From the collaboration between TCEB and Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) in gathering opinions from MICE industry operators, "Thailand MICE Confidence Index" for Q3 2024. This key data serves as a tool for monitoring the situation and planning the future strategies to mobilize the MICE industry further. 📈 Confidence Index Results for Q3/2024, that stands at 97.75, reflecting that industry believe that the situation was slightly below expectations. This was due to global economic fluctuations, the stronger of Thai baht, and political uncertainties, (have) led to a slowdown in spending by international travelers, as well as domestic consumption, which has yet to fully recover. 📈 Forecast Confidence Index for Q4/2024, industry anticipate to rise to 117.98, indicating confidence in MICE business will recover and grow.  This is especially true with the promotion of Soft Power and Thai characteristics through large festivals and exhibitions, which are expected to attract more visitors and create added value for the country. Key factors affecting the MICE industry 👉🏻 Economic uncertainty, which has led industry to be cautious with spending and event organizing (67.42%) 👉🏻 Political changes, affecting credibility in attracting investors and international travelers (53.93%) 👉🏻 Rising costs, requiring operators to adjust their investment and event planning strategies (51.69%) Despite the challenges from external factors in Q3, MICE operators remain confident in the industry's potential for recovery in the next quarter. On 10th October, Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) organized the second workshop on "MICE Logistics 101" at Jupiter 4, IMPACT, aiming to provide intensive knowledge and skills in logistics to MICE industry operators. Logistics is the key to ensuring that every event runs smoothly, from transporting goods safely to their final destination and to planning events on time. More than 30 participants eagerly learned the procedure of importing goods, understanding controlled items, and selecting the right logistics partners to help execute MICE events more professionally and successfully. This knowledge serves as crucial tool, allowing event organizers to be confident that their events will run smoothly and be a guaranteed success. The atmosphere of the workshop was filled with determination from all participants, who were focused on enhancing their skills to make MICE events more successful. With the success of this session, (TEA) plans to host the next workshop in early 2025 ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to learn and grow together. This year’s event, "Unlocking Global Potential - The Future of Songkhla Exhibition," marked another key step in elevating the exhibition industry to the region scale. ✅ Online (September 30, 2024) An online seminar featured expert speakers, highlighting Songkhla’s readiness as a center for international MICE events, focusing on the region’s strong infrastructure and investment promotion policies. ✅ On Tour (October 3, 2024) A tour to visit key venues in Songkhla capable of hosting MICE events, such as Hat Yai Hall, Southern Science Center, Prince of Songkla University, and the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center. ✅ On-Site (October 4, 2024) A workshop in collaboration with local entrepreneurs under the theme “Enhance Local Exhibition to Global” to build networks and work together to elevate local exhibitions to the regional, national, and international levels. This series of activities provided members with opportunities to enhance their capabilities and strengthen local business networks.
