✨ KOŠICE IT VALLEY AT THE MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF LATVIA ✨ We had the honor of meeting H.E. Guna Japina, the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia, and Miroslav Repka, the Honorary Consul of Latvia in Slovakia. Together, we discussed opportunities for connecting innovations, startups, companies, and research institutions between Slovakia and Latvia. ✅ We presented Slovakia's innovation ecosystem and the activities of the Košice IT Valley cluster. ✅ We explored the idea of a future business mission to Latvia for our members. ✅ We outlined potential areas of collaboration. In Riga, events like TechChill and DeepTech conferences highlight key topics in deep tech and showcase technology leaders. We invited our distinguished guests to the Region of the Future – Future of the Region conference, which focuses on development and innovation perspectives in our region. Did you know that Latvia already has its first unicorn? 🦄  It is a company called Printful. We believe it won’t be long before we see a similar success story in Eastern Slovakia!

🎄 CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH KOŠICE IT VALLEY EMBRACED THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT The traditional Christmas party for the members and supporters of Košice IT Valley was filled with great vibes, delicious food, and wonderful company. We were honored to welcome over 130 guests, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks for their outstanding collaboration over the past year. The evening was marked by a festive atmosphere, inspiring conversations, and shared ideas for future activities. A special welcome to the new members of our cluster – AT&T, Civitta, and DimensionLab. Our membership base continues to grow, providing new opportunities for collaboration and networking. This has already led to the creation of many remarkable projects and yet more to come. 📢 ONLINE GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE: A CHALLENGE WE TACKLE TOGETHER At the largest professional conference on women’s health and self-esteem, "I SEE ME," organized by Trust Women, we presented the results of our survey on online gender-based violence, including its manifestations in the workplace. 💻💬 As an organization focused on developing the IT sector in the region, we recognize that technological progress brings not only opportunities but also new challenges. One of these challenges is the phenomenon of online violence, which demands our attention and action. 🔍 Why does this matter? To respond effectively, we need a clear understanding of what is happening, who is affected, and the consequences. Our ambition is not only to advance technological skills but also to foster a safe online environment. This survey, conducted with the support of CIPE Europe & Eurasia, marks an essential first step toward understanding and addressing this issue. OUR STUDENTS SHINE AT THE HACKATHON 🎉 We are very happy that part of our work for the region is also supporting young talent through the Košice Academy of Software Development. Each year, our students become more active members of the IT community. An example of this is their successful participation in the Hackathon organized by Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia. Our students, Alexandra, Radoslav, Dávid, Jakub, and Róbert, won 2nd place in their category at the Hackathon, thanks to the Gigabit Penetration Test Challenge. They combined creativity and technical skills during 24 hours of coding. 🚨 SIEMENS HEALTHINEERS INTRODUCES GAME-CHANGING MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY FROM SLOVAKIA 🚨 The first ultrasound device with integrated AI - ACUSON Origin is an exceptional achievement not only for Košice, but also for the whole of Slovakia. Our member company, Siemens Healthineers, launched this device in Košice, enabling faster and more accurate diagnostics, particularly for cardiovascular diseases. Over 100 experts spent nearly four years developing the software and AI algorithms. This "Made in Slovakia" technology is improving diagnostics and healthcare worldwide.
