We are tired of… so, we need a REST. If we choose the “wrong” REST, we will not rest at all. How do we choose the rest we need? it is necessary to understand why are we tired. - Are we Physically tired, because we do physical hard work? Then the best rest may be obtained by sleeping longer or by trying massage, yoga… - Are we Mentally tired, because we do stressful work? So, some distractions can be the solution, listening to music, some time alone to meditate… - Are we Socially tired, because we have too many interactions with people? It may help to plan some time alone, to dedicate time to think without listening to anyone… - Are we tired of routine work? COMPANY CULTURE is influencing the performance, including scrap, customer complains, cost of poor quality… What is the Company Culture? As the procedures and the company rules describe “what to do” and what not, the company culture is a not-written code on “how to behave”. The habits, the values, the approach, the behavior of the employees are the visible part of the Company Culture. For reducing scrap, for solving customer complains and for limiting cost of poor quality - action plans are implemented. In the best case, those are built as result of Problem-Solving approach that targets the removal of the root causes of the problems. Despite those quality issues are mainly caused by un-proper habits, behavior and approach of employees, the Company Culture rarely finds its place in the action plans. Often who is entitled to reduce the scrap or solve customer complains is aware that the problem was caused by a wrong approach and wrong behavior of employees, but the action set to solve the problem is a generic “training” or “re-training” of the employees. For sure this action has been already applied in the past and it has already failed multiple times. Don’t be afraid to identify as root cause of cost of poor quality: the Company Culture. If the right Company Culture is not in place, it needs to be corrected. Why visit electronica in Munich on 12th - 15th November? The trendy forum about AI, the interesting conference about Automotive, the news about successful start-ups, and much more are the components of the rich program of the fair. But these were not enough for us to decide to visit the fair. In PROBATUR GROUP we are always trying to apply a structured approach to our planning and execution. A business organization should make decisions taking care of 3 directions of interest: Stakeholders, Customers, and Employees. Each decision should improve the situation in one or more of these directions without damaging the others.
