#BUSINESS CALLS FOR URGENT ACTION TO SAVE EUROPE’S ECONOMY ⏳🇪🇺 In the light of the Mario Draghi report, now is the right time to listen to the view of business on reversing the slipping growth of the EU economy. 👥 Representatives of European business federations, including the Slovak #NUE, were present in the audience at Forum Europa in Brussels today. Mr. Stefano Mallia, President of the Employers' Group in the European Economic and Social Committee #EESC, and Mr. Fredrik Persson, President of BusinessEurope, agreed that that it is clear there is no Plan B, only Plan A: to make sure that Europe stays the No. 1 place to be for both companies and people. 💬 Mr. Fredrik Persson emphasized that taking action is more urgent than ever before. The solution rests on 4 key pillars: 1) affordable energy 2) investments from both public and private sources 3) curbing of regulation 4) open trade policy ☝️ These remedies have been known for some time already. However, NOW and not later, action has to be taken – by both the EU and its member states. 📷 NUE/Forum Europa #Employers #NUE #ForumEuropa #BusinessEurope #EESC #Competitiveness #Industry

FIVE STEPS FOR A COMPETITIVE SLOVAKIA 💪🇸🇰 In a situation where Slovakia is still plagued by high food and energy prices, the standard of living of Slovaks is lagging behind in comparison to neighbouring countries and many businesses are unable to keep up with their foreign competitors, it is more important than ever for the state to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of domestic industry. 📈 👥 #Employers united in #RUZ are banging on the doors of ministries and pushing for positive change for the benefit of all of us - businesses, economic performance, citizens - because we are all in the same boat and we can only move forward as a country together. But it will not happen without a powerful economy. That is why employers have prepared the document Competitive Slovakia - key measures that are feasible for the government to implement in practice and will ensure a better position of domestic industry in Europe and the world. The employers' main priorities include: 🔹 A level playing field for Slovak and European businesses to ensure that domestic industry keeps pace with foreign competitors 🔹 Strengthening the position of Slovakia and its powers already in the development of legislation at EU level 🔹 Strengthening social dialogue at European level to ensure that our country is prepared in time for new regulations coming from the Union 🔹 Protecting domestic industry from harmful regulations and regulations from Brussels 🔹 Reducing dependence on mineral raw materials and strategic products, which will increase the resilience and self-sufficiency of (not only) Slovakia, but also of the entire European Union Read the full document here: 🔗https://bit.ly/4dtscV6 #employers #EU #competitiveness #economy #legislation #EU #industry

🌐 AdultLearningROSK: Challenges from the pandemics: adult learning in Romania and Slovakia In both Slovakia 🇸🇰 and Romania 🇷🇴, adult learning faces significant hurdles, with participation rates hovering around just 5%. Issues include low engagement in vocational training, inadequate digital skills, and educational systems not adapting quickly enough to the demands of the job market. Co-funded by EU, the AdultLearningROSK project is actively tackling these challenges, especially amidst the accelerated transformations in the workforce triggered by the COVID crisis. While the landscape of lifelong learning is complex, our project is focusing on several key activities as foundational pillars for further national development efforts. One such activity involved an in-depth analysis carried out by Confederatia Patronala Concordia and The National Union of Employers to identify barriers to adult learning, motivators for participation, and obstacles related to changing job positions. Today, we're excited to present the comparative analysis results from both involved countries – Romania and Slovakia. Stay tuned as we delve into the findings and discuss strategies for overcoming these challenges to foster a more resilient and skilled workforce in our communities. #AdultLearning #EUProjects #EducationTransformation #WorkforceDevelopment #Romania #Slovakia #LifelongLearning #ALROSK

THE SITUATION IN THE EUROPEAN STEEL INDUSTRY REQUIRES URGENT ACTION - THE EUROPEAN UNION 🇪🇺 MUST ACT NOW 🏭 The steel sector is a key pillar of the European economy, but faces serious challenges from high energy costs, lack of support from governments and unfair global competition. Current steel production in Europe is demonstrably declining 📉 and the transition to sustainable, low-carbon production requires significant investment and effort 📈💰 👥 In this context, the European Steel Producers Association, together with important industry representatives, is actively lobbying to secure the conditions that would allow the industry to be viable and decarbonised in the short term. ☝️ It is necessary for the EU to make this issue one of its top priorities and to ensure adequate support and regulation. 🇸🇰 The steel sector is important for Slovak industry, which is why Slovak #employers were present at the meeting - they were represented by #RÚZ President Miroslav Kiralvarga. The urgency of the situation calls for swift and strong action, because without effective EU assistance, the competitiveness of European steel producers is at serious risk of being undermined, with the consequent loss of millions of jobs. ❗️ #EU #employers #EU #steel #industry #decarbonisation #economy #europeans_steel_industry

👩🏻🏫📧 THE E-LEARNING PLATFORM OF THE ATYPICAL PROJECT ENABLES ACCESS TO STUDY MATERIALS, PROGRESS TRACKING, AND MUTUAL INTEGRATION. This conceptual framework addresses the topic of atypical forms of employment in the service sector. It analyzes the differences between standard and non-standard employment, defines relevant concepts, and highlights legal regulations governing this area. ⤴️ The rise in the popularity of non-standard forms of work is influenced by various factors: 📊 Changes in the labor market: Sudden changes such as the COVID-19 pandemic, economic crises, technological progress, and automation lead to demands for flexibility and adaptability. 🧑🏻💻 Modern trends: Interest in knowledge sharing, cooperation, decentralization, and task-oriented work. 📉 Employer benefits: Lower costs, better adaptability to market demands, reduction of the risk of redundancy. 💻 Employee benefits: Better compatibility of work and private life, flexibility, autonomy, the option to work from home. 🇪🇺📄 Non-standard forms of work are becoming increasingly common in the service sector. They offer flexibility and adaptability for both employers and employees, but it is important for them to be regulated and protect the interests of both parties. EU legal regulations define minimum standards and principles for various types of atypical employment, and it is crucial for these principles to be adhered to in practice. 💡 More about the Atypical project's e-learning platform can be found at the link: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d2PfeSR6 #NUE #employers #Atypical #project #employment #employmentforms
