Empowering Youth for Impact! Yesterday, ComDev Africa partnered with RENEL GHANA FOUNDATION to host an inspiring training session for mobilizers and volunteers of the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab - Power of the Collective in Ghana! The focus? Youth inclusivity in decision-making systems to drive real change in their communities. During the session, teams of five mobilizers were grouped with two volunteers each and were given time to brainstorm innovative projects that will help tackle sanitation issues, create entrepreneurial solutions for youth, and ensure long-term sustainability. This collaborative effort directly aligns with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality)—as we achieved equal participation from both men and women. We are excited about future partnerships that will continue to drive sustainable solutions and empower youth voices. Cette rencontre a permis d’échanger sur des enjeux clés et de formuler des recommandations stratégiques. PREMIER APPEL À PROJETS FONDS YAAKAAR Depuis le 03 février, le consortium jeunesse Sénégal a lancé le 01 appel à candidature du fonds Yaakaar d'un montant de 40 millions pour financer les initiatives de jeunes dans les régions de Matam, Kédougou, Sédhiou, Ziguinchor, Matam et Dakar. ✈️ During our meeting in Lusaka, Zambia, in January, we took the opportunity to introduce ourselves to local youth! 🤝 During a ceremony of great importance, we discussed the opportunities and upcoming happenings in the programme's framework with young leaders and CSO representatives. 🧩 We were also incredibly honored to host three key people, as former members of the AU-EU Youth Cooperation Hub, behind this programme: Mrs. Marilena Maragkou from the Education & Skills Cluster, Mrs. Anaïs Amazit from the Environment Cluster and Mr. Benjamin Mwape from the Governance Cluster attended the ceremony and contributed to the discussions. The AU-EU Youth Cooperation Hub has a huge impact and contribution to this programme as we are part of the continuation initiatives of all their hard work 💪 ✍️ The Consortium members and guests signed our commemorative mural as a sign of dedication and commitment towards co-creating a more inclusive society in Africa and Europe 🌍 Thank you to everyone attending both physically and online. 🌟 Proud Moments in Lusaka! 🌟 From January 21–23, representing Youthmakers Hub, I joined our consortium partners Oxfam, Restless Development, Search for Common Ground, and ComDev Africa for the first Annual Review Meeting of the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab - Power of the Collective Having been part of the AU-EU Youth Cooperation Hub, I’m thrilled to see how this initiative is evolving, with youth voices at its heart. 💬 Hope Mukwinda, from the #YVL_YouthAdvisoryBoard, said it best: "I'm honored to participate in this meeting as this is a place where young people have a solid voice. And today, I represent all African youth." These three days were full of reflection, collaboration, and forward planning for 2025—and it’s exciting to see what’s ahead as we near the first anniversary of this programme. Huge thanks to Oxfam International for hosting this impactful event! 🚀

From 21 until 23 January, we held our first Annual Review Meeting! Consortium partners Oxfam, Restless Development, Search for Common Ground, Youthmakers Hub, and ComDev Africa met in Lusaka, Zambia, in a 3-day event to: 📃 Assess the impact of the programme so far 🧩 Evaluate and restructure procedures  🤝 Meet new colleagues joining forces in the team 🚀 Plan our next steps for 2025 💪 The representative of our most important stakeholders was present: Hope Mukwinda, a member of our #YVL_YouthAdvisoryBoard, participated in all the sessions. She ensured that all future decisions aligned with our young advisors' vision and ambitions. "I'm honored to participate in this meeting as this is a place where young people have a solid voice. And today, I represent all African youth. We all face similar challenges and have similar needs." - Ms. Hope Mukwinda, during the sessions. Les ambassadeurs du projet Youth Voices Lab en Tunisie se sont réunis dans le cadre du programme Agi_Re ! 🙌 Cette formation a outillé les participants des régions de Tunis, Sfax et Gabès avec des méthodes concrètes pour initier des projets sociaux à fort impact local. Ils ont collaboré sur des plans d’action, des cartes des parties prenantes et des stratégies de communication, tout en renforçant leurs compétences à travers des exercices pratiques et interactifs. 👋 Merci à nos ambassadeurs pour leur engagement exemplaire ! 🙏 Un grand merci à Westerwelle Startup Haus Tunis pour leur accueil chaleureux.
