We are excited to share that the Maritime Partners in Safety East Mediterranean Group Workshop was held in Antalya on the 1st of November. It was an honor for us to host such a significant event with the attendance of the industry’s leading companies.   During the workshop, a range of critical topics was presented by highly qualified speakers from our group members. These topics ranged from Causal Reasoning of Incidents, Human Performance Competency Development, Partner’s Journey with MPins to Dry Dock Safety. The presentations were carried out in an interactive format, enabling all group members to share their inputs and create meaningful discussions with constructive criticism for the industry, alongside valuable outcomes.   We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Capt. Ayhan Dukel, Capt. Recep Koysuren, Mr. Marlon Kerim Weinstabl, Mr. Sean Fourie, as well as Mr. Bharat Bhatia and Mrs. Sarah Waite from Shell Global Group, for their unwavering support throughout the workshop and during the planning phase. After gaining valuable experience from four SIRE 2.0 trial inspections we have conducted, our marine and technical superintendents, along with our HSSEQ, Technical and Crew managers, are now well-prepared to share their insights regarding the process. Thus, to ensure that this knowledge benefits all levels of our personnel, including senior and junior officers as well as cadets, we have conducted a SIRE 2.0 Company Seminar on August 21. During the seminar, our superintendents and managers shared their experiences and insights, significantly enhancing the understanding of the new inspection regime. Key points from each trial inspection were discussed, along with relevant observations. Main topics during the seminar was as following: ·         History of SIRE ·         SIRE 2.0 Focus Areas ·         Inspection Process ·         Analysis of SIRE 2.0 Trial Inspections ·         Crew Qualification, Document Control and CIC ·         Med Adriatic, Med Arctic, Med Pakize and Med Serhat SIRE 2.0 Trial Inspection Experiences presentations by attending superintendents and managers Additionally, the questions raised by both junior and senior officers were addressed thoroughly. According to YMN Tanker’s company policy, senior managers and the CEO conduct annual ship visits.   The latest senior management visit was conducted by our Technical Manager and Electrical Superintendent on board the Med Blue Jay, Med Emre, and Med Canary between 10-12 August. During these visits, the following key activities were targeted:   ·         Inspection of Vessel Areas ·         Assessment of Vessel Condition ·         Crew Knowledge Check ·         Wellbeing and Mental Health ·         Review of Company KPIs ·         Inspection of PMS Implementation ·         Discussion of Recent Campaigns, Incidents, and Best Practices ·         Evaluation of Safety Culture ·         Briefing on Company Policies and Objectives ·         Review of Training Programs   We prioritize open and effective communication with the crew during these visits, actively seeking their feedback and opinions. Our goal is to ensure a safer, more secure, and comfortable living and working environment across our fleet. #YMNTanker

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our fourth SIRE 2.0 trial inspection aboard the vessel Med Serhat, with IPLOM, in Golcuk, Türkiye, on August 6, 2024. The inspection saw active participation of our Technical and Safety Departments. With this latest trial, all of our superintendents and managers have now taken part in at least one SIRE 2.0 trial inspection. This experience has once again offered us valuable insights into the new inspection regime. Having acquired valuable experience from these SIRE 2.0 trial inspections, our superintendents are now well-equipped to share their insights. YMN Tanker attended the graduation ceremonies of both KTU Maritime Faculty on July 5th and Ordu University Maritime Faculty on July 4th. DPA & HSSEQ Manager Capt. Muhsin Demir, Crew Manager Capt. Menduh Aydın, and Marine Superintendent Capt. Umut Muammer Birlikbaş attended the KTU Maritime Faculty and Ordu University Maritime Faculty ceremonies as representatives of YMN Tanker and were honored with a plaque during both events.  Our heartfelt congratulations go out to the graduates for their outstanding accomplishments. We also extend our gratitude to both Karadeniz Technical University and Ordu University for their warm hospitality.
