Happy International Charity Day & congratulations to all the amazing volunteers who support charitable causes. 👏🏼 As a company, we are committed to giving back to society. For almost two years, we have proudly supported Aynimundo, a wonderful Peruvian organization dedicated to empowering children with disabilities to achieve their personal and societal goals. It’s been a true pleasure to witness Aynimundo’s growth and their inspiring plans for the future. Last June, at our Atelier, 26 of our ambassadors poured their love and skills into creating three pieces of furniture for this charity. Celebrating 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐧𝐞 last week, we were thrilled to host our international Rubio Monocoat Teams at our 𝐀𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 in Belgium. The first day was all about making connections, updating on the latest developments and most importantly, creating shared memories with the family. A group of 24 international ambassadors joined us at noon to start their fantastic build-off for charity. Sharing their exceptional skills and insider tips & tricks, which led to the creation of the most beautiful pieces and sparked true friendships. RAW Modular Learning Experience: Summer Design and Construction Camps '24 Rubio Monocoat was proud to be part of the RAW Modular Learning Experience: Summer Design and Construction Camps '24, where two groups of students took part in the 5-day training week which aids students in bridging the knowledge gap between the traditional design process and contemporary digital design and manufacturing. The students were tasked to design and work with Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) in new and interesting ways. During the week the students go from theory to design concept to prototyping. The course aims to familiarise students with 4th Industrial Revolution processes of digitization in manufacturing by enabling them to go from modular system generation, through CAD design and CAM operations to a physical prototype that can be tested and further developed. These prototypes were finished with the Rubio Monocoat WoodCream & Durogrit, which are the ideal finishes for exterior vertical wood surfaces. RAW Modular in association with the York Timbers Chair in Wood Structural Engineering at the University of Pretoria, offer/presents this programme with the aim to further the timber construction industry, through timber industry exposure and introducing young students to ways of fabrication and design of structural plywood. The Chair further aims to promote the development of a trans-disciplinary mass engineered timber ecosystem to ensure that industry is grown and sustained. We look forward to continuing our partnership with RAW Modular, York Timbers, Mass Timber Technologies, Rothoblaas, Universal Plywood, University of Pretoria, FP & M Seta and the DTIC in this great initiative and to be part of the next Interior as well as Exterior RAW Modular Learning Experiences.
