  • Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Panza Robotics and our quadruped crew! 🐾 As we approach the end of 2024, we extend our sincere appreciation to our exceptional team. Your dedication and hard work have been the foundation of our success. May your holidays be as stable as we want our quadrupeds on rough terrain:) and as warm as our overheating actuators after a long day of testing! As our newest robot prototype stumbles... err, confidently strides into 2025, we're wishing you the same: A prosperous, well-balanced, and bug-free New Year! #panza #robotics #quadrupedchristmas

  • We are excited to announce a collaboration with our Early Adopter - SEPS - Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, Slovakia's transmission system operator, in a groundbreaking study that explores the potential of our robot Artaban in electrical substations. This innovative technology aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability in high-risk environments. The study included live demonstrations of several robotic applications, which align with current trends in substation inspection robotics, including: Workplace Safety and Protection: our AI-powered robot moves semi-autonomously within electrical substations, evaluating safety standards in real-time. It identifies spatial zones, detects individuals, and assesses personal protective equipment. The robot tracks workers' movements, analyzes body posture, and detects falls. It immediately notifies the company's information system of safety violations, enabling quick responses to risky situations. This innovative approach combines human supervision with advanced technology to create a safer work environment and reduce workplace incidents. Predictive Maintenance: in this case, our robot follows predefined trajectories (missions) within substations, performing basic diagnostics and gauge readings on specific devices. It identifies discrepancies against reference data, such as oil leaks or misaligned equipment. Regular inspections ensure critical systems maintain operational integrity, enhancing reliability and reducing maintenance costs. The robot also prevents wildlife-related damage by identifying nesting sites and using deterrent systems. This proactive approach safeguards equipment and improves overall efficiency in these critical facilities. You can find more info and photos about this collaboration and our early adopters program on our website https://lnkd.in/d9iVetY #robotics #panza #predictive #maintenance #inspection

  • Growing importance of maintaining critical infrastructure, particularly in Europe, and showcasing cutting-edge robotic solutions for inspection and maintenance tasks - that was what the SPRINT Robotics World Conference for Inspection & Maintenance Robotics 2024, held in the picturesque city of Antwerp, Belgium, was about. A diverse array of robotic technologies was on display, including flying, crawling, swimming, and climbing robots, all designed to tackle the complex challenges of infrastructure inspection and maintenance. The event highlighted how these advanced solutions are helping to keep human workers out of harm's way at critical infrastructure sites. One of the conference highlights was a special day spent at the Antwerp Port House, offering a stunning view of the city's industrial and maritime complex. This setting emphasized the significance of the Port of Antwerp, Europe's second-largest port and the world's largest oil and gas cluster, in the context of critical infrastructure maintenance. We took this opportunity to showcase our latest developments and engage with industry leaders. One of the main goals of the conference was to facilitate meetings between companies dealing with digital transformation and top solution providers. Some companies are already actively undergoing transformation and presented their case studies. Others are looking to start their journey and sought inspiration and practical experience. We encourage those who are hesitant to begin: don't be afraid to start – just ask us for guidance. Our Early Adopters program, designed to validate and test specific use cases with potential customers, is open for participation! • The rise of Robot as a Service (RaaS) is transforming industries, but it also raises important questions about liability for damages caused by these machines. As businesses embrace RaaS, the legal landscape is evolving. Current laws often hold manufacturers or operators accountable, but debates are ongoing about whether robots should have their own legal status or if product liability laws should apply. As we look to the future, developing a robust regulatory framework is essential. This includes exploring insurance models to compensate victims and improving transparency in AI decision-making. Striking a balance between fostering innovation and ensuring public safety will be key as we navigate this exciting new frontier. Once again, thanks Martin Sincak for the invitation to the SIBAF® forum 2024 where we could start a discussion about these topics. Stay informed and prepared for the changes ahead! #RobotAsAService #AI #Liability #FutureOfWork

The previous year showed once again that #Austria is an attractive location for research and innovation, for companies as well as for innovative startups and scaleups. 🌆 We are happy to present the strong results of our consultations in our #annualbalance for 2023: International companies invested around € 1.4 billion in Austria in the course of 325 company relocations and expansions. This is expected to create a total of 2.419 jobs. The majority of these companies operate in the ICT sector, followed by business-related services and wholesale. #InvestinAustria
