🌱 Teaching the Future Starts with Empowering the Present 🌟 At BetterFly, we believe that creating meaningful change begins with education—and not just for children, but for the adults who guide them: parents and teachers. Today, we had the privilege of joining a Parent-Teacher Meeting at Anuban Phra Samut Chedi School, where we introduced the vision and purpose of our nearly completed BSF Community Compost Facility. This initiative aims to transform organic waste into valuable resources, but its success hinges on understanding and collaboration from the entire community. We used this opportunity to share knowledge with parents, teachers, and students about sustainability and the importance of waste management. To inspire future learning, we also gifted the school with insightful books from Picker Studio Hyun cheol Lee, fostering curiosity and a deeper connection to environmental stewardship. Together, we are laying the foundation for a sustainable future by nurturing a shared understanding—one family, one classroom, and one community at a time. Let’s build a greener tomorrow through education, awareness, and action. 🌍💡 #BetterFly #BetterFuture #BetterTogether #Sustainability #CommunityEngagement #EducationForChange #CircularEconomy #WasteManagement #OrganicWaste #EmpoweringCommunities

🌱 Today marks a significant step in our mission at BetterFly Thailand! We’ve just received a set of extraordinary educational books on insects from Picker Studio, a like-minded social enterprise based in Busan, Korea, dedicated to biodiversity and sustainability. 🦋🌍 Our collaboration, formalized with an MoU at Techsauce, brings a unique opportunity: together, we’ll be sharing knowledge about insects, ecosystems, and the vital role of all living things. This initiative combines engaging books with an Augmented Reality (AR) app, making learning come alive in schools on Koh Si Chang, Koh Mak, and at Phra Samut Chedi. Imagine the impact when young minds can explore nature’s wonders up close, gaining insights that may one day shape a more sustainable world. 🌿 This partnership with Picker Studio is a reminder of the power of unity, shared purpose, and action across borders. Let’s continue to inspire change and build a future rooted in understanding, respect, and preservation of our planet. 🌎 Discover more about Picker Studio’s work and join us on this journey: bit.ly/pickerstudio Together, we can go further. • Auto One Rayong Pioneers Sustainable Waste Management with BetterFly's BSF Bioreactor Auto One in Rayong is shifting gears towards a greener future with a revolutionary approach to waste management! Recognizing the environmental impact of organic waste generated at their gas station and convenience store, Auto One is partnering with BetterFly to implement a cutting-edge solution: the BSF Bioreactor. This innovative technology utilizes the power of Black Soldier Fly larvae (BSF) to naturally break down organic waste, transforming it into valuable resources. Here's how it works: * Waste collection: Organic waste from Auto One's convenience store is collected and fed into the BSF bioreactor. * Natural breakdown: BSF larvae consume the waste, rapidly reducing its volume and environmental impact. * Resource generation: The larvae themselves become a protein-rich source for animal feed, while their waste (frass) is transformed into a nutrient-rich fertilizer. This decentralized waste management approach offers numerous benefits: * Reduced waste: Significantly less waste is sent to landfills, minimizing pollution and conserving resources. * On-site solution: The compact bioreactor operates directly at Auto One, eliminating the need for waste transportation and associated emissions. * Valuable byproducts: The BSF larvae and frass can be used to support local agriculture or sold as valuable commodities. * Sustainable innovation: Auto One showcases its commitment to environmental leadership by adopting this cutting-edge technology. By embracing the BSF bioreactor, Auto One is not just fueling vehicles, they're fueling a circular economy and driving positive change in Rayong. Join us in celebrating their commitment to a sustainable future! #BetterFly #Sustainability #AutoOneRayong #GasStation #Thailand #BSF #Bioreactor #DecentralizedWasteManagement #CircularEconomy #WasteToResources #EnvironmentalResponsibility

  • 🌱 Today marks one of our proudest milestones at BetterFly Thailand! We're thrilled to announce that the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) community composting facility at Prasamut Chedi School is almost complete. This incredible facility will soon play a crucial role in turning organic waste into sustainable resources for the community. 🐛♻️ But what makes this moment even more special is the person who will be leading this initiative: Tar, son of On and Pui, local fishers from Ko Si Chang. 🌊 Tar, who recently graduated with a degree in computer science, has chosen to work with us in upcycling organic waste, an inspiring choice that reflects his deep commitment to meaningful impact. From the beginning, he’s been helping his parents with our first BSF community compost in Ko Si Chang, learning directly from On, who says: “I feel like a superhero when I go out and collect the food waste.” We’re sure Tar feels the same way. 🌍💪 A huge thank you to our incredible supporters and the entire BetterFly team—your dedication has made it possible for us to build a better, greener future. Together, we’re turning food waste into a valuable community resource and creating meaningful jobs for the next generation. Without you, BetterFly would not be where it is today. 🙏 Here’s to Tar, to our partners, and to the bright future we’re building together. #BetterFlyThailand #CommunityCompost #BSF #Sustainability #KoSiChang #Upcycling

  • Paradise Preserved: BetterFly Partners with Koh Mak to Champion Sustainable Tourism Imagine pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush green landscapes... Koh Mak, a hidden gem in the Gulf of Thailand, is a true paradise. But even paradise faces challenges, especially when it comes to preserving its natural beauty in the face of growing tourism. Tourism in Thailand generates an estimated 7.5 million tonnes of waste annually, a significant portion of which is organic. On islands like Koh Mak, with limited waste management infrastructure, this can put a strain on the fragile ecosystem. At BetterFly, we believe that sustainable tourism is the only way forward. We're excited to be working with the Koh Mak community to help them manage their organic waste effectively and responsibly. Our solutions: empower local businesses to compost their food waste with BSF, reducing their environmental impact and creating valuable resources for the island." Here's how BetterFly is making a difference on Koh Mak: * Protecting pristine beaches: By diverting organic waste from landfills, we help keep Koh Mak's stunning beaches clean and free from pollution. * Empowering local communities: We provide training and support to local businesses, enabling them to adopt sustainable practices. * Preserving natural beauty: Our solutions contribute to a healthier ecosystem, ensuring that Koh Mak remains a paradise for generations to come. Join us in supporting Koh Mak's journey towards sustainable tourism. Together, we can protect this island paradise and ensure its beauty thrives. 🌴 #BetterFly #SustainableTourism #KohMak #Thailand #IslandParadise #WasteManagement #CommunityEmpowerment #EnvironmentalProtection
