The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic

On November 16, 2024, the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia hosted the 19th Annual Charity Gala at the Grand Hotel River Park in Bratislava. The evening brought together philanthropy and entertainment, leaving a lasting impact. H.E. Gabriella Sansici, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Slovakia, honored the event with her presence, showing her support for charitable initiatives. Guests were treated to a gourmet menu crafted by chef Jaroslav Židek, while the band Back2Back kept the energy high and the dance floor full. Moderator Roman Juráško guided the evening with charisma and humor. The highlight of the night was raising €15,466 for the charity project *Malý šéfkuchár bez Čapice*, which supports children and youth. The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce recently organized a Traditional Mussels and Fries Dinner, bringing together Belgian and Dutch expatriates for an authentic taste of home. Mussels and Fries, a beloved Belgian classic, have long been enjoyed as a symbol of comfort and tradition. The event, hosted at Restaurant Narbon, was well-attended and fostered a warm sense of community and camaraderie, with guests savoring this staple of Belgian cuisine. We had another delightful evening filled with autumnal charm and warm hospitality at our Patrons' Dinner. The event was a great success, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us. Our guest of honor, State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec, delivered an inspiring and informative speech, exuding positivity and enthusiasm throughout the evening. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Gabriella Sancisi for graciously hosting yet another beautiful event. 19th Annual Charity Gala Dinner

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, a press conference of employers' organizations associated in the Rule of Law Initiative took place. Representatives of the organizations commented on the government's draft consolidation package. Our Initiative associating employers' and business associations and chambers of commerce expressed concern about the way the consolidation package was prepared. She pointed out that the process is not in line with the principles of the rule of law, as there is a lack of transparency, cooperation between sectors and sufficient room for comments. The initiative warns of possible economic damage that could threaten the stability of companies, jobs and the entire economy of Slovakia. The signatories of the opinion appeal to the government to prepare the package transparently and allow for a broader discussion for the long-term sustainability of public finances.
