Why is everyone talking about the difference in graphics when the original pod race map was so much more difficult then the updated version?

Why do the cut-scenes look better in the original?

Biggest difference to me other then the graphics seeming better in the original in the cut scenes, is the count down.

not really much of a difference I wouldn't download the mod for this

never mind, it seem the overall level has different lighting. the cutscenes also had different fields, like one is more zoomed in. i presume this was all recreated, and all specific setting on these maps. if i remember the original is much harder. i wonder why its more zoomed in tho, is it to adjust and count for aspect ratios or resolutions? i have no idea.

lighting's different, i guess. i presume these are videos or prerenders, so they kept the one from the original lego video game, lego star wars the video game. im comparing this to how team fortress 2 lighting change, but they basically changed how poly or phong or textures were lighted or some shit due to new technology. i think this is case for here. it could also be played under different software or hardware. but this is just the cutscenes.

so i'm not the only one who thinks the original looks better.

I recommend everyone in this thread look into the HD/HQ Graphic mod for the game. Much much better than BOTH of these. Much closer to todays designs.
