Samsun Yurt Savunma Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (SYS) has been operating in the defense sector since 1998. It is located in Samsun and carries out all its activities with over 700 employees in 3 factories equipped with high technology. In 2017, it was selected as the third most successful defense company in Turkey after Turkish Aerospace Industries and TEI. In 2022, according to the Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) data, it is among the 20 largest companies in Turkey and among the top 10 defense companies in Turkey according to TIM ( Turkish Exporters Assembly) data. The company, which has production facilities in Turkey and in the United States, is the sixth light weapon manufacturer in the world as the producer of CANiK branded firearms and is one of the 5 companies in the world producing M2 12.7x99mm (.50 cal.) Heavy Machine Guns. Finally, CANiK's umbrella company, Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS), has recently acquired British AEI Systems, which produces 30x113 mm guns and is one of the 5 companies in its field in the world.Thus, the company will have a medium caliber auto cannon development and production capability.

IDEX 2025 has once again proven CANiK and its affiliates’ global recognition in the 30x113mm medium-caliber cannon segment. Leading global vehicle manufacturers have chosen to integrate the VENOM LR, produced by SYS Group company AEI SYSTEMS, and the TRAKON 30 Remote Weapon Station (RWS) by UNIROBOTICS into their platforms. With its low recoil and adjustable high rate of fire, the VENOM LR stands out among its competitors, while the TRAKON 30 further strengthens its position as a preferred choice in the field. As the SYS Group company responsible for integration, UNIROBOTICS also made a significant impact at the exhibition, featuring 15 Remote Weapon Stations, making it the company with the most RWS units displayed outside its own stand. IDEX 2025, CANiK ve iştiraklerinin 30x113mm orta kalibre top konseptindeki küresel çapta tanınırlığını bir kez daha kanıtladı. Dünyanın önde gelen araç üreticileri, platformlarında SYS Grup şirketi AEI SYSTEMS tarafından üretilen VENOM LR’ı ve UNIROBOTICS tarafından geliştirilen TRAKON 30 Uzaktan Komutalı Silah Sistemi (UKSS)’ni tercih etti. SYS GRUP şirketlerinden UNIROBOTICS, BAE’nin önde gelen platform üreticisi ve entegratörü Resource Industries ile IDEX 2025 fuarında Uzaktan Komutalı Silah Sistemleri konusunda bir Mutabakat Zaptı (MoU) imzaladı. Bu stratejik iş birliği, iki şirketin ileri savunma teknolojileri geliştirme konusundaki ortak vizyonunu pekiştirirken, bölgedeki savunma sanayii kabiliyetlerini daha da ileriye taşıyacaktır. UNIROBOTICS, a subsidiary of SYS Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Resource Industries, one of the UAE’s leading platform manufacturers and integrators, at IDEX 2025 for Remote Weapon Systems. This strategic collaboration will strengthen the shared vision of both companies in developing advanced defense technologies while further enhancing the region’s defense industry capabilities.
