Last week I attended the International Astronautical Congress 2024 in Milan, Italy. It’s a great place to find inspiration, meet friends and partners from across the world and it’s always incredible to see how many interesting missions are being prepared. This year thanks to Slovak Space Office and Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency I had the opportunity to present our company’s activities to businesses from the Catalonia region of Spain, Slovenia, and Latvia. I also had the honor of presenting at a special networking event celebrating Slovakia’s 5th anniversary in the IAF, which brought together around 100 guests, including IAF President Clay Mowry, representatives from the European Space Agency, and Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Already looking forward to my next IAC. #IAC2024 #newspace #space IAC2024

Material characterization and understanding the reflectivity of orbital debris and near-Earth satellites are crucial for the sustainable growth of our space ecosystem. It is amazing to see the results of this important research presented at IAC 2024 by Danica Zilkova, under the guidance of Jiří Šilha. Needronix contributed to this important work by providing aerospace materials for laboratory measurements, with our CTO, Robert Laszlo, as a co-author of the paper. We are looking forward to seeing how these findings will shape the future of space sustainability. #IAC2024 #newspace #space IAC2024
This week at IAC2024 I have been noticing more and more the resonating message of building our space ecosystem responsibly and sustainably for future generations. Material characterization and assessing the reflectivity of orbital debris and near-Earth satellites remains one of crutial missing aspects necessary to understand the rapidly evolving space environment. By presenting new results of our work, led by my supervisor Jiří Šilha, on connecting the laboratory reflectance properties of aerospace samples with gound-based spectroscopic observations of artificial space objects, we are ready to open questions, start discussions and collaborations between space industry and international academia to address these pressing issues. For now, let me give big thanks to our partners Needronix, Comenius University in Bratislava / Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave, University of Bern and Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) for an amazing collaboration and looking forward to next steps in our research.

Do you even need a star tracker? With our miniature CubeSat sun sensor, Eagle Plus, we are bridging the gap between sun sensors and star trackers. Our highly precise sun sensors offer a reliable and affordable solution for missions that require much more precision than typical sun sensors offer but don't need the level of precision of star trackers. Eagle Plus has minimal impact on your CubeSats power budget and enables you to save valuable space inside your CubeSat. Check it out at: https://lnkd.in/exku6RC6 #space #newspace

We had an amazing time at the CASSINI Entrepreneurship Days 2024 in Prague, Czechia! It was a great place to network, discuss collaborations, and learn about new and fascinating companies in the space industry. Patrik Laszlo also delivered a short presentation highlighting the benefits of our CubeSat components for companies developing their own ADCS solutions or CubeSats. #EUSpace #newspace #Prague #space

Last week, we attended the RADHARD Symposium at Seibersdorf Labor GmbH in Seibersdorf, Austria. The conference focused on radiation hardness assurance, a crucial topic for our work in developing CubeSat and SmallSat components. Understanding the effects of radiation and ensuring our components can withstand harsh space environments is vital to our mission's success and longevity. Patrik Laszlo had the opportunity to present Slovakia's contributions to the space industry. This presentation highlighted our advancements and potential in this field. We are hopeful that this will pave the way for new opportunities for cooperation between our countries, fostering innovation and progress. #space #newspace #cubesat #smallsat
