destination
A group of one or more transcode settings plus a post-transcoding job action, identified with the destination icon . When you use a destination to transcode a file, one or more new files are created according to the setting specifications and then a job action is performed on the transcoded file.
For example, if you use the Publish to YouTube destination to transcode a source file, the destination’s setting outputs a QuickTime Movie file, and then the destination’s job action publishes the file to your YouTube account.
Compressor comes with a number of built-in destinations. You can also create your own custom destinations.
