We stayed at The Point for 4 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. This was promoted on Trip a Deal and the price of $900 we thought quite reasonable. For personal reasons we visit Noosa every November. The Point is actually at Point Arkwright about a 10 minute drive south on Coolum. The apartment( townhouse was up the hill towards the back of the resort and it is high enough to get some sea views. When we arrived we could not get the TV to work and after a day of trying to fix it we asked the office for help. We did this by email but they say they never received our msg.It turned out the Kogan TV was a dud and was replaced the next day . The replacement works fine but why this was not checked before is not good. Apparently other guest prior to us had had similar problems.. The lady at reception was so,helpful and did her best to sort it out. As always the problem is not the issue, it’s how it’s resolved that matters. Other than that the accommodation is OK , nothing special . The units are privately owned so have different standards so you have to take what is provided. So in summary unit just average but office support excellent. I doubt we will, stay here again.
As a couple we stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a partial ocean view. Kitchen, dining & lounge together, separate bedroom with king bed, separate bathroom combines with laundry. Though the apartment was a little dated it was clean, comfortable and had all we needed. There is a reasonable sized balcony. We could park under the building. There are trolleys there to use and a lift. Next door is a good restaurant - Canteen Kitchen - and another cafe two doors down. A few hundred metres away is the main shopping ***** where there is a good fish & chip cafe. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we are in Coolum.
The complex has been completely revamped inside and out, bringing it into the 21st Century. Managers and Staff very helpful and responsive. Four Swimming Pools, Two Quality Bar-B-Ques. Good Free Wi-Fi. Excellent accommodation, scrupulously clean, close to Supermarket, Dan Murphy's, Doctors, Chemist, Pub, many Eateries. Bus at door for Peregian Beach, Noosa, Brisbane, Maroochydore Station and Airport.
We stayed 2 nights during one of our regular visits to Noosa. Essence is the place if you want peaceful surroundings but the convenience of the beach and village just across the road. Modern hotel with a quirky design. Staff are great always helpful. The village has plenty of eating places . The hotel is just off the main road, easy to,find and close to IGA supermarket and other convenience stores. Rather than drive to Noosa and then find parking we catch the bus that leaves right outside. Costs just 50 cents each way and takes about 20 minutes. We are coming back in May next year and are looking forward to this.
