We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about lotsa shows including Criminal Minds: Evolution, Sweet Tooth, the Daytime Emmys and Doctor Who!
1 | Seeing as Sweet Tooth creator Jim Mickle told TVLine that it’s up for interpretation: Do you think Big Man survived the ordeal at the cave or did he die just outside of it?
2 | Did Doctor Who’s Fifteen fall a bit hard and fast for Jonathan Groff’s Rogue, given the Time Lord’s previous, slowwww-burning romantic travails? Also, what’s your theory on who Rogue is, seeing as 1) he seemed to recognize one of the Doctor’s past faces and 2) his ship has a TARDIS-like control panel?
3 | In the Netflix movie Hit Man, wouldn’t security cam footage from outside the nightclub — or any lookie-loo recording the loud argument on their iPhone — blow up Gary’s whole story?
4 | Was this the second (and maybe third?) year in a row that the Daytime Emmys’ opening monologue began with some variation on “Wow, you soap opera people sure know how to dress up, too!”? Maybe read/respect the room from here on?
5 | Anyone else feel like 100% of the percentages on Fox’s The 1% Club are 100% made up? Like, are we really to believe only “60%” of Americans get this question right? ▼
6 | As TVLine reader Sarah quipped, should The Morning Show do “the funniest thing” and recast Julianna Margulies’ character with Archie Panjabi?
7 | Let’s face it: No matter how great a villain Paul Giamatti is in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, he’ll never top his performance as the nefarious Marty Wolf in 2002’s Oscar-worthy teen comedy Big Fat Liar, right?
8 | Given Mother Koril’s ominous question in this week’s Star Wars: The Acolyte, is it safe to assume that Mother Aniseya used dark magic to create Osha and Mae? And do we really think that fire alone killed the witches?
9 | To anyone in the Presumed Innocent/Seinfeld Venn diagram, did you realize that the incarcerated and hirsute Liam Reynolds is being played by Mark Harelik aka Milos the horrible tennis player?
10 | On Criminal Minds: Evolution, why would you hide in this part of the closet, and not wedged into the front corner, out of view of the louvered doors? ▼ And given what JJ is now feeling, how conspicuous will it be that Josh Stewart won’t appear this season as husband Will?
11 | Did Walker‘s David Luna twist shock and devastate you?
12 | Any other Evil viewers incredibly surprised that Ben’s long-ago bloodbath date was revisited in this week’s episode?
13 | When “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” came on at the end of the BRATS documentary, were you like, “Well, of course“? And which was your favorite Brat Packer interview?
14 | Any other The Boys fans wishing that “Vought on Ice” was a real show you could attend (but with a lot less blood and mayhem)?
15 | Bridgerton Season 3, Part 2 spoiler alert! How is Penelope overhearing Ton gossip now that she has outed herself as Lady Whistledown? Wouldn’t it make more sense for people to mind their words around her?
16 | What has Pretty Little Liars: Summer School done to the Noa we knew and loved? Wasn’t she totally out of line for taking that bat to Shawn’s car, simply off Jen’s word that he yelled at her? Do we even believe Jen that Shawn put a hole in Noa’s wall?
17 | American police-procedural enthusiasts: Wasn’t it quite the change of pace when Blue Lights’ Grace had to be reminded to pull her gun from its holster during a dangerous standoff?
Hit the comments with your answers and any TV Qs of your own!
5 – Nope. I totally believe that only 60% surveyed knew that answer. I would have guessed more like 50%.
This is the country where Arby’s had to discontinue a third-pound burger because so many people thought it was smaller than a quarter-pounder.
16 – EXACTLY – Where is NOA!?! Who is this girl! And nope, no way Shawn made the hole.
11 – Walker – Luna and Perez were definitely getting too happy together to not have a tragedy strike
15 – I think a lot of her gossip will be from either the Modiste or other people that love gossip – like ‘you didn’t hear it from me, but I heard…’. I also think after a time people will kinda forget to watch themselves. We saw how quickly Eloise’s slip made it around one party.
16 – Noa is pissing me off. Jen is an awful character and I don’t understand how Noa keeps getting drawn into her BS. Why would she ever think her calm, loving boyfriend would treat Jen that way when all that girl has done is lie and try to break the two of them up?!
#6 – Make. This. Happen.
Sweet Tooth ended with Gus and Big Man drinking maple syrup together: He’s alive.
2) Okay, but have you seen Jonathan Groff? And he plays DnD.
7 | Let’s face it: No matter how great a villain Paul Giamatti is in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, he’ll never top his performance as the nefarious Marty Wolf in 2002’s Oscar-worthy teen comedy Big Fat Liar, right?
~
Let’s hope he plays an Andoiran. And like, a Jeffry Combs/Shran style Andorian, not Disco style
~
8 | Given Mother Koril’s ominous question in this week’s Star Wars: The Acolyte, is it safe to assume that Mother Aniseya used dark magic to create Osha and Mae? And do we really think that fire alone killed the witches?
~
Is it that the Jedi are supposed to think THEY are the chosen one? And fire does a lot
NVM Will, I couldn’t get over how gaunt JJ looked and I’m fairly sure her eyebrows were darkened – there were moments I didn’t recognise her!
It is tough on actors esp female ones in long running shows to be compared to how they look on all the reruns of early seasons… Only one unchanged is Garcia… She and JJ the only ones in season 1 left..
With everything going on with JJ in Criminal Minds the bigger miss is Reid considering how they have helped each other over the years. The whole where is Reid is now becoming an issue
He and Matt have only been away on assignment for about six weeks, in Criminal Minds time. Not terribly conspicuous, yet. –Mgmt.
11 – Seems like the worst Walker episode ever – 90% dreams/hallucinations. The ‘twist’ did surprise – guess they didn’t know they were in the last season when they filmed it – or they could have left Cassie with some happiness.
It’s not the last episode. I suppose there is a small hope that he survives. But, I doubt it.
Let’s be real, did we ever love Noa on PLL?
11. I was more angry that she didn’t radio for help immediately. I was shouting at the tv for her to do something.
11. Terrible decision by the writers. Did they not see how popular JJC was on Independence? Why were they not wanting to keep him around for a possible season 5? I’m actually glad Walker was canceled now and I don’t want to watch the final episodes. SO disappointed!!
5 yes with our education system. My 13 yo cousin didn’t realize the people on our money are real!!!
8 – We only saw things as Mae recalls them. Something bigger made Torbin go into his trance for all those years and immediately drink the poison upon seeing Mae. The Jedi have a bigger role in the coven’s extinction than we’re led to believe.
Hated the Walker David Luna twist
Luna died???? Why would you do that??? Just devastating and sad and unnecessary! Boo!
1 – Jeff Lemire created Sweet Tooth, Jim Mickle developed it for television.
