Our Focus: Cultural Heritage and Archaeology We create ultra-detailed 3D models to preserve objects, sites, and archaeological excavations of cultural and historical importance for future generations. These models serve as a foundation for further research and offer the opportunity to virtually revisit sites in their former glory. Real Estate Projects Detailed 3D models provide an authentic representation of real environments, enhancing decision-making processes for property purchases or urban development planning. VR | AR | Touch Applications Looking for innovative ways to present your project? VR, AR, and touch applications deliver immersive, interactive experiences. By leveraging photogrammetry, we seamlessly blend the real and virtual worlds to showcase concepts in ways previously unimaginable. Smart City Solutions 3D scanning is indispensable for Smart City development, offering precise models for urban planning, analysis, and simulations. These models support applications such as flood risk assessments, noise zone mapping, and infrastructure planning. Aerial Inspections Using drones, we provide detailed inspections of high-rise buildings, hard-to-reach areas, and structural defects, delivering results not just in 2D but also in fully interactive 3D models tailored to your needs. This refined text maintains professionalism while being concise and impactful.

Reality Capture Network conference, #Rcon2024, was again an amazing experience full of insightful discussions, presentations and great networking. Tomas Barnas and Michal Gula were presenting some insights about the newest technologies used within the reality capturing industry "How to Use 3D Gaussian Splatting in your Next Project" Tomas was participation also on a panel discussion alongside Ellis Malmgren, Ken Flannigan, Sean Young Erik Peterson Michael Rubloff, Russell White, and Robert Killenberger focused on the topic of "Harnessing data overload" Arash Keissami introduced the newest update on his Nira.app and that's the possibility to view the point cloud data. Arash showcased it (thankfully :D ) also on our dataset. Thank you Matthew Byrd, Becca Ralphs and the entire RCN team for organizing such a great event. #dell #nvidia Capturing Reality #photogrammetry #gaussiansplatting

Measure and Inspect a High-Poly Mesh on Nira.app Create callouts for annotations or defects, measure edges, heights, and complex walls, and calculate areas and perimeters directly in your web browser. A geo-located, cropped, and optimized model (35M with 12x 8K textures) of this small Gothic church in Ochtiná was fully recreated in RealityCapture using 1524 terrestrial and 1071 aerial photos. The model was then uploaded to NIRA.app, which facilitates the showcasing and sharing of high-poly meshes with ease. 💡 Mark specific parts of your model or defects for yourself or your team using a straightforward and intuitive tool. Alternatively, switch to edit mode to create points for more advanced measurements. Capturing Reality Epic Games #photogrammetry #culturalheritage

🦌 From paper through pixel to a 3D print: This huge paper-crafted deer landed in our Overhead4D office with a request: "Can you make an accurate 1:1 digital copy of it?" Armed with a SONY camera, we took pictures from all possible angles and imported them into #realitycapture. 💡Tip 1: Consider all the small fragments of deer antlers as separate objects. Capture all the necessary images of the deer from all angles, treating it as a single object. Then, focus on smaller pieces, capturing each antler separately. 💡Tip 2: If you didn´t use a laser scanner and you need a proper scale, you can input the measurements of selected edges in the "IMAGE 2D tools" menu under "Define Distance." Alternatively, you can use targets generated by RC itself and place them in the scene before capturing. Capturing Reality Epic Games #3Dprinting #photogrammetry

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗼𝘃𝗼, 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗮, is an ideal subject for digital reconstruction using photogrammetry. Why? - The church is located on the outskirts of a small village, far from other buildings and people. - The church and bell tower are separate from each other and not surrounded by trees or vegetation, making them easy to photograph from all angles and heights. - The old structures of the walls are perfect for photogrammetry reconstruction, so a laser scanner was not needed to create a highly detailed and accurate 3D model. The project includes 1,233 ground pictures and 1,260 aerial pictures. 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗰𝗲, 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗮. Within this project, we faced obstacles like trees touching the facade, electric cables, and pillars that made drone flying tricky. Despite these challenges, we captured 4900 photos of the church and its surroundings. 𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝟭: 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘀 Pay attention to weak spots not visible from the air, like trees touching the facade. Help the alignment process by capturing close-up photos of these spots. Also, take mid-range and long-range photos to provide context and ensure good alignment in #RealityCapture. 𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝟮: 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 When combining aerial and ground photos, fly lower orbits to capture facades and crucial parts from a lower-level perspective. This ensures a seamless connection between aerial and ground photos for easy drag-and-drop alignment. Capturing Reality Epic Games #photogrammetry #drone #culturalheritage #digitization
