🌟Powerhouse Brattørkaia, in Trondheim, Norway, designed by Snøhetta, is the world’s northernmost energy-positive building. It produces twice the energy it consumes annually. Its 18,000 m² design includes 3,000 m² of solar panels, generating 500,000 kWh of renewable energy, supporting nearby buildings, electric transport, and a local microgrid. Clad in black aluminum and solar panels, its façade reflects the adjacent fjord. A central atrium floods the interiors with daylight, reducing artificial lighting needs while offering vibrant, open workspaces. Ground-level amenities, including a café and visitor center, promote public engagement with sustainable design.🔅 Certified BREEAM Outstanding, the building is a beacon for energy-efficient, human-centered architecture.🇳🇴 📸 Ivar Kvaal Join PAACADEMY’s workshops to learn the most advanced tools in architecture from pioneering architects and designers!✨ #parametricarchitecture #parametricdesign #modernarchitecture #sustainabledesign #greenarchitecture #energypositivebuilding #Trondheim
