This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Mercury’s website and our apps for iOS and any other devices and platforms.

Information we collect

We're not tracking users in any way. We're not keeping any logs. We're not sending any location information to our servers. If you save locations, we will use your iCloud account to sync those between your devices.

OpenWeather

For weather data we're using OpenWeather's forecast APIs. In order to get the forecast we will send location information for the location your request to OpenWeather. OpenWeathers's privacy policy is here.

Meteostat

For historical weather data we're using Meteostat's weather normals APIs. In order to get the weather history we will send location information for the location your request to Meteostat. Meteostat's privacy policy is here.

Analytics & Ads

Mercury’s app collects no user analytics and doesn't serve any ads.

Security

We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS.

Accessing, changing, or deleting your information

You may access or change your information or delete your account by contacting us.

Deleted information may be kept in backups for up to 90 days.

In accordance with applicable privacy law, you have the following rights in respect of your personal information that we hold:

Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. By using Mercury and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.

International Transfers of Information

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.

Our policy towards children

Our app and services are not directed at persons under 16 and we do not intend to collect personal information from children under 16 in our capacity as a controller. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, then please contact us using the details below so that we can take the appropriate steps in accordance with our legal obligations and this privacy policy.
