Skype Therapy for recovering from chronic anxiety and depression
Skype Therapy with Dr. Peter Strong
Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist specializing in online mindfulness therapy. So a lot of people are looking for Skype therapy for anxiety and depression. Skype Therapy is a very effective and very convenient way of getting the help that you need to overcome your anxiety or depression. I offer a Skype Therapy, and have done so for over ten years now, in which I specifically teach mindfulness therapy for help with anxiety and depression and also addictions and many of the common psychological problems that cause emotional suffering.
So if you'd like to get started with Skype Therapy with me then simply e-mail me. Tell me more about yourself and what's happening for you emotionally and I'll be happy to explain to you how we can work on reducing the level of emotional suffering that you're experiencing by using the methods of mindfulness therapy.
I will teach you specifically how to apply mindfulness yourself for working with your emotions. This greatly increases the effectiveness of this approach. So we will work on your anxiety or depression during sessions using mindfulness but you will be able to continue that work between sessions. This means that you will see results much quicker than in conventional talk therapy.
We work at a very practical level really learning how to work with our thoughts and with our emotions more effectively. We have to learn how to break free from that habit of becoming overwhelmed by reactive thinking or becoming a prisoner of our learned emotional reactions.
Anxiety and Depression are best thought of as being habits. They are learned habits. We acquire these habits and then we become a prisoner of them. So mindfulness therapy is a way of learning how to break free from these habits and how to neutralize them.
So all habits thrive on unawareness, they operate unconsciously, and in mindfulness therapy we employ more consciousness. We learn how to bring conscious awareness to these habits and that's one of the first principles for breaking out of any kind of habit is to make them more conscious, to bring consciousness to them. And the way we do that is by actually learning to meditate on our anxiety or depression or other emotions. This is a way of bringing that consciousness to them that will eventually break the habit.
We learn to observe our reactive thoughts as well. Reactive thoughts effectively feeds anxiety and depression and when they are operating unconsciously they provide a continuous source of fuel. So we need to see these patterns of reactive thinking very clearly and we need to change our relationship to them so that they don't overwhelm us, they don't take away our choice, they don't control us.
So we meditate on our thoughts. This way we become the observer of those thoughts. Being the observer stops us becoming identified with the thoughts. So that process of reactive identification is the main problem. It Is the way that we simply become overwhelmed and identified with conditioned emotional reactions and thoughts. So we learn to break free from that by developing more consciousness. That is the first training in mindfulness therapy.
The second is learning to change the emotion itself, learning to heal that anxiety or depression. So healing is a very big part of mindfulness therapy. There are many aspects to the healing process but the most important is developing this conscious and caring relationship that is so much a part of mindfulness training with your emotions. We learn to develop compassion towards your anxiety or depression. We learn to develop compassion towards your emotional pain. This is an essential part of the healing process. The biggest problem for most people is that the anxiety or depression becomes isolated, they become disconnected from the emotional pain. And when that emotional pain is disconnected or abandoned or neglected then it cannot heal.
If you'd like to learn more about the mindfulness approach for healing anxiety and depression please contact me. This approach is very effective. People usually see quite big changes after the first few sessions with me.

Therapy for Anxiety and Depression via Skype Available Now!
Skype-based psychotherapy online
Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I offer online therapy over Skype. So, Skype Therapy is becoming quite popular these days as an alternative to conventional in-person sessions with a therapist. Skype therapy is more popular because it is more convenient and it's also much more comfortable for you since you don't have to leave home.
I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy as a way of helping you work with difficult emotions and habitual reactive thinking.
Most of our emotional suffering is a produce of habit. Anxiety is a product of habit; depression is primarily a product of habit, habitual reactive thinking.
So, the first way to break a habit is to develop more conscious awareness of the habit. The more aware we become, the less controlled we are by the habit itself. So, developing this conscious awareness is very much a part of Mindfulness Therapy. We learn to see our habits, the process that causes our anxiety or depression, or addictions or any other emotional problems that we may experience.
So, during the Skype therapy sessions I will teach you how to focus on developing more conscious awareness of your habits. So, that's the very first step - The more you see your habits, the more freedom you begin to discover, the more you can change those habits.
The second theme, if you like, in Mindfulness Therapy is to look at the emotions themselves and to look at the way that the emotions work. Now, what is most interesting in the mindfulness-based psychotherapy that I teach online, is that we understand that emotions have a structure, and this structure is primarily in the form of imagery. Its how you see the anxiety in the mind that creates that anxiety, creates that emotion.
This internal imagery is what really runs the whole show. Now, we are not usually aware of this imagery because we are not used to looking. Mindfulness Therapy is all about looking and investigating how your mind works. So, we want to discover this internal imagery, and when we discover it, then we can begin to change it. When you change that imagery you effectively change the emotion itself.
So, changing imagery is a very important part of Mindfulness Therapy and developing more conscious awareness of your habits is a very important part of breaking those habits.
If you are interested in Skype Therapy and you would like to schedule a session, please go to my website and email me. Tell me about yourself, about the emotional issues you are struggling with and I will be happy to tell you more about how Skype Therapy works, how to get started with therapy on Skype, and I will tell you more about Mindfulness Therapy as well.
So, it's very easy to get started, and the first Skype therapy session is a trial session, which means that there is no up-front payment. If you like the results of the session then you would make your payment, and payments are made online through PayPal in a secure way. But, I really want you to feel satisfied with your Skype therapy session, so there are no up-front payments.

Treat the cause of anxiety & depression
Traditional talk therapy can be useful, but often it does not look at the habitual psychological process that is the real cause of your emotional suffering.
The same can be said for medications - the drug may relieve symptoms for a while, but medications can not change the underlying psychological process that produces your emotional suffering.
The style of psychotherapy that I teach online is known as Mindfulness Therapy, which is extremely successful for managing chronic anxiety and for treating chronic depression and other emotional problems resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most people see quite dramatic improvements after the first couple of sessions of Skype Therapy.
Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I provide Skype Therapy. Many people like the choice of having psychological therapy online rather than going to a therapist's office to meet in-person because it offers greater convenience for you and also is much less intimidating.
I have found from experience that my online clients tend to make progress very much faster than those that I used to see in-person. I think this is because they feel more in charge of their growth process. The online therapy format is really designed to equip you with the effective tools for managing your anxiety or depression or for helping you recover from an addiction or managing OCD or recovering from emotional trauma, etc.
Basically, what really works is when you take charge or your recovery process rather than just going to someone for treatment.
Mindfulness Therapy, which is what I specialize in is extremely good at giving you very practical and effective tools for working on your anxiety or depression yourself. I will teach you these tools, I will teach you how to work with your emotions in a way that allows you to stop the habit of becoming overwhelmed by anxiety or depression or panic attacks, and start the process of recovery. Learning new emotional habits that allow the anxiety or depression to resolve itself.
In my opinion, anxiety and depression are emotional habits, and all habits can be changed once you develop a greater conscious awareness of those habits and how they work and what triggers those emotional reactions.
So, if you would like to learn more about Skype therapy and this approach to psychological therapy online then do please send me an email. Go to my website, learn more and then email me to schedule a Skype therapy session.
The approach that I teach is very practical, very focused and very effective. Most of my clients see quite dramatic improvements after just the first few sessions. So I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to working with you and helping you overcome your emotional habits. Thank you.

If you wish to talk with an online psychotherapist, then visit my online therapy site to find out more about Online Psychological Counseling via Skype for overcoming anxiety and depression, addictions, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Psychological Trauma and other common types of emotional suffering not requiring medical treatment.
Standard counseling can be helpful, but often common talk therapy does not alter the underlying psychological process that is the real cause of your emotional suffering.
This also applies to the use of medications - medication may provide a temporary relief from symptoms for a while, but medications can not transform the underlying psychological process that produces your emotional suffering.
The type of psychotherapy that I teach online is called Mindfulness Therapy, which can be extremely powerful for eliminating chronic anxiety and for treating chronic depression or other psychological difficulties caused by habitual reactive thinking. Most people notice quite significant changes after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.
There are now many therapists helping people online. Skype therapy is a very popular service now and I have been offering it for many years to help people overcome anxiety and depression, really by learning more effective methods of working with your emotions.
The primary thing that helps is to learn how to break free from the habitual patterns of reactive thinking and identification with your emotions. We need to change this, we need to develop a conscious, mindful relationship with our emotions instead of feeding them through reactive thinking and reactive behaviors.
The moment you develop a conscious and non-reactive relationship with your anxiety or depression, then it will begin to change quite significantly from that point onward, and this is what I teach during the online therapy sessions that I offer. I will teach you specific mindfulness tools for overcoming those habitual patterns of reactivity.
Typically, people see significant changes once they learn how to apply mindfulness and most people will see significant reduction in the intensity and frequency of anxiety or panic attacks after the first couple of weeks of practicing the mindfulness techniques that I teach.
If you are interested in Skype therapy with me, simply send me an email. Go to my website and learn more about mindfulness therapy and how it can help you, and then send me an email to schedule a Skype therapy session. Thank you.

Skype Therapy - Speak with an online therapist
Online Skype therapy
Let me answer your questions about online therapy, and when you are ready, you can schedule a Skype therapy session with me.
If you would like to talk with a therapist online, then go to my online therapy website to learn about Online Psychotherapy over Skype for the treatment of chronic anxiety and excessive worrying and chronic depression, help for recovery from an addiction, OCD, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Psychological Trauma and other common types of emotional suffering not requiring medical treatment.
Standard counseling can be helpful, but often it does not look at the underlying structure that creates your depression or anxiety.
This also applies to the use of medications - the antidepressant may reduce symptoms for a while, but medications can not heal the underlying psychological process that generates your anxiety or depression.
The kind of psychotherapy that I provide is called Mindfulness Therapy, which can be very effective for managing chronic anxiety and for treating chronic depression or other common psychological difficulties resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most of my clients experience quite significant improvements after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.
The whole focus of Skype therapy is to teach you how to work effectively with anxiety or with depression or with any other difficult emotion using the techniques of mindfulness which I have developed over the years.
Probably the two most important things that you will learn during the Skype therapy sessions are, number 1, how to form a stable and non-reactive relationship with your emotions and also with your thoughts. This is critical because if you become lost in your emotions or your thoughts then you effectively inhibit the process of healing, of emotional transformation. You remain lost and that feeds the underlying habit that sustains the anxiety or depression. So, that's very important.
The second aspect of mindfulness therapy that most people find immensely valuable is to work on changing the imagery of the emotions. Emotions are caused by a particular form of imagery that become stuck and habitual in the mind. This emotional imagery is what actually assembles feeling energy together and forms the emotion, whether that is fear or depression or sadness or guilt. Whatever it might be there is always going to be some form of emotional imagery.
During mindfulness work we investigate, using mindfulness, to see exactly how your emotions work. We look primarily at building a relationship with your emotions and then investigating the emotional imagery. Once you see this emotional imagery then you can begin to change it, and as you change the emotional imagery you change the anxiety itself. So this is a very effective and direct way of taking charge of changing your emotional habits.
If you would like to learn more about the methods of Mindfulness Therapy that I offer over Skype then simply go to my website, read more on the website, and then contact me via email to schedule a Skype therapy session.
Almost all my clients see dramatic improvements once they start applying mindfulness to their anxiety or depression. So, I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

Online Skype Therapy for Anxiety and Depression
Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional mindfulness-based psychotherapist living in Boulder, Colorado, and I offer therapy through Skype world-wide, wherever you may be, as long as you have an internet connection and Skype, then we can arrange Skype therapy sessions.
Therapy with Skype is a lot more effective than the more traditional forms of telephone counseling or email therapy, which have been around a long time. Being able to see each other through the video function of Skype means that the quality of communication will be a lot better, and this will improve the quality of psychotherapy.
In fact, if you do therapy with Skype, it is really no different than meeting with a therapist in an office; it is really the same quality of communication is possible. But, of course, it has the tremendous advantage that you can conduct your therapy sessions from home or even from work, whatever is most convenient for you.
Many people don't have access to psychotherapists in their area, either because they are living in a rural area, or perhaps living abroad, or perhaps you would rather maintain some anonymity and don't wish to be seen going to a therapist in your local area.
This is understandable, because it is difficult for most people to manage anxiety, depression or addiction or other emotional problems. It is very personal and it makes it a lot easier if you can maintain that privacy which is offered by therapy with Skype.
If you would like to learn more about arranging therapy through Skype, do please contact me through my website and we can schedule a trial Skype therapy session.
I think you will find it very effective and a lot easier and more satisfactory than the more traditional medical, clinical approach to psychotherapy. I believe that psychotherapy should be very much more accessible and friendly and really focusing on teaching you skills to work with difficult emotions like anxiety and depression.
Much more so than taking a medical model. I don't actually believe that psychotherapy should be classified as a treatment, rather it should be looked at more as an educational medium to help teach you new ways of working with difficult emotions. That is from my experience.
So, if you would like to learn more about therapy with Skype and schedule a Skype therapy session with me, then please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you! I

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist and I offer Skype therapy to help you manage difficult emotional problems, whether that is anxiety or depression or addiction or OCD or if there is a problem with an emotional trauma. Whatever you are suffering from, you can get help through Skype therapy, especially the style of therapy that I offer, which is called Mindfulness Therapy and which teaches you very practical ways of working with your emotions so that you get some degree of freedom from the reactivity towards those emotions.
This is perhaps the most important thing that you learn during Skype therapy is how to form a stable and non-reactive relationship with your anxiety or depression or with your thoughts or other painful memories that you are struggling with.
The most important thing is to be able to hold these in your conscious awareness without reacting to them. When you react to thoughts or emotions you effectively feed those thoughts or emotions; you make them stronger. And, when you feed them then they are not able to diminish and resolve in a natural way like all experiences will do. This phenomenon known as auto-resolution becomes possible only if we stop feeding our emotions with reactive thinking and reactive behaviors.
So this is part of the training in mindfulness therapy that I provide in these Skype therapy sessions.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. I provide therapy through Skype for the treatment of anxiety disorders and with help with depression and for help, also, with recovery from addictions.
Skype therapy is a very effective alternative to traditional office-based therapy, especially of you are interested in being more self-directed in your recovery process. Good psychotherapy is really about learning techniques and methods for working with the content of mind, with thoughts and emotional reactions that tend to create problems when we become over-identified with them.
So, the style of Skype therapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy and the focus is very much on breaking free from patterns of emotional reactivity. It works extremely well and most people see quite substantial changes after 3-4 sessions of Skype therapy using the mindfulness-based methods that I teach.
If you are interested in therapy through Skype, do please go to my website, CounselingTherapyOnline and email me and then we can schedule a Skype therapy session. So, I look forward to hearing from you.

Online Skype Therapy with a mindfulness-based psychotherapist
Find Skype Therapy for help with chronic anxiety and depression
Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist based in Colorado, USA and I offer Skype Therapy online for the treatment of anxiety and depression for people who are looking for an alternative to medications or traditional talk therapy.
Most people who come to me have already tried medications and they're trying to get off medications because of side-effects or because they simply don't seem to work, which is quite a common complaint. Medications may provide a short term usefulness for treating symptoms, for reducing the severity of anxiety or depression, but as a long-term strategy medications are really not adequate. They are not sufficient because they can't change the underlying psychological process that is causing your anxiety or depression.
So anxiety and depression are produced by underlying psychological reactions, conditioned psychological habits that feed that anxiety and depression and keep it from healing, particularly reactive thinking, that's one of the most common processes that feeds anxiety and depression.
So if you want to really break free from the cycle of anxiety or depression, you have to work on changing these underlying psychological habits. These habits operate subconsciously and therefore, we're not really consciously aware of what's happening in the mind. We are aware of feeling anxious or feeling depressed, but we're not really aware of the process that's producing those feelings.
So I have developed a system for working with these underlying psychological habits that's called Mindfulness Therapy. And it's very effective. It's a very effective way of working with your emotions to stop these underlying reactive habits and to promote healing of the emotion itself.
So you can learn more on my website. But if you're interested in trying to very different approach than conventional talk therapy or medications, then please contact me and ask any questions you may have about Mindfulness Therapy.
But really, Mindfulness Therapy is about developing a very conscious and mindful relationship with your emotions, with your anxiety or depression or any other emotion that's causing problems for you.
The biggest issue that I encounter is that people do not have a conscious relationship with their emotions. They react to their emotions with avoidance or aversion or trying to escape the emotional pain through alcohol or other addictive process. There is this tendency to react and try to get away from pain, which is understandable, but which has the undesired effect of preventing healing.
So conscious awareness or mindfulness is required for healing those psychological habits.
So in Mindfulness Therapy, we don't talk about our emotions so much. Instead, we focus mindful awareness on those emotions. In effect, we learn how to meditate on how our emotions to develop this inner consciousness that is essential for healing.
So we learn to meditate on our emotions, and that is the primary process of mindfulness meditation as I teach it. Meditating on the mind in order to bring about healing in the mind. This is essential, otherwise you become a prisoner of those reactive habits.
So. I will teach you how to meditate on your emotions during our Skype Therapy sessions together, if you choose to work with me. The approach is very effective, and unlike medications, it gives you tools that you can apply yourself, including mindfulness meditation, so you can start to work on your emotions between sessions and develop the skills necessary to promote healing and well-being.
This approach is very effective and most of my clients see tremendous improvements after the first three or four sessions.
The key is learning how to apply mindfulness to work with your mind effectively.
So if you would like to schedule Skype Therapy with me, then please reach out to me. Go to the Contact Page and send me an email. Tell me more about yourself and how I can help you. Tell me what you've tried so far. And tell me what times work for you so we can work on scheduling a Skype Therapy session.
Skype Therapy is a wonderful alternative, it's so much more convenient and more comfortable for people who are looking for psychological help with anxiety and depression or addictions, too.
So please contact me if this interests you, and I'll be happy to help you learn how to heal emotional suffering using the methods of Mindfulness Therapy. Thank you.

Online Therapy for Anxiety & Depression

So if you're looking for a psychotherapist who uses Skype then, do please go to my website and learn more about the online therapy service that I provide. Skype is a very good choice because it's very secure, it's encrypted, and it allows you to see each other, which is a very important part of effective communication. So it's a very good choice if you are considering online therapy. You really do need to see each other.
So I work almost exclusively now via Skype simply because people enjoy the convenience of Skype therapy. And people really find it more comfortable to have their sessions from home than having to go into a therapist's office. Being comfortable is really important, that greatly increases the effectiveness of the psychotherapy process. You need to feel in control.
You need to feel free to ask questions and really explore the methods that I'll be teaching you. This is really important. This is your process. It's quite different than simply going to a doctor for a prescription medication.
What I teach is a set of well-tested methods that you can apply yourself for overcoming chronic anxiety and depression and also for working with the underlying emotional cause of addiction.
Whatever the form of emotional suffering that is affecting you, you can overcome that emotional suffering when you have the tools to do it effectively. So that's the focus that I take in my therapy sessions.

Skype with a therapist - Therapy over Skype for anxiety and depression
Skype therapy service
Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional psychotherapist and I offer online therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression.
If you are interested in working with an online Skype therapist then I invite you to go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service, and then simply contact me with any questions you may have about Skype Therapy and whether it's suitable for your particular needs.
Generally, people find working with a Skype therapist online to be just as effective as working with a therapist in person, and in some cases actually better, in my opinion, because it's more comfortable for you, the client. You're able to conduct your therapy sessions from the comfort and security of your own home and that can really improve the quality of recovery or psychotherapy in general.
So the style of therapy that I offer online is called mindfulness therapy. This is a system that I developed several years ago now and have been teaching worldwide. Most of my clients live in America but I also see people in Western Europe, the Middle East and as far away as Australia. All you need for working online with a Skype therapist is a good internet connection.
So mindfulness therapy is really a way of helping you change the way that you relate to your emotions. This is quite critical. Most of the time we simply become reactive and overwhelmed by conditioned emotional reactions. We simply become consumed by them. There's no relationship with our thoughts and with our emotions. So mindfulness is a way of training in becoming more conscious and more aware and less reactive.
You can learn to develop mindfulness towards your emotions and thoughts without becoming overwhelmed by them, without becoming reactive and feeding the suffering.
So this is a very important part of Mindfulness Therapy: Learning how to change the relationship to your mind, essentially, to the contents of your mind.
The second part of mindfulness therapy is learning how to respond to unresolved emotions that are fueling all of this emotional suffering. So we learn to develop a compassionate relationship to our emotions, rather like developing a compassionate relationship towards a child that is in pain.
When you can establish that same quality of relationship with your emotions. you're creating the absolute perfect conditions for those emotions to heal and resolve themselves. This is a very important part of mindfulness therapy and training: Learning how to cultivate a conscious and friendly relationship to your emotional pain. This is essential for healing.
So if you'd like to learn more about this approach to working with anxiety and depression and addiction and other emotional suffering, do please go to my website and if you would like to talk to an online therapist via Skype simply email me and we can schedule the session that works for you. Thank you.

Skype Therapy - Get Help for Anxiety & Depression
Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional psychotherapist based in Boulder, Colorado, but I offer online therapy via Skype worldwide. I see people throughout the USA but also in the UK and Western Europe and as far away as Australia.
People come to me because they're looking for a different way of working with anxiety or depression. A different approach that doesn't involve using medications or endless sessions of just talking about your emotions and your family history, and so on.
The conventional approaches that are what is most widely available for treating anxiety and depression don't seem to work particularly well for most people. Medications may produce short relief from symptoms, but medications will never change the underlying psychological process that's causing your anxiety or depression. And the same for conventional counseling or talk therapy.
Generally just talking about your emotions is not sufficient to change these underlying powerful habits that create your anxiety or depression. You need more than just talking about them. You need to explore the mechanism of how your mind works, how it actually creates anxiety or depression and that's the approach that we take in Mindfulness Therapy, which is what I specialize in and have worked on over many years now and find to be most effective.
My clients really enjoy the mindfulness approach for healing because it gives you practical and very effective tools for overcoming anxiety and depression, for healing anxiety and depression, not just coping with it. If you're interested in learning more about Mindfulness Therapy, then go to my website and read more pages and watch more videos there. And of course, email me anytime with any questions you may have about the mindfulness therapy approach.
So I offer online therapy via Skype. I really enjoy working with people over Skype because it's basically just as good as working in person if you can see each other, but it means that I can work with people all over the world. All you need is a good Internet connection. So I find that very appealing, myself.
It's also of course, very convenient for you to work with an online therapist over Skype. Being able to see a Skype therapist means you don't have to leave home, and if you're suffering from anxiety or depression or addiction, often it's difficult to leave home and it's often difficult to go and meet a therapist in their offices; it is too intimidating. So they added convenience and comfort of being able to talk to a therapist like myself from your own home is a very important factor, and it actually improves the effectiveness of your psychotherapy sessions.
It is really important. You should not really depend on treatment-based therapies, whatever they are, certainly not medications. But treatment-based approaches are not really empowering you; they are reinforcing the sense of being a victim that has to go to someone else to get their problems solved. And that's not my approach. I don't believe in that approach.
What I believe in is giving you the tools to work on your emotions yourself so that you can heal inside you can heal past trauma, which is often the starting place for anxiety and depression. It's about empowering you. That's the whole focus of mindfulness therapy.
We work on our emotions by bringing mindfulness to them. We learn how to form a different kind of relationship with our painful emotions that is not based on fear, that is not based on avoidance, that is not based on hatred, but is based on compassion. It's about learning how to develop a compassionate and conscious relationship with your anxiety or depression or any other emotion. This is central to Mindfulness Therapy. It's what really makes the difference.
Just talking about your emotions is not the same as developing a conscious and compassionate relationship. Typically, that is more of a process of being silent in relationship, the same way that you would comfort a child that was in pain. You don't just talk to the child endlessly about their emotions and trying to convince them not to feel afraid, if they're feeling fear, or not to be angry, if they are feeling anger. Talking like that is not really very effective.
And it's the same with our emotions. Just talking at them or trying to talk yourself out of feeling those emotions is not really a very effective approach. What is a pro effective is to learn to embrace those feelings with a great deal of compassion and acceptance, in addition to the other important quality of mindfulness, which is investigation, which means curiosity. How does it work?
In the case of emotions the emotions are fed by reactive thoughts. The first part of Mindfulness Therapy is learning to see all these reactive thoughts. That's part of the underlying habitual process that causes your anxiety and depression and that is not touched by medications. We get to see these thoughts in great detail and then as we become more conscious we can begin to change our relationship to those thoughts so that we gain more power and we can begin to reverse the habit of becoming identified with those thoughts and becoming imprisoned by the thoughts and beliefs that feed our anxiety or depression. That's really very important.
So, the first part of Mindfulness Therapy is learning how to relate to thoughts. When you can change that then you stop feeding the emotions that are in pain.
And then the second part is bringing this compassionate relationship to the emotion itself and exploring how you can comfort that emotion; seeing it very much as if it was an inner child or a small animal or, any case, something that you can relate to that's in pain. How would you comfort it? You already know how to do that. That's part of your true nature, your True Self. You know how to be compassionate and how to care for a child or an animal that is in pain. We need to apply this to our own emotions and this is very much of a focus in Mindfulness Therapy.
So if you'd like to get started with me. If You like the idea of working with a Skype therapist, then please contact me and let's schedule a Skype Therapy session at a time that works for you and we can begin to explore how to apply mindfulness to produce effective and fast healing of your anxiety or depression or your addiction. Addiction is what we call a behavioral reaction to an unresolved emotion, generally some form of depression. That's the most common core emotion behind addiction. So if you want to get started with some online therapy sessions with me, then please contact me now. Thank you.

Skype Therapy - A new approach to an old problem
The kind of psychotherapy that I teach online is known as Mindfulness Therapy, which can be very effective for handling anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression and other emotional problems resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most of my clients experience quite significant changes after the first couple of sessions of Skype Therapy.
Welcome. I offer therapy by Skype as a very effective alternative to in-person psychotherapy sessions. When you talk to a therapist online, it is very important that you are also able to see them, so using the videoconferencing capabilities of Skype leads to very effective communication, which is important for good psychotherapy.
So, if you are interested in psychotherapy by Skype please do go to my website and simply email me to make your inquiries and to schedule a Skype therapy session.
The style of therapy that I have developed for working online through Skype is called Mindfulness Therapy, and you can learn more about this on my website.
Basically, the whole focus of mindfulness therapy is to help you learn how to break free from emotional habits of reactive thinking that creates your anxiety or depression or other common psychological emotional problems.
Things like anxiety are produced by psychological habits and we become trapped in these habits and whenever these habits get triggered then we simply find ourselves lost in reactive thinking and lost in the emotional reactivity of that habit.
Mindfulness teaches you how to break free from these habits, and that is a really, really important part of overcoming anxiety. It is also extremely important for overcoming depression as well. You have to identify these emotional habits and then you have to develop a mindfulness-based relationship with these habits, because the more consciousness you bring, the more you take power away from those habits. This is one of the central features of mindfulness therapy - You take power away from your emotional habits so that you can have greater choice in how you want to feel and how you want to respond to the stresses of life.

Therapy over Skype for Managing Anxiety and Depression
Skype therapy for treating anxiety and depression
Welcome! My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional online therapist teaching Mindfulness Therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. If you're interested in therapy over Skype for treating anxiety and depression, then do please go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service and particularly the Mindfulness Therapy approach that I teach online.
It's very effective and most people that I work with really prefer online therapy to meeting in person with a therapist. It's more convenient and it's also much more empowering for you. You feel more in charge when you're conducting your therapy session from home.
There's no difference in the quality of therapy or psychotherapy delivered online as long as you use Skype, FactTime, Zoom or a similar video format so that you can see each other. If you can see each other as made possible using Skype, then there is no difference to meeting in person. And indeed, from my experience, people prefer online therapy via Skype.
People also find it to be much more appropriate for dealing with anxiety disorders or difficult emotions, where it's often very difficult to talk about those emotions in person. The interface of the video format usually makes people feel much more comfortable about talking about difficult emotions, and that's very important.
So from my experience working both online and in person, I prefer Skype and I offer my sessions almost exclusively now via Skype.
This is not a medical approach. I do not diagnose illnesses and I do not treat illnesses. And in fact, I don't recommend that sort of treatment-based approach. Medications more often than not cause more problems than they solve. They certainly do nothing at all to heal the underlying psychological process that causes your anxiety or depression or other form of emotional suffering.
So emotional suffering is produced by the mind and it needs a psychological approach to uncover the mechanism that produces your emotional suffering. Treating it with medications is not going to do that. Trying to escape your emotional pain through addiction is not going to help either. And also endlessly talking about your emotions is not really as good as working with them directly.
And that is what I focus on in Mindfulness Therapy. We don't talk about our emotions or our family history so much. That's of secondary importance. The primary importance is how do you generate your anxiety or depression? What happens in your mind that creates those emotional states? We start to take charge of this process.
We uncover the underlying blind reactive habits and reactive, habitual thinking and reactive beliefs that support your anxiety or depression.
We also look at the structure of the emotion itself. This is very important. What exactly is anxiety or excuse me, or depression? What does it look like? What is the underlying imagery that generates that anxiety or depression? The area of working with imagery is one of my specialties and it's a really interesting area.
Not many people study this or teach it online, but it is quite clear to me that all emotions are based around internal psychological imagery. How you see the emotion in the mind is what actually creates that emotion. That is the primary cause, the imagery, and that imagery becomes habitual.
So basically what happens is whenever the right conditions are present, whenever the right triggers are present, those triggers trigger that internal imagery and that creates the emotion. So uncovering this imagery is very important.
So if you'd like to learn more and you like the idea of therapy over Skype, then please go to my website. And please feel free to send me an email. Ask any questions you may have. Tell me more about your particular situation and I will be happy to explain to you how I think we can help you overcome your emotional suffering using the methods of Mindfulness Therapy.
This system of online mindfulness therapy has proven very effective. If you really want to overcome anxiety or depression or OCD or if you really want to recover from emotional trauma, then Mindfulness Therapy is the best choice.
So please contact me if you would like to schedule some therapy sessions over Skype with me and I'd be happy to work with you on overcoming anxiety or depression.

Online Mindfulness-based Skype Counseling & Psychotherapy for treating Anxiety and Depression without relying on medications
Skype therapy for overcoming anxiety & depression
Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I offer online therapy via Skype, Skype counseling therapy using mindfulness-based techniques to help you better manage anxiety and depression.
So mindfulness-based therapy is extremely effective because it teaches you practical methods that you can employ yourself between sessions and develop the necessary skills to manage difficult emotions like anxiety and depression or addiction.
Mindfulness Therapy is about giving you practical tools. One of the most practical tools that we will explore during our sessions together is mindfulness meditation. So I teach mindfulness meditation, but specifically for the purpose of healing emotional suffering.
So during this kind of mindfulness meditation you learn how to meditate on your emotions. That means being able to develop a conscious and non-reactive relationship with your emotions, with your anxiety, with your depression, with your fear, with your obsession, whatever it might be. The most important thing you can do is learn to a develop conscious and non-reactive relationship with these emotions.
So during mindfulness training we learn how to sit with our emotions, meditate on them and develop non-reactive conscious awareness. We call this equanimity and it's a very powerful skill. It takes training, but if you train deliberately and you know what you're doing and you have some good guidance you can very quickly get to a place where you can observe your emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them.
The second part of our mindfulness work is about healing those emotions, healing the underlying emotional pain, whether it is fear or depression or guilt or anger or stress, whatever it might be. We work to heal that, and that is the response of compassion, which is a very important part of mindfulness therapy and mindfulness training. It Is not sufficient to just see emotional suffering. We must respond to it in a way that promotes its healing. This is the definition of compassion.
So building this alliance between True Self and Little Self is a major healing factor in itself. But we can also help the emotion heal by interacting with it with compassion. And this often involves working with the imagery of the emotion.
So all emotions like anxiety and depression or compulsion or stress or guilt, whatever it might be has certain specific internal psychological imagery that supports that emotion, and that imagery is vital. It's what actually causes the emotion. It Is what gets triggered in the mind that then causes the emotion to take form.
Now seeing this imagery is very, very useful because once you see the imagery, which is formed out of habit, is reactive, you can change that imagery. You can help the imagery change and this is the primary mechanism through which emotions change themselves and heal. When emotions heal they do so by changing their imagery. They become smaller, the color becomes less intense, and so on.
So we can facilitate that. We can speed up that process. So this is all part of the compassionate response of mindfulness, is working with the emotional imagery to help the emotion heal and to let go of its emotional suffering.
So this is a brief outline of mindfulness therapy that I offer during Skype counseling therapy sessions. If you would like to learn more contact me. If you would like to schedule a trial session contact me.
I see people through Skype because I find that to be the most effective way of establishing a good line of communication. It's important that we see each other. That makes the communication more effective. The mindfulness approach is very, very effective. I've helped hundreds of people over the last ten years or so using these methods.
And I tell all my clients you should expect to see significant changes within the first three to four sessions. This is substantially different than conventional talk therapy. We're not spending our time talking about our feelings. Rather we are examining how they work and how we can change those feelings. So if this interests you contact me and let's schedule a Skype Therapy session.
