On June 5, 2024, Bangkok Genomics Innovation Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Department of Medical Sciences and BGI Health (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., signed an academic cooperation memorandum. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Yongyos Thammawut, Director-General of the Department of Medical Sciences, Mr. Gornpoj Asawinwijit, Chairman of the Executive Board of Bangkok Genomics Innovation Public Company Limited, and Mr. Sujie CAO, Director of BGI Health (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. The memorandum aims to promote the exchange of knowledge, technology transfer, and joint research in the fields of genomic medicine or precision medicine, particularly in Clinical Whole Exome Sequencing, Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) for fetal chromosomal abnormalities, and thalassemia genetic screening in Thailand.
