Ksubi and NBA Vet Patty Mills Link Up for a Workwear Capsule Collection

NBA champion, Olympic medalist and tunnel fashion star Patrick ‘Patty’ Mills can add designer to his resume.

The Australian point guard for the Miami Heat teamed with Aussie streetwear brand Ksubi for a limited capsule collection that pays homage to his athletic journey and Indigenous heritage.

The 12-piece men’s and women’s collection features earth tones emulating the rugged Australian landscape and traditional workwear silhouettes that nod to the uniforms worn by his ancestors who worked as pearl divers.

The women’s collection offers the Low Rider Cargo jean and skirt, both made with heavyweight stonewashed indigo denim. Two tanks with buckle straps, available in khaki and ash colorways, add a workwear element to the line.

The men’s line includes the washed khaki Battler Vest and All Hands Cargo Pants made with gray ripstop fabric. A matching Oh G denim jacket and Anti K jean set feature Ksubi’s signature distressing and repair detailing. The same print is applied to a resort shirt and matching shorts.

One of Mills’ signature phrases, “Be Where Your Feet Are,” is printed on graphic tees and sweatshirts.

“During the design process of this collection it was important to me to tell a story unique to Australia,” Mill said, adding that he was inspired by his family and the hardworking Australians who have built the country from the ground up. “Ksubi has been the perfect partner to drive this story and collaboration and I could not be more proud of what we have created.”

Ksubi CEO Craig King said Mills was at the very top of the brand’s list of Australians to collaborate with. In 2023, the brand partnered with Mills and Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Josh Green on a bomber jacket and T-shirts for the Australian men’s national basketball team. Earlier this year, Ksubi released a sunglasses campaign featuring Mills.

“We caught up in the Ksubi New York store last July and got talking about his journey from the suburbs of Canberra to becoming an NBA champion and five-time Olympian,” King said. “The story arc of humble beginnings down under to making a splash internationally felt familiar, and with Patty’s love of fashion and music the synergies were too many to ignore.”

The Ksubi x Patty Mills collection is available now online and in Ksubi stores. It retails for $100-$280.
