Precisely where is your cotton coming from? This question has become more pertinent for both brands and manufacturers in recent years as cotton supply chain wrongdoings have come under the microscope. Amid growing awareness and legal action around forced labor, companies want to avoid sourcing from high-risk regions. Environmental misconduct has also made headlines, such as a recent report claiming cotton’s contribution to deforestation in Brazil.

Brands are seeking more visibility into the cotton agricultural supply chain. And as questions about material origins grow, suppliers need access to accurate data to deliver on customer demands and remain competitive. They also must monitor their own operations for non-compliance to avoid repercussions such as canceled contracts and being cut off from global markets.

How suppliers go about achieving this oversight from fiber to finished good makes a big difference. Relying on product-backwards approaches and supply chain word of mouth is insufficient to monitor and report on compliance. Instead, forensic testing and verification provides irrefutable proof of origin and weeds out false claims, meeting more stringent regulatory demands.

In this webinar, hear how you can create more transparent and traceable cotton supply chains to mitigate ESG, financial and reputational risks.
