About us
Who is VENTURE Credit Union? We started as Fedchem Credit Union and became Hydro Agri Credit Union in 1960. In the beginning, our share capital was just $60 and we were formed to serve the staff of Federation Chemicals Limited. Our Credit Union would continue to grow merging with its offshoot, GRASTAFF Credit Union and changing our name to VENTURE Credit Union. We then absorbed Couva Community Credit Union and finally merged again with Arouca Credit Union to become the name and brand we are today. VENTURE Credit Union has three branches, Couva, Arouca and San Fernando and a membership base of over 50,000. The name VENTURE is an acronym that symbolises the core principles that we stand on and the promises we’ve committed to uphold in our service to our members.
