But as far for me I have a soft spot for Barney Calhoun considering that he has managed to escape from Hell without being someone special to the G-man's eye, also he saved Freeman from being brought in Nova Prospekt at the beggining of HL²
shephard is a marine (has weapons training, survival instincts etc)
barney {security guard, my guess training would be minimal)
gorden (his just a scientist? so no weapons training)
in real life shephard would be better than both..
Now that Decay is exclusive to the PS2 version I can see why it didn't get any spotlight (heck there is still an official PC version floating around Valve's archive)
I like that you went into the realistic aspects, and I have to agree, but I also think that Gordon has the suit to help him aim and all that as a scientist cannot just grab guns, he needs training and scientists don't have guns
and Gordon does have weapons training.
