Use Siri to control accessories in Home on Mac
You can use Siri on your Mac to control lights, thermostats, and other accessories and scenes. Here are some ways you can use Siri, depending on your accessories, how you’ve named them and the scenes you’ve created:
“Turn off the lights” or “Turn on the lights”
“Dim the lights” and then say “Set brightness to 55 per cent”
“Is the hallway light on?”
“Set the temperature to 20 degrees”
“Close the garage door.”
If you set up rooms, scenes, or more than one home, you can say things like:
“I’m home.” or “I’m leaving.”
“Turn down the kitchen lights”
“Turn on the fan in the office.”
“Set my reading scene.”
“Turn off the lights in the Windermere house.”
Note: Some third-party accessories work with Siri. You are prompted to set up the accessories, and you can adjust their settings like any other accessory. See the Apple Support article Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app, and the Home accessories website for a list of accessories that are compatible with the Home app.
