Share your location in Find My on Mac
Use Find My to share your location with your friends and family from your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch or on iCloud.com.

Turn on Share My Location
You can turn on Share My Location on your Mac, but you can only share your location from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Apple Watch that’s signed in with the same Apple ID. If you only have a Mac, you can’t share your location.
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
Select Me in the People list, then click the Info button on the map.
If you don’t see anything on the map, make sure Location Services and Find My Mac are turned on.
Turn on Share My Location (if it’s not already on).
To allow location sharing requests, turn on Allow Friend Requests (if it’s not already on).
Share your location
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
To see your current location, click the Current Location button in the lower-left corner of the map.
Click Share My Location at the bottom of the People list.
Type a name, an email address or a phone number in the To field. As you type, Find My suggests matching addresses from the Contacts app or from people you’ve previously shared your location with.
You can also click the Add button to the right of the To field to see all your contacts. Click a contact in the list, then click the email address or phone number.
Click Send, then choose how long you want to share your location.
Set a label for your location
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
Select Me in the People list, then click the Info button on the map.
Click Location, then select an option (such as Home or Gym), or click Add Custom Label, enter a name, then press Return.
Stop sharing your location
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
Do one of the following:
Stop sharing with a friend: In the People list, select a name, click the Info button on the map, then choose Stop Sharing My Location.
Hide your location from everyone: In the People list, select Me, click the Info button on the map, then turn off Share My Location.
Siri: Say something like: “Hide from my friends.” Learn how to use Siri.
Respond to a location sharing request
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
Click Share below the name of the friend who sent the request and choose how long you want to share your location for.
If you don’t want to share your location, click Cancel.
Stop receiving new location sharing requests
In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.
Select Me in the People list, then click the Info button on the map.
Turn off Allow Friend Requests.
If you turn off Allow Friend Requests, you only receive location sharing requests from those who are sharing their location with you.
