Writing this now at ~125 hours, though I've been in love with this game since launch! I have yet only played Single Player.

Been a big fan of ARK: Survival Evolved for a long time! ASA is a beautiful, WONDERFUL remaster! The switch to UE5 alone has done wonders for the efficiency of the game, but so many of my vanilla ARK:SE woes have been fixed with the QoL upgrades on top of it.
Visuals, AI behaviour, spawns, tracking, and map design are very much improved as well and the character creation is some of the BEST I have EVER seen! (Now if only we could get some proper face sliders or different face models, Wildcard? 🥺)

It is a beefy game, there's no denying, but even on the lowest settings it is gorgeous. That said, I can run ASA on higher settings than I could ARK:SE more comfortably on the same exact hardware. On average, in my experience, it runs more efficiently than ARK:SE on the UE4 engine. Fewer crashes due to common UE4 bugs and a better approach to the coding itself with all the years Wildcard has had to learn and improve.

Vanilla aside, the modding for ASA is MUCH more streamlined & efficient! Load times (at least for SP) are greatly improved; I can load a ~20 mod ASA game in about a minute at most as opposed to 10 for a ~6 mod ARK:SE game.

I have 6 hours logged on Steam but I only use the Steam version for tennogen. I am a long-time player on the standalone launcher and let me tell you: Warframe is one of the best games with one of the best stories and lore out there right now and it's completely free. Getting started can be a little daunting, it's best with a friend or two, but once you've got your feet on the ground it's just a lot of fun.

I'm going to say the same thing everyone else has and will: Just. Try. It.

The demo is free but I didn't even touch it before jumping in. This game is creative, imaginative, wonderfully built, and with a unique art style that stands out so well. And I can't say anything else without ruining the MAGIC of this game!

This is the BEST game I've played and the BEST $15 I've spent this entire year. And I'm writing this post on December 29th.
