Completely agree with you, this is the same way I look at it. Has little to do with the absolute value cost of the product, if you get tons of use out of it. I buy base game plus all DLC for any game I think I will spend hundreds or thousands of hours in.
Look at it the opposite way, if you only get 20 hours overall in a game, maybe then the cost will be too high for a triple A game. Cost per time unit spent makes it sensible.
If I re-read a book, do I have to pay the author again?
