The smell-detecting AI utilizes a technology called "Principal Odor Map," which employs machine learning to analyze the molecular structure of odoriferous substances. This technology can be applied in various fields, including the development of perfumes and cosmetics, improving the flavors of food and beverages, and even diagnosing diseases in their early stages. Additionally, the smell-detecting AI can help monitor the quality of agricultural products, control production processes, and detect air pollution and hazardous substances in terms of safety. Although there are still many challenges in its development, with cooperation from various sectors, we may see widespread use of smell-detecting AI in the future, such as smartphone applications for checking food quality or wearable devices that track health through the analysis of sweat odors.
