One of the work the DimensionLab Product team is focusing on during August is refactoring of our inferencing & visualization pipeline in Siml.ai. We're moving from Unreal Engine 5.3 to Trame/VTK by Kitware Inc. to better support standard scientific visualization workflows. Later, we will revisit Unreal Engine, since currently it is slowing us down instead of allowing us to ship needed/requested visualization features. You might have seen a featured "DimensionLab verified" simulators in Siml.ai recently. We're making it easier for our users to kickstart their journey in doing AI-driven physical simulations. Therefore, we're building out sets of example simulators, training them and making them public, with the ability to be copied.

We are adding "DimensionLab verified" to some of our neural physics simulators created by the DimensionLab team so you can use them as an example when trying out the Siml.ai platform. The wording and UI visuals might change, but we wanted to add such a badge already to help our users navigate in the sea of simulators.

A wonderful experience. I have never presented a poster before, so yesterday I had a premiere at #EEML. This year I had an opportunity to present our research in #DimensionLab and #TUKE where we are working on applications of AI in physics simulations. I was curious if it brings any interest at this kind of event and I was surprised how many people were standing by a having a lot of questions how these PINNs work and what exactly we can achieve with it. I have presented three case studies where we trained a PINN without data solely on the differential equations governing the selected problem, namely spring mass problem, shear stress on a bone and flow development around the wind turbine in transient simulation. These results clearly show what we are capable to do with NNets and there are thousands of other applications in physics that are waiting to be solved 🙂 I also want to thank Andrea Tešanović for awesome poster, it looked so nice 🙂 Also thanks #IISLab for supporting me with this crazy research at University.

We just had a new trialing customer in Siml.ai do a self-onboarding through our in-app tour and docs, and got from registering in the platform, creating AI simulator with no-code editor, buying credits, to the training of his own physics model in ~30 minutes. He reached out asking abot one known bug when starting server. Besides that, there are many touch points we're working on to bring the best user experience when it comes to building complex AI models like the ones for solving physics. I'm happy that we're getting better and better in onboarding users! Proud of our team at DimensionLab! We'll get this to sub-5 min simulation analyses!
