Teen Wolf Movie Update: Ian Bohen ‘Feels Positive’ That We’ll See Derek and Peter in Paramount+ Reunion
Don’t count these wolves out just yet. While a few key names were missing from the initial announcement of Teen Wolf‘s Paramount+ reunion movie, there’s still a chance that more of fans’ favorite furries will return to Beacon Hills later this year.

Among the M.I.A. actors are Tyler Hoechlin and Ian Bohen, who played Derek and Peter Hale on the MTV series, and the latter seems pretty confident that we haven’t seen the last of these former alphas.
“We would love to do that together, and I can absolutely see a world where we are reunited,” Bohen, who is currently recurring opposite Hoechlin on The CW’s Superman & Lois, tells TVLine. “I know they’re shooting here pretty soon, so you will have a definite yea or nay forthcoming for certain. But I feel positive about it. I wouldn’t want to see a movie where Derek and Peter weren’t in it.”
For what it’s worth, we posed the same question to Hoechlin earlier this year and received a far more vague response: “That I can neither confirm nor deny,” he told us of his potential involvement in the project. “We’ll see. There are a lot of things going on, but I don’t have any confirmation at this point. In this world, anything’s possible.”
Anything’s possible, you say? OK, in addition to Derek and Peter’s return, we’d also like them to recreate this scene for… reasons:
Written by series creator Jeff Davis, Teen Wolf: The Movie picks up as “a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. Actors confirmed to be returning for the movie include Tyler Posey as Scott, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Shelley Hennig as Malia, Reed as Allison, Orny Adams as Coach Bobby Finstock, Linden Ashby as Sheriff Noah Stilinski, JR Bourne as Chris Argent, Seth Gilliam as Dr. Alan Deaton, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Ryan Kelley as Deputy Jordan Parrish, Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall and Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar.
Other notable absences from the current cast list are Dylan O’Brien as Stiles and Arden Cho as Kira Yukimura. Cho was approached to appear in the movie, our sister site Deadline reports, but declined when she was only offered half the salary as her three main female costars.

Except they don’t have to shoot in order. It’s all about whether or not they can be worked in with their scene partners, so who knows? I heard that they added Hoechlin as a producer, but I haven’t been able to find any news on that to confirm. My guess is that Ian and Tyler wanted more money and some has opened up since Dylan and Arden aren’t back (unless something has changed). The logistics must be a nightmare for the cast that has been steadily working since the show ended. I’m just bummed I won’t get any Sterek momets. And I wish they hadn’t killed off Brett and Satomi so that they could return.
Still probably more about schedules than money… Does Tyler want to go straight from his long S&L shoot to doing another project or does he want or need time off? I really wouldn’t expect any more from him than a brief cameo if that.

this is good news but can we find out yet if theo, alec, maybe cora, issac, kate, gerard and a few other living characters will be back?
I know its asking for alot of characters but teen wolf protagonists were mostly invincible in the show therefore there is alot of survivors.
The man who played Gerard had a bad fall & hurt his head, so I don’t think we’ll be hearing from him for a while.
I heard michael is improving so maybe he will show up.
Honestly I’d prefer gerard to have been torn to shreds by kate, I was getting tired of him.
He didnt have many awesome qualities to make up for his bigotry.
My understanding is none of those people are returning and actually never asked to be in this movie. Cody Christian actually advised in an interview they never contacted him.

especially alec not coming back, they literally set up his character in the finale, i felt what they were going to do with him is scott dies, liam becomes alpha and alec becomes the beta/omega, whatever to him

Shame about Cho, I’d really like to see how her character evolved. Still not sure how Reed can be worked in… are they added ghosts to the supernatural crew? I can’t see them flashing back again to her ancestry for a lookalike.
I also am curious if Derek is still with Braeden, played by fellow Arrowverse star Meagan Tandy.

While he was a great character, the main thing is the story. A good story can make up for any character missing. That for me is the big question mark, with it filming so soon, character confirmations still coming in and actors only signing on now I worry the story will be messy to fit in and take characters out.
I’m curious about how they will bring Allison back from the dead. Any theories?
lets not assume crystal is returning as allison due to the fact she was also playing the chick who killed la bete in the past

i have no clue, i know peter and la bete were brought back from the dead although I forget how peter was brought back and la betes resurrection made no sense even in that fantasy context. Those are the only ones I recall being brought back from dead
Im not counting douglas the alpha being resurrected cause he was more in a frozen state than dead. I dont count scott either when he was beaten by liam, his heart merely stopped for a few min.
I have a theory, there was an episode when Issac was freaking out, both he and Allison were in an elevator and he accidentally grabbed her and scratching her arm, this was just 2 episodes before her death…Supposed when she died she later came back because she was became a wolf. This is just my speculation on how they could bring her back, that she never really died and just had her Father not tell Scott. We know at the time Reed wanted to leave the show so for all it was then she was just dead. But if the writers are smart enough to catch that episode that she got scratched that could be used.
Only a scratch from an Alpha can do that (in teenwolf cannon). That was why Kate turned from Peter’s claws slitting her throat. They also said it has to be a deep scratch. Issac wasn’t an alpha and also didn’t scratch deeply.

I have read conflicting reports. Well, let’s hope this does lead to more movies/TV Shows set in the “Teen Wolf” Universe. If “Vampire Diaries” can expand its universe, so can “Teen Wolf.”

I think for Teen Wolf, it was said that there was a deal with Paramount+ for up to 3 movies (if the first successful) but a new series/revival set in the teen wolf universe is not going to happen.
As Teen Wolf movie starts filming mid this month and Superman & Lois filming ends April 13th, there’s probably a small window that they’ll be available while teen wolf is still filming. Likely means it’ll be a fairly short appearance as the other cast will have been filming for a month before Tyler is available (Ian likely to have more availability as his part is smaller in S&L) but I think Ian is due to start next season of Yellowstone in May.

Dylan O’Brien needs to get over himself. He lies to everyone saying he loved his time on TW and would come back and yet when it’s time, he refuses. His ego is inflated because he did a few movies where he basically played Stiles.
I have no interest in a movie where we don’t get Stydia. Lets see how many people pay to watch this movie. Good luck with that
You don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. He already has other projects lined up and may not be able to work the TW movie into his schedule. That isn’t his fault. It’s an issue of timing. He still talks fondly about his time on the show whenever he’s asked and you know he’d spill the tea at this point if he had any issues to discuss. And we can’t blame him for earning a higher paycheck because he’s been more successful from the show. You’d do the exact same in his position…just like every other human being that has bills to pay and needs to eat.

Actually the reason Dylan O’Brian is not returning has nothing to do with his ego and everything to do with backing his friend Arden Cho who was offered to return to TW as Kira but Paramount only wanted to pay her half what the other “WHITE” female Co-Stars are getting and she thought that was so cheap of them that she turned down to return and made a big Post on her Twitter and Instagram. Dylan also made a post on Twitter as well backing her up and that he would not return either.
The way Arden was treated is terrible, saying that Dylan is not coming back because off supporting her is a false narrative being spread by fans, He liked a tweet, he didn’t make a post or comment. He just liked a tweet that said “Arden says nah”, which shows support but gives no reason as to why the contract negotiations to come back fell through for him.
I just can’t see it being anywhere near as good without Dylan :/

Yes, the show is an ensemble cast. It shouldn’t depend on one actor. And there is always the possibility that Dylan will appear in future “Teen Wolf” movies. So, people need to chill. There is always the next movie. And last time I checked, O’Brian has had a lot of things going in his life. And, it’s taken a long time for him to get over his injury. When he feels up to it, I’m sure that Dylan will be game to appear in future “Teen Wolf.”
Interestingly “Teen Wolf -movie” has appeared within the last couple of days on Tyler Hoechlin’s IMDB listing.
I would say he’s likely going to appear but can’t see it being much more than a cameo as Superman and Lois is not due to complete season 2 filming until mid April. Seeing as Tyler is double dutying in season 2 as Clark/Superman/Bizarro I can’t see him being able to take time out or finish up before the season is over.

By far the most beloved character in Teen Wolf is Susie Ursitti who played Boof.
Just check out social chats and you’ll see that still people have a crush. Abs all the new people who see the film and like reach out to her via social media. Susie has never tried to benefit from this amazingly nostalgic original. And she looks great. Why not add her to the cast ?

ehh idk, i tend to think movie audiences are somewhat different than tv audiences, like I tend to think sci fi and fantasy does better views in films than tv, like the general audience rather have a taste of that type of world rather than a weekly basis.
And teen wolf I think is a cult following type show, I dont think its big enough to make alot of movie tickets especially since stiles isnt showing up.

You know, after teasing the whole “Sterek” ship – even going so far as to have the kinda-sorta-but not couple do a flirty “vote for Teen Wolf” promo on an actual ship – but then choosing to end the series without ever following through…I don’t know. It all felt like Jeff Davis got what he wanted, and gave us the two handed flip off on his way out. The opportunity is gone. I’ve lost interest.
I’m seeing a lot of NOT WITHOUT STILES, and I agree he was a huge part of the show, but the main character has always been Scott McCall. Scott McCall IS Teen Wolf…even though he’s not a teenager anymore. My point, I guess, regardless of who isn’t in, so long as Tyler Posey is, a good writing staff can make it happen.
