We are celebrating another Itron Season of Giving, and our employees have come together to support their local #Communities in some of the most magical ways. 🍽️ Itron Indonesia visited a nursing home for disabled residents and donated medical supplies for health check-ups, shared a meal together and created a sense of togetherness. 🎁 Itron Oconee participated in the annual Christmas Sponsor-a-Child gift campaign to provide gifts for less-fortunate children in their local community. 🎄 Itron Liberty Lake donated gifts to the Tree of Sharing organization which provides gifts to underserved children within the community. A utility in Perth, Australia has kick-started its Smart Water Meter project and we're excited to announce that our solutions are included in the deployment. 💧 We're working together with Water Corporation to modernize the utility's water distribution system. The utility will use Itron's Temetra® solution, a globally adopted cloud-based, multi-vendor meter #Data management solution, to address persistent #Drought by collecting data from 16,000 smart water #Meters being installed in Perth. New collaboration out of Colorado! 🎉 We're working together with Xcel Energy to manage the growing number of distributed energy resources, including residential battery #Energy storage, to support #Grid flexibility and customer choice. Xcel Energy has contracted with Itron to deploy an Aggregator Distributed Energy Resource Management System from Itron’s Grid Edge Intelligence portfolio to help manage #DERs. Itron’s Aggregator DERMS allows Xcel Energy to use residential #Battery storage through its Renewable Battery Connect program to manage peak loads and to support reliable #Electric service to customers. We are honored to work with LUMA Energy in Puerto Rico on this historic project to advance grid modernization. (English translation of LUMA's post): LUMA announced today the completion of the open contracting process and the next step in its initiative to install approximately 1.5 million smart meters throughout Puerto Rico. This represents a significant milestone in modernizing Puerto Rico's electric grid, and customers will not see any rate increases related to this initiative.
