submission or procedural act is received by the BAT before midnight (Swiss time) of the last day of the time limit.  🗞️ Any payment time limit is met if the payment is made within the time limit.
