If Maps continues to show a place you don't recognise

You can clear your search history and review your library if Maps often suggests places that you haven’t tried to visit.

Remove a place from your library in Maps on your iPhone

  1. In the Maps app, tap the arrow to return to your current location.

  2. Swipe up to open the Search menu.

  3. Below your library, tap the Places buttonnull.

    With your Places library in Maps on iOS 18, you can quickly find your Home, Work or other saved addresses.

  4. Tap Places.

  5. Tap and hold the More buttonnull next to the place that you want to remove.

  6. Tap Remove or Delete from Library.

Remove a place from your search history in Maps

  1. In the Maps app, swipe up to open the Search menu.

  2. Tap More next to Recents or Recently Viewed.

  3. Find the place you want to remove, then swipe left.

  4. Tap Remove or Delete.

  5. Close and restart the Maps app.
