Former Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron has lined up a new emceeing gig: He will host a remake of the game show Tic-Tac-Dough, which is being piloted at NBCUniversal, our sister site Deadline reports.
The original program — in which contestants answer questions in various categories to put an X or an O on the board — aired on NBC in the 1950s, followed by a run on CBS from 1978-86 and then in syndication in 1990.
Bergeron was let go from Dancing With the Stars in 2020, following a 15-year tenure as host of the ABC competition series.

Which of today’s TVLine Items pique your interest?
Who will be center square!?!?
That was Hollywood Squares.
TicTacDough was purely trivia and knowledge with hope and luck on your side as opposed to a fifty fifty shot of agree or disagree.
Don’t forget the dragon! I hope they bring back the dragon!
Can you add a Tic-Tac-Dough this fall September 12, 2022 on NBC.
Can you add a Tic-Tac-Dough this fall September 12, 2022 on WVBT FOX at 12:30pm on the weekdays. and on WMYA MNT at 7:00pm on the weekdays.
Can you add a Tic-Tac-Dough this fall September 12, 2022 on WVBT FOX at 12:30pm on the weekdays. and on WLOS MNT at 7:00pm & 7:30pm on the weekdays.
Wrong show. You are thinking of Hollywood Squares.
it is correct not wrong tom bergeron doing the dragon tic tac dough
Like, can’t he just host Hollywood Squares again?
yeah after watching his era of Hollywood Squares (including the You Fool! episode) it made me wish they would bring it back from the dead
As preferable as that would be, they don’t have to book/pay celebrities for Tic Tac Dough.
He’s a likeable host/emcee. I was never into DWTS, but still shocked at forced exit. I hope this does well for him.
Don’t think people will be happy until Tom returns to DWTS!! I know that won’t happen, but we can dream.
I grew up watching Wink Martindale hosting TTD. Tom will do great.
Yay Tom B.! Welcome back!
yeah i have a feeling this is why they went to tom because as intolerable as whoopie goldberg is right now on the view she was great on hollywood squares as her and tom had great back and forth banter
Tic-Tac-Dough was dreadful and boring.
The silly animated dragon was annoying.
I never understood how anyone enjoyed this junk.
“* Season 2 of Netflix’s Sexy Beasts (yes, already) will be released Thursday, Oct. 7.”
It’s called the other half of the first season, the order of S1 was for 12 episodes. Netflix nowadays often splits seasons in half, like Lupin, Meateater, the Kevin Smith He-Man series, Money Heist, etc.
I would live to see tic tac dough on regular tv not this streaming service
At least its not hosted by a washed up rapper from the 90s, unlike it’s sister show The Joker’s Wild.
