If you’re new to Read Along, this article shows you around the app and helps you complete common tasks.
Set up Read Along as a parent or guardian
On your computer, to set up the Read Along for the first time:
- Go to Read Along.
- To verify your identity, sign in to your Google Account.
- To sign in to Read Along Web, Google recommends you:
- Use a Google Workspace for Education account with parental consent at school.
- Use a Google Account with Family Link for children under 13 at home.
- Can also use your own Google Account if you are over 13.
- Learn more about Google Accounts.
- To sign in to Read Along Web, Google recommends you:
- From the list of languages, select a language you prefer.
- Review "Important information for parents."
- To accept the privacy settings, click Got it.
Explore Read Along
Explore the Library pageOn the library page of Read Along, you can find stories you want to read. Stories are organized into themes and difficulty levels.
To open the Library page, go to Read Along. The Library page opens by default.
- If you’re on the Prizes page and want to go to the Library page: At the bottom of the page, click Library.
On the Prizes page, you can find your prizes.
- To find out what goals you must meet to earn a prize, click any prize icon.
To open the Prizes page:
- Go to Read Along.
- At the bottom of the page, click Prizes.
